From USA Today best selling author, Scarlett Cole, writing as S. Cole, comes an electrifying small town MC, grumpy/sunshine, enemies to lovers romance.

Quinn
Two things happened on my thirteenth birthday. My older sister went missing. And I told Smoke Callahan, the Iron Outlaws Road Captain, that it was his fault she was gone.
Fourteen years later, I still hate him.
But hate doesn’t keep me safe when the Bratva sets its sights on me.
I need protection. The kind only a ruthless, broken man like Smoke can provide.
So I make him an offer. I’ll help him recover from the burns that nearly cost him his life. In return, he keeps me breathing.
It should be simple. It isn’t.
Because the more time I spend in his orbit, the more I see the man behind the scars. The one who carries a past as heavy as mine. And when he looks at me, it’s not hatred I see in his dark eyes anymore.
It’s something far more dangerous.

Smoke
Quinn Moran was just a kid when she came at me, fists flying, blaming me for her sister’s disappearance. I let her. I deserved it.
Now she’s all grown up—sharp-tongued, stubborn as hell, and standing in my cabin, asking for my protection.
I should say no. I should send her away.
But I don’t. Because even if she still hates me, I’ll kill anyone who tries to hurt her.
Even if it means she learns the truth.
Even if it means she never forgives me.
Because she was never meant to be mine. But that won’t stop me from taking her.

Four-time RITA finalist, Scarlett Cole, is a contemporary romantic suspense / contemporary romance author (represented by Louise Fury at The Bent Agency) who calls both Toronto, Canada and Manchester, England home. A born city dweller, she periodically quashes the urge to live in the country by hiking up a mountain to remind herself that living away from people would terrify the pants off her.

She believes everybody deserves their love story to be told and loves her heroes on the rough and rugged side…and usually tall (because she married one of those 6ft 6” men you read about in romance!). She’s an A-type personality and Scorpio star sign, so good luck getting her to do anything she doesn’t want to.

When she isn’t writing, she’s happy to talk hot men and expensive shoes while drinking a cold gin and tonic. Don’t bring up olives. As far as Scarlett is concerned, they are the devil’s food. As long as you don’t bring up olives, she’s happy to hear from any time.

A smoke jumper and baker who's past collided and ended in tragedy? I needed this like you wouldn't believe!

It's been years since Quinn’s family suffered one loss after the next. Nothing was ever the same after her older sister went missing and that created a domino effect within her loved ones. Now running the family owned bakery herself, Quinn is doing her best to survive the recent threats to some business owners as well as herself.

Left with no choice but to ask the one person that she deems responsible for her sister missing, she goes to the Road Captain of the Iron Outlaws MC for help. Quinn is about to learn a lot about self discovery, forbidden love and a danger that's lurking amongst the town.

Brotherhood has a deep meaning for smoke jumper “Smoke” and he's a fierce protector when it comes to his brothers. After suffering his own tragedy and getting injured, he decides that it's time to take a break from his other job and get back to the club. When Quinn shows up asking for help, he knows that nothing is ever going to be the same again.

The Fire We Crave had all the makings to be a scorching, painful angst filled read that was going to set ablaze the forbidden line that these two characters were going to cross. I was not a fan of the whole shocking wrench that was thrown into the story and I think it would've been better without it. While it didn't really live up to that, it was still a decent read and I'm really looking forward to reading the President's(Butcher's) book. That is going to be one messy read and I'm here for it!!

I enjoyed this one. It had some twists that I did not see coming and definitely left me feeling a certain way about a certain character...if you can't tell, I'm being vague on purpose 😂😅

Anyways I'm glad I continued the series, and I can't wait to read Butchers' book and see how Ember takes the news since they definitely have their issues.

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

The third book in the Iron Outlaws MC: Colorado series, and it’s Smoke’s turn to have his story told in an emotional and steamy age gap, enemies-to-lovers romance with a forbidden twist. It’s a great read that had me hooked from start to finish, and I loved it!

Smoke and Quinn met when she was 13 and he was 20 and dating her older sister. She idolised him until her sister went missing, and even though she had no proof, she blamed Smoke and the Iron Outlaws for her disappearance. Now, it’s 14 years later and she’s still full of anger, but when her bakery is targeted by the Bratva – enemies of the MC – she needs protection.

Smoke is a soke jumper. His recent mission turned to tragedy when members of his team were killed and he was burned, leaving him physically and emotionally scarred. He’s now out of hospital and back home with the Outlaws and he’s struggling to move on from his loss and find his place. The last thing he needs is Quinn all up in his business, but she needs protection and he needs help, so they come to a mutually beneficial arrangement where she will stay with him in his home (with a guard) and help him out around the house while he’s recovering from his injuries.

It's a great set-up that quickly builds excitement as we see and feel the attraction between Smoke and Quinn. They don’t want it, but they can’t ignore it, and the sense of building anticipation is fantastic!

“It’s killing me.”
“What is.”
“This. You and me. Shouldn’t even be saying you and me.”

They get to know each other, they open up to each other, and they start to understand each other. Smoke’s supportiveness and protectiveness over Quinn soothes her heart, and she accepts him for exactly who and what he is. And when Quinn really opens up, things get really interesting.

“I’m open to exploring the facets of myself I know exist but have never been tested.” I turn to face him. “I want a teacher, Smoke. Someone who already knows how to do the things I dream about.”

Smoke is a kinky bastard. He’s into pretty much anything and everything, and when Quinn expresses her desire to explore her kinky and submissive side, he knows he’s the man (Dom) for the job, especially because he’s halfway in love with her already. They get all kinds of dirty as they begin to explore all the things, and it only deeps their connection.

She’s the thing that’s been missing from my life.
Something I’ve never had with anyone else.
I want this expression of who we are together. That anything is possible between us, and that we both want it.

It’s a beautifully building love story because both Quinn and Smoke are so honest with each other. They don’t hold back their thoughts or their feelings, and I loved seeing them so vulnerable with each other, and so accepting of each other. Quinn openly declares that she wants all-consuming love. She wants a man who adores her, cares for her, and helps her discover who she is, and rather than scare Smoke off, it only draws him in closer. It’s so emotional watching them come together, and I loved their love story so much.

“I’m glad I was the only safe place you could think of running to. I’m glad you’re here, and I don’t want you to go.”

But while they’re falling in love, the Bratva’s campaign against the Iron Outlaws is escalating. The men and their families are in danger, and there’s action and excitement as all of that plays out, and the boys gear up to take down the bad guys.

The MC is a big part of the story, and we get to see a lot of the characters from the previous books in the series. Smoke and Atom are best friends, and their friendship is so fun – teasing yet deep when needed, and I loved seeing them together. The girls continue their book club, which is highly entertaining, and the themes of found family are explored really well. There’s a great lead-in to the next book of the series for MC President, Butcher, and I can’t wait to get my hands on that one!

I’m loving this series, and I loved this book and seeing Smoke and Quinn find their HEA.

4.5 stars.

Loved it

This is my first of the series and I had no problem following along. I'm super excited for the next one (Butcher) and would like to go back and read the others to get the background on some of the side characters that I really enjoyed in this book.

The premise of this book is great. It's a great way to get the forced proximity between these enemies to lovers (granted she's the one that's got strong hate for him, but he's pretty indifferent towards her). He's physically and emotionally scarred from a fire gone wrong and needs help around the house, she's being targeted by the Bratva.

The chemistry between these two is palpable. Quinn is inexperienced and Smoke is more than happy to step up and be her "teacher." The best part? Most of this all happens after they start to open up to each other and have gotten to know each other as adults. I'm not a fan of instalove/lust, so I was appreciative of this part.

MC stuff ensues, the past comes a knocking, kink gets unlocked, secrets are shared, the found family gets stronger, and love wins in the end.

Review
The balance between the drama and romance with bouts of small action was pretty solid in this MC drama (especially the first half). A very interesting dynamic with Smoke and Quinn. They have a bit of a complicated history with him having been her older sisters Boyfriend. Her sister disappeared and Quinn was mad at him for not protecting her. He was mad at himself and years later Quinn is living at his place when he's off smoke jumping and becomes a helpful roommate when he comes back after being wounded. Reluctant Roommates, each with baggage and trauma, they begin to soften to the other.

He truly wants to protect her, on some level because he wasn't able to protect her sister and the friends he lost in a fire. Quinn was attacked by an extortionate local Bratva recently so she too is jumpy and scared at times.

Though I'm not into dom/sub (honestly i skim those parts), I appreciate the honesty that they talk through it, give consent etc. So, I feel it's handled very well here and respect it for what it is to others and the characters. Smoke is very clear and she wants to be told what to do (he's honest about having lots of partners and exhibitionism). She wants to explore her adventurous side with him. This is one aspect into which they bond, they become partners, freeing.

It's the emotional stuff that hooks me (it felt more spice focused later when i preferred the first half). I liked that we get moments of their pain, comfort and wanting to talk about what's going on with them and not just all spice and lust. He can be a bit broody and reluctant, as his experience was especially horrific and that made this feel more real. It's hard for him to give in, to show weakness, but Quinn helps him heal and overcome.

A very good MC Romance, but more so if you're into spicier moments/dynamics (theres a lot of them and it becomes more focused on this in the 2nd half), then definitely give this a read.

There’s something about the Iron Outlaws that keeps me reading throughout the night.

I think this series is getting better and better. I adored Atom, but I loved Smoke just as much.

Smoke and Quinn share a history and not in the romantic way. He was her sister’s boyfriend when Melody went missing. There is no way that they could ever get together, what would Melody think?

Both Smoke and Quinn have demons they are battling on their own. While she finds solace in his home and around him, he has the need to protect her at all costs. He fights these sudden feelings that are building, but thinking about and having Quinn around is the only thing that keeps him from remembering his last smoke jump and the disaster that came with it. When trouble comes to Quinn’s door, Smoke seeks the help of his brotherhood to protect his girl. There’s ribbing from his brothers about him locking up his feelings for Quinn.

The Outlaws fight off the Bratva trying to take over their territory, by harassing the vulnerable - women and elderly owned businesses. Smoke and the brothers do everything in their power to keep the Bratva at bay and let them know who’s territory they’re invading.

TW: violence, depression, fetish, Dom/sub to name a few, check the TW page before reading.

If you love MC romances, with the right amount of suspense, romance, kink and watching tough guys fall to their knees for their women, then this is the book for you.

I can’t wait for Butcher’s story, it’s going to be a blast for sure.

I gave Quinn and Smoke 4.5🦋

Book Review | The Fire We Crave by S. Cole
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 blazing stars)

Another masterpiece in MC romance from S. Cole, an author who consistently delivers unputdownable, emotionally charged stories that hit you right in the heart.

The Fire We Crave is Book 3 in the Iron Outlaws MC: Colorado Chapter—and Smoke and Quinn’s story is nothing short of extraordinary. It delivers everything I crave in an MC romance: edge-of-your-seat danger, raw passion, a deeply emotional past, and explosive chemistry that never lets up.

Their history is gut-wrenching—Quinn was just 13 when Smoke, then nearly 21, was her sister’s boyfriend. Fourteen years later, their paths cross again when Smoke, now a fire jumper, returns home early from fire season. Quinn needs his help. And the more time they spend together, the more the slow burn between them turns into a full-blown inferno.

This book is grumpy/sunshine, enemies-to-lovers, second-chance, small-town suspense, and MC romance all rolled into one electrifying ride. And let’s talk about Smoke—gruff, broody, loyal, protective to the bone. He’s not about soft romance—he’s about intense, heat-fueled devotion that scorches the pages. Every glance, every touch between him and Quinn is loaded with emotion, history, and heat.

S. Cole delivers again with a story that’s both heartbreakingly tender and intensely hot. The tension is palpable, the stakes are high, and the chemistry? Off. The. Charts. The Fire We Crave will set your Kindle alight—and leave you desperate for more Iron Outlaws.

If you love your MC romances with danger, depth, and a hero who’ll burn the world down for his girl, this is your next obsession.

Rating: 4.5 ⭐️/2 🌶️

I really enjoyed Smoke and Quinn’s story! Smoke’s inner battle was written so well—it made him feel so much more real and layered, especially compared to the carefree, playboy version of him we saw in the earlier books. Watching him struggle and grow gave his character so much more depth.🙌🏼

And Quinn? I adored her. The way she showed up for Smoke, even when he couldn’t quite figure things out for himself, was everything. She was strong, patient, and exactly what he needed—without ever losing herself in the process.💕

The writing was fantastic, and the spice? Whew. 🔥 The little D/s moments sprinkled throughout were such a nice touch—they fit the characters and their connection perfectly without feeling forced.

Beyond just their romance, the larger story is getting really interesting.👀 I’m so curious to see how they’re going to handle the Bratva situation going forward. And I’m extra excited because the next book is finally about the character I’ve been waiting for the most. I seriously cannot wait!🤗

Absolutely Fantastic!!

Wow!! This author always kills it with her books and I should know since I’ve been reading her books for years. This story just tore my heart out and then pieced everything back together.

Smoke who is the road captain for the Iron Outlaws MC and is also a fire jumper who just returned home again when someone from his past shows up at his door looking for protection. Quinn blamed him years ago about her sister’s disappearance since he was her sister’s boyfriend back then but now is looking at him to keep her from harm.

This book had it all from steam to suspense and so much more. The emotional rollercoaster ride kept me turning pages as fast as I could. This is definitely must read that I highly recommend.

“i love you. and it really is as simple as that.”

this is one of my favorite books in the iron outlaws universe, og mother chapter included. i love how many different chapters and nomads were introduced, it elevated an already really well done plot to begin with (i’m particularly invested and curious about both jackal and zimmer). but the love story was the absolute star of this book, the mystery it was embed with added a deliciously forbidden element to these two scorching chemistry. and the gag of that plot twist when everything was said and done, i was completely blindsided in the best and worst of ways. i think smoke and nero would have a really good dynamic, both haunted men in different ways, no wonder i am biased when it comes to them.

First off I want to say I loved the NYC outlaws, but this new series just doesn't hit right. The nyc were full of characters I loved and full of storylines and details. I think new set of outlaws just isn't as good. This latest book could have been brilliant. I thought the MC plot was thin at best, the male character wasn't so likeable. The link could have been way kinkier. I feel the whole series so far just hasn't been great, they're ok but obviously readers are going to compare to the previous series and there's just no comparison. I have very high hopes for butcher's book.

Scarlett Cole delivered a forced proximity, forbidden romance that was both emotional and full of spice. This story follows Ronan Callahan, aka Smoke, a smoke jumper and road captain for the Iron Outlaws motrocycle club, and Quinn Moran, Smoke's ex's sister and a bakery owner.

Quinn was such a sweetheart who put everyone else first. She was so fierce and had a whole lot of sass. I loved her quick wit when dealing with Smoke's broodiness. Smoke was so loyal, both to his mc brothers and fellow smoke jumpers. The guilt he carried pulled at my heartstrings, especially when he felt undeserving of the light that Quinn brought into his life.

The chemistry between Quinn and Smoke was explosive. I was captivated by Quinn's sexual awakening and how patient and eager Smoke was being part of it. It was steamy and so delicious.

The Fire We Crave was a captivating romance with plenty of steam and an edge of suspense that hooked from the first page.

*I received a free copy of The Fire We Crave. This has in no way influenced my voluntary review which is honest and unbiased.

Of course, I had already 'met' both Quinn and Smoke, and I was anticipating their full story - grump, gumption and all. And my gosh, did I get a good story! Smoke had to go through something horrific before he was able to come back from fighting fires from the air, and he felt himself slipping, but he had no idea how to climb back out and reclaim his life, his passions and his peace.

Quinn had her own demons to deal with, but being with Smoke helped her feel calmer. And of course, him wanting to / maybe needing to keep her made things interesting in all ways ;)

I swear if I had to read one more line about consent I thought I’d lose my mind. I’m 100% on board with consent. I believe it’s important but good lord enough talk about it. I’m reading a MC book because I want to read the smut the wild and crazy. For a book that was about two people that didn’t like vanilla and talked about kink and dom/sub honestly there wasn’t much spice to those books. 3.5⭐️ at the most. The part about the sister and how she came back didn’t fit. Just wasn’t a huge fan of this story. I’ve lived all the others in these series but this one fell flat.

This was my favourite in the series! I love how Scarlett doesn't impose it on all her characters for their HEA to include children. They are diverse, they want different things. As someone who doesn't want children, I rarely see this in a romance book.

I loved Smoke so much, after he got over himself and actually listened to Quinn, he became my favourite hero in this series so far. And I really enjoyed Quinn, she was so lovely a d had to be so strong from the start... I just think they are perfect for each other.

Thanks for the amazing book Scarlett, and keep them coming!

4.25stars-THE FIRE WE CRAVE is the third instalment in S. Cole’s contemporary, adult IRON OUTLAWS MC: COLORADO dark, erotic, MC, romance series. This is thirty-five yaer old, fire jumper/firefighter/road captain Ronan ‘Smoke’ Callahan, and twenty-seven year old baker Quinn’s story line. THE FIRE WE CRAVE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Smoke and Quinn) THE FIRE WE CRAVE follows in the wake of Smoke’s return home, having lost his fire jumping crew to the fires, leaving our hero a scarred and damaged shell of his former self but while away on assignment, his ex-girlfriend Melody’s sister Quinn has moved into Smoke’s apartment in the face of threats by the Zakharov Bratva, threats that continue to target the Iron Outlaws MC.

Meanwhile, Smoke and Quinn continue to struggle with the disappearance of Quinn’s older sister Melody, fourteen years earlier. Quinn has always blamed Smoke for Melody’s disappearance, having had to shoulder the burden of loss when her family walked out.

The world building follows several paths including Smoke’s recovery both mentally and physically, as he struggles with the grief and guilt of the lone survivor. Smoke’s return comes with memories of the past for our story line heroine who continues to blame Smoke for everything that happened, and now with the Bratva threatening the lives of anyone connected to the MC, Smoke becomes guardian and protector of the woman to whom he will lose his heart.

The relationship between Smoke and Quinn is tempestuous at best in the face of perceived betrayal and loss. Quinn, and many people in the small Colorado town continue to blame Smoke for Melody’s disappearance but there is only one person who knows the truth, and she remains missing and lost. Smoke is determined to push Quinn out of his life but our heroine finds herself in a precarious position with her own PTSD having suffered at the hands of the Zakharov Bratva. The $ex scenes are erotic and provocative with some light Dom/sub scenarios.
There is another large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and dynamic secondary and supporting characters including Ember’s father and club president Butcher; VP Grudge, William ‘Taco’ Bell, treasurer Catfish Dice, Dawn, SAA Wraith and Raven, Enforcer Atom and Ember, as well as the introduction of Dr. Greer Hanson, and several member of the Zakharov Bratva who are taking aim at the Iron Outlaws MC, starting with the most vulnerable and unprotected.

THE FIRE WE CRAVE is a story of dysfunctional family dynamics, betrayal and vengeance, loss and grief, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is emotional and heart breaking; the romance is captivating and fated; the characters are broken but determined and lively.

Let’s fucking gooooooo!!!

This book was incredible. It had the perfect pacing, the back and forth, strong characters, and a great plot.

Quinn has my heart, she carried her grief and her heart on her sleeve. She was so brave, and that traumatic event would have fucked up the strongest person ever, but she had to carry on. Moving to Smoke's house was the best decision at the time...and as time proved, the best decision ever. Her relationship with her dad, her dealing with the bakery, how she wanted her own independence from being the 'one left behind' as a marker for her sister, and how she opened up to Smoke and dealt with his troubles too, was perfectly portrayed, and I loved her to pieces. She was a badass calling Smoke's bullshit to his face. I wanted her to also leave, so he felt extra shitty and he had to do some grovel, but I liked how it developed ether way. Not even when I wanted something different did I feel like I disliked her. I don't know how Scarlett did it, but it was perfect.

And Smoke 'Ronan'...my man, my man, my maaaan. This freaky, guarded, and hurt mf had me in love with him from jump. I love me an injured and caring dynamic, idk. That and a 'you are my anchor' moment. Ugh yes. I was all in for him to work out his shit so that both of them could be happy with the other, so that both could have that special person to lean on during the storm and to cherish during the sun. And his mouth...yeah, good lord. I loved him, BAD.

'Fuck it' moments are the best and I’ll die on that hill. I was screaming and giggling with those banter and teasing moments.

Also, maybe this is on me because I can't forgive and forget the hurt, so fuck redemption, sorry but I’d let that person rot…and still, couldn't get mad at Quinn lol.

Never read a foot fetish trope ever, so this one was new…and different, but not bad at all. Can’t say it’s a newfound kink, but not too bad either.

Thank you, TAA and Scarlett, for the e-arc!

Quotes:

Between us are eight years in age, thirteen inches in height, and my sister's disappearance. And yet, this is the safest I've felt since the day of the break in.

"You wearing panties beneath that dress?"
"You're too drunk to be asking me that question.

Nothing could feel better.
Except maybe the sight of Quinn Moran on her knees next to me.

Fuck me, I'm screwed.

Give me a bike, well-worn denim, and the pride of wearing my cut any day of the week.

"The only person I see is you."

Ronan, would you let me...worship your cock tonight?"

"Look at you, sucking on my dick, taking me like a good girl."

"I knew you'd come."
"I'll come for you a million times over. Always will."

And if you remove the fact it was taken by some obsessive Bratva fuck, it's a great photo.

But I'll keep this moment in mind and find a way home to her, whatever it takes.

But today, I feel the tether to Quinn as surely as though there were a strand of elastic holding us together, pulling me back to her.

"You, Quinn. It's always been you."

Quinn is recovering from the emotional and psychological trauma of being tied up and threatened by the Bratva. She no longer feels safe sleeping in the apartment above her business, and she's asked to temporarily stay in Storm's house while he's out fighting fires. She isn't expecting to be terrified to return home, and Storm definitely isn't expecting to find her half moved into his place when he recovers from a forest fire gone bad. Quinn offers to take care of his home while he recovers, if only to give herself more time to process her fears. The only problem is that there's something sweet and domestic about the whole situation that's twisting the tentative friendship they've developed.

*****

This is the first book I've read by Scarlett Cole and I'm obsessed. I wasn't expecting her characters to be so incredibly genuine and developed to this extent, when I usually find MC romances to be lighter emotionally. We instead get to see Storm's fears and trauma's as he relives the worst day of his life. Him and Quinn develop an honesty that rivals any I've seen as they work together to push off their own reactions to fight and run, and to develop a foundation of trust and caring that they both need. Her concern about his consent while he's working through trauma, her explanation of what she finds healing in dark romance, and the genuine frank discussions they had were everything.

Quinn is a woman who's lived her entire life on hold for her missing sister to return, and is deeply lonely being assigned a placeholder for her families wishes. Storm sees that and her need for praise, touch, and affection, and instead of manipulating it out of her, he uplifts her. He slowly helps her embrace her needs while also giving her a safe spot to land, despite his own fears surrounding mental health, and the danger of his lifestyle both in firefighting and being in the MC. Together they slowly accept that they fit, as the turmoil of the circling Bratva and Storm's mental struggles pull at the threads they try to weave.

This was such a fantastic novel, and I can't wait to go and read her entire back catalogue.

I was not prepared – at all. Smoke is just …mmm… I’m beginning to question myself!
The Fire We Crave is the third book in the Iron Outlaws, Colorado MC series. Smoke is the road captain and a smoke jumper/fire fighter. He lives off adrenaline and his job and club give that to him. Smoke is all in with who he is and what he likes living his life as he sees fit with no plans to settle down at all.
Quinn is the local baker and shares a painful past with Smoke. She blames Smoke for her big sister’s disappearance when she was a kid. After the disappearance, her family crashes in an ugly way, making her responsible for the bakery and being there if her sister ever returns. Quinn is stuck living a life she never wanted but didn’t want to let her family or sister down.
Now, Quinn is older, running the bakery and lately threatened by The Bratva. The club has put her in Smoke’s home for safekeeping while he is away smoke jumping. When he returns, he has experienced a tragedy that is mentally haunting and physically painful. What he did not expect was Quinn to still be there and asking him to stay.
Everything after this point is a lesson in assumptions, loyalty, and trust. It’s not an easy road by any means and you will be emotionally strung out, but it will be worth it. Smoke has become a favorite, and it won’t take you long to figure out why!!
I must stop her because there is so much going on anything more will spoil it all. You will absolutely root for them and wish death upon others for the way the treat her. These two are perfect for each other. Smoke is just so good with her, and Quinn is the calm support he needs.
Scarlett, my hats off to you with the way you mastered this book and its “details.” Your writing draws so many reactions out of me. As always, writing is exceptional, and the characters are solid. If you have not read the previous two books, I suggest you do. It isn’t necessary but it does give you more information about the running storyline and characters for a more enjoyable read.
Well... hell, Butcher. Roll on!!!

**Smoke Jumper and Baker**

*The Fire We Crave* is the third book in the Iron Outlaws MC: Colorado Chapter series, and I can’t wait to tell you all about it! The journey of Smoke and Quinn toward their happy ever after (HEA) is filled with challenges, starting with the emotional weight of Quinn’s sister's disappearance years ago. At the time, Quinn’s sister was dating Smoke, and he was the last person to see her before she vanished.

Fast forward fourteen years, and Quinn is now running her family’s bakery. She’s been putting her life on hold, just in case her sister ever returns. After some scary attacks on local businesses, she doesn’t feel safe in her apartment anymore. Luckily, Smoke offers her a place to stay until he comes back home. But here’s the twist—Smoke is coming home early, and he’s injured from fire season. Quinn, still feeling anxious about going home, agrees to be roommates since Smoke needs help taking care of his injuries.

Despite trying to keep things platonic, the chemistry between them is off the charts! And when the bakery faces another attack, Smoke’s protective instincts really kick in—he’s determined to keep Quinn safe at all costs.

What I love about this book is how charmingly the author crafts the characters. You’ll find yourself falling for Quinn and Smoke as they navigate their emotional rollercoaster filled with tension, support, and lots of heart. The slow burn of their relationship leads to some steamy moments that you won’t want to miss. The pacing is fast and engaging, keeping you on the edge of your seat from the very first page, with surprises that will have you reading late into the night!

The bond among the brothers in the MC is also a highlight—it's all about found family and supporting each other through tough times. I’m so excited for Butcher’s book, which is up next in the series. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did, and until next time, happy reading!

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Quinn Moran is a 27yr old baker in a small town. Her sister Melody was a few years older, and disappeared 14 yrs ago. Vanished, no reason as to where she went or if she was kidnapped. Melanie and Smoked were dating before she left. Quinn never got over her sister disappearing. She always felt that something bad happened and she has always blamed herself, always kept herself hidden from people.

Smoke (Ronan) Callahan is 8 yrs older than Quinn. When they were younger that 8 yr difference felt like a lifetime of difference. Now that they are in their 20's / 30's its not such a big difference. Smoke is now the road captain with the Iron Outlaws motorcycle club.

Quinn's shop is broken into twice. Quinn doesn't feel comfortable staying in the apartment above the bakery now. She does to the Iron Outlaws, and Smoke says she can stay at his place until they figure out who is behind the string of burglaries and threats in the town. Quinn and Smoke have a hate relationship. Ever since her sister broke up with him, Quinn hasn't liked Smoke. As she's gotten older, Smoke has kept a watch on her. He's watched her grow into her own person, not someone who was in Melody's shadow. Now that they are living together Quinn is letting her wall down showing her feelings for Smoke. She's also showing all her romance reading that she wants Smoke to guide her on. She wants Smoke to teach her in the bedroom ways. Smoke has such a guard around his heart, he just knows to push people away. His answer to getting close to Quinn is to tell her about all the club girls he could get with. Quinn is really good with knowing that Smoke is just pushing her away, she knows how to handle him and handle tougher situations.

Will Quinn and Smoke be able to have a relationship/romance? Will Smoke be able to turn his demons off and be there for Quinn?

I did receive a free ARC Book copy of this book. I am freely leaving a honest review.

Quinn has her hands deep in dough as she looks at the picture hung on the bakery wall in honor of her family taken twenty years ago. She is seven years old in the picture and looks bored. Her mother and sister are grinning. Her father and brother were grimacing.

But that was twenty years ago, before her sister was kidnapped from her bedroom when she was eighteen. Now her brother was in Dubai and they rarely spoke. Her parents couldn't handle the grief and ended up divorcing. Both acted as if Melody had been their only child. Then, on Quinn's nineteenth birthday, her mother committed suicide.

Now Quinn is the one taking care of the bakery. The only one who stayed in case Melody wasn't dead and returned. Her father and brother left everything on her shoulders as their lives moved forward. Running the bakery had never been her dream, but she was still hoping that even after fourteen years, a miracle would happen and her sister would show up at the bakery door.

But now the Russians are threatening the businesses downtown and the only place that she feels safe staying is with the man who was thought to have something to do with the disappearance of her sister.

I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Although this book has its own HEA the books in this series are intended to be read in order as the characters are recurring and the underlying storyline continues throughout the series.

Smoke gets his road name form the Iron Outlaws MC from being a smoke jumper outside his life as a biker. But after the last devastating fire he returned home to heal and reflect on his future only to find out that his home has an uninvited guest.

This book is action-packed, full of danger and smoking hot. This book is full of angst, explosive chemistry and S Cole has a few surprising twists to this story.

If you love dark MC romance, you will love this series! Highly recommend!

Get ready for the flames🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

The Fire We Crave is book 3 in the Iron Outlaws Colorado Chapter. It is fast, furious and explosive in its ability to suck you into the story and turn you inside out!!

Smoke, Road Captain to the Iron Outlaws, Firefighter and Smoke Jumper (I mean could the man have hotter jobs I mean really!!), has just been left devastated. An unpredictable fire, losing most of his team and left severely scarred and not just on his skin. His head is seriously messed up – so when he returns home to Colorado and the ongoing war between the MC and the Bratva, Smoke is unprepared for the spitfire still living in his home to be there to greet him.

After her run in with the Bratva, Quin Moran is hiding out in Smoke’s house. There she feels safe, able to work through her horror but there is one huge problem, Smoke used to date her sister, who has been missing for 14 years. She is now going to have to share his space – the tall, dark, brooding, uber sexy damaged biker. Even with her sister’s disappearance between then Quinn cannot help but feel a fire in her belly that is stoked by the man.

Their proximity is forcing them to confront the past – it is also forging a connection that is just too strong to ignore. Like accelerant poured into a flame their undeniable chemistry is just bursting to get to consume them. It is dangerous, it is all consuming and so very raw.

Quinn wants a romance hero, Smoke thinks he is anything but!! His time spent with her is showing him that maybe his life before the fire is not going to be enough anymore. The draw to her is immense and trying to ignore it is slowly torturing him. Quinn is hoping that Smoke will be the man to help awaken all her deep, dark fantasies.

Hold on tight it is going to be a wild ride, with plenty of twist that could throw you off balance and a reckoning for the Iron Outlaws!!!!🔥💋❤️
