Cally Evans loves to write books that capture the same vibes as your favorite early 2000’s romcoms. She currently lives in rural Illinois with her husband and two young children. When she isn’t writing you can find her reading a spooky novel, trying a new crochet pattern, baking cookies, or watching Twilight for the 1000th time.

Just freakin’ read it already!!! I was blessed with the opportunity to be an ARC recipient for Miss Cally. I promised my honest review, so here it is.
I want to see this book as a movie! I could so effortlessly picture the characters and the journey they went on together. At first I thought maybe everything would just be cliche, and then I got hooked on the development of it all. I love the steps the main characters took to become more THEM instead of the only thing focused on being how they feel about each other. It’s such an easy read and it had me kicking my feet and giggling like I’m reading messages from my BFF. Speaking of BFF’s Hallie is a 5 star friend - she lets Juliette feel her feelings but also tells her to pull her life together!!!! Hallie deserves her own book (wink wink) I found myself slipping away from my kids just to read a little bit at a time. I’m very impressed with her debut novel and I’m definitely on board for whatever she brings to life next.
~Arc Review ~ First off thank you so much for this arc, this was such a fun read! This was a 5 star read for me, I absolutely loved this book!! I was intrigued from the second I read the plot description. I love a good fake dating/marriage trope, especially when it’s to a rockstar after a wild night in Vegas 👀 This definitely gave major early 2000s romcom movie vibes which I LOVE 💕 This book had me giggling out loud, literally, within the first few pages because the humor was that good. Juliette & Brandon (Jax) were so cute and such well written characters! This had the perfect amount of slow burn, will they won’t they tension that I love! And for not having any explicitly spicy scenes this book still brought some heat! I definitely recommend reading this next if you’re looking for a fun & flirty romcom! And I look forward to reading future releases from Cally!
YES. If you’re reading this review, wondering whether or not you want to read this, here’s your answer. YESSSS. A perfect, slow burn, no spice but a perfect amount of heat. The humor keeps even tough topics light, making this read relatable and genuinely fun. Juliette is one of my favorite characters I’ve ever read. I absolutely adore her personality and feel like she and Brandon were so fully formed as characters. If you love romance books with a summer vibe, fake married, strangers to friends (their bonding omg 😭) to lovers (that friend to love move is soooooo satisfying). Did I want to scream at some almost kiss interruptions? 😅 of course. But when I tell you IT WAS WORTH IT 😍😍😍 I’d give this 10 stars if I could.
I read this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review:
Omg! I loved this book so much! Thank you for sharing this book with me! I loved the tension and banter between Juliette and Brandon “Jax”. There were moments where I cried, have my feet kicking and giggling like a girl! Hallie is my favorite because some moments going through Juliette’s mind 😤I wanted to throw a pillow at her too 🤣 I’m so glad with how it ended and I can’t wait to get my hands on this book so I can highlight my favorite parts! Ugh I wish there was a real recording for the song “Endlessly” cuz I’d play that over and over again lol

This isn’t my usual genre, but it was a lot of fun! Caught my attention from the start and kept it the whole way through (minus a minor lull at one point). All of the side characters are so lovable, and I really did find myself rooting for the couple pretty early on! I would definitely recommend it to anyone else who is just getting started with the genre. Also, before anyone asks: There is NO spice, but there is tension!
The Vegas Contract was my top favorite book of the year so far!! I went in blind not knowing what it was about and was not disappointed!! I loved the friendship between Juliette and her best friend Hallie. Hallie is quite the character, loved her! Brandon is the ultimate book boyfriend. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for something cute, funny, fun and full of a sweet romance!!
I LOVED THE VEGAS CONTRACT! ♠️ It had the perfect amount of banter and fun/funny references. I loved the different POV’s and being able to see into each persons thoughts. PS- If you wear leather loafers, get rid of them now!!! 🤣
My new favorite romcom. I laughed, I cried, I fell in love with Juliette and Brandon. Such good writing and detail. I felt like I was right there with the characters. Can’t wait to read more of Cally’s work!
Reading physical books is literally impossible to do in less than 3 months as a mom with a full time job. Read this in less than a month and truly enjoyed every second of it. This has been my pool side read and it’s been funny and romantic and REALISTIC.
This book had me laughing, crying, and wanting to yell at the characters. I was hooked from the very first chapter and could not put it down. It is absolutely a must read!
