From the author of the Terminate the Other World! The dungeon-core adventures of a young man and his ever-expanding, ever-loyal hive continue!
Not long ago, all Belissar wanted was to be left in peace to tend his apiaries. But that ended when Ruckanos, the brutish son of the local lord, slaughtered his village to make way for his new tower. Rescued by a bee—who happened to be a core—the one-time beekeeper then became king of his own bee realm.
Belissar quickly learned how to thrive not only as a leader but as a fighter, using his winged minions to battle the dreaded Hunger that threatens all life. Now, aided by the mystical bear folk who share their knowledge and wisdom with him, he must continue to grow.
Because his bees are no longer simple servants; they’re advancing on their own as a fighting force as well as individuals as they battle the Hunger in all its forms. And they live only for Belissar’s blessings and glory. Now that’s some serious power.
But Belissar will have to harness that power if he’s ever to control his tower—and soon. Humiliated and sent on a suicide mission, Ruckanos is determined to hunt down Belissar and his beloved bees and reclaim all he lost . . .
The second volume of the hit LitRPG fantasy series—with more than four million views on Royal Road—now available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook!
Gosh so much happens in this rip-roaring book! And I loved every mesmerizing! Not only did Belissar and Niobee get stronger the Tower got stronger too. I seriously wanna shout out "For the Colony!" but that's Anthony's and his sisters shtick in Chrysalis! For Belissar it's gotta Bee, Don't Hurt Bee's! Or more likely "King! Best! King!" And with the advent of the tribe of bear folk or Karnuq's, Belissar has'ta figure out where to safely house them! To do that he and the Bees hafta make the dungeon stronger increasing it's size by adding more levels and rooms! Fighting the ever evolving Hunger! Also remember that pesky Tower Lord, you know the one who burned Belissar village and killed the useless peasants! Well he's set his sites on Belissar next! Planning to take the Tower for himself! So yeah AwesomeSauce, go ahead and grab the book or audiobook if you prefer, to find out what happens when the God of Fire wants to Bee-come a Patron!
Although I actually have a severe phobia(and a minor allergy )of bees, wasps, hornets, ect.(Childhood trauma from falling in way too many nests and what I remember as millions of stings) This series looked too interesting to pass up. I'm so glad I took a chance! These books are so very entertaining! I absolutely love the concept, and never thought I would get emotionally attached to bees! I do have great respect for pollinators though, despite being terrified of them. I am really enjoying watching the MCs character growth, as well as the progress in his dungeon. I hope the next book comes out soon, as I devoured the first two in less than two days! Highly recommend!
Im becoming more invested in this story as I see Belissar's growth. He's become a little more confident as a dungeon master, but I wish he hadn't started asking the karnuq's opinion on his reward options. Asking what they need is different than asking their opinion; they're literally servants and totally different than the bees. Im definitely ready and waiting for the next book in this series.
If this series were optioned to be made into movies, I'd watch it just for the battles. The plot is taking an interesting direction and looks to become somewhat more violent in the next volumes as an old adversary locates Bellisar's Tower.
An excellent read for fans of the Fantasy genre, as the LitRPG elements are sparse and short on the statistics which some find distracting.
Like the first book this is a 3.5 stars but not quite enough to reach 4. While the MC has grown on me compared to the first book, his lack of insight (even basic forward planning) and his ongoing fear of everything not Bees has not improved much from the first book. What has really helped the story is the introduction of relatively interesting secondary characters who I look forward to seeing grow and improve.
A fun continuation of the series that fitted expectations: entertaining characters (especially the bees), a somewhat originally and well crafted world and some dungeon building as well. Sure, it is slow paced, mostly a cosy slice-of-life with a few moments of action, but that is a feature and not a bug.
This is such a good book! I love bees, and as a new-bee to litRPG, this is such a good combo of story and mechanics. I’ve loved getting to know all the characters, and the bees have really started showing their individual personalities and strengths now! I can’t wait for the next book!!
The Bee Dungeon continues to be a fun read. The tower defense mechanics with a light hearted concept works really well. The bees have also developed into fun characters all their own too. The series is worth reading if you like the general genre.
The dungeon and characters grow. The el world expands. New threats draw closer. A fun installment in the series. The pacing is fast, the story light and clear, and the world fascinating. Please enjoy
A 16 hr audio book. From start to finish, its a bit of a slow but amazing LitRPG story. I find the unique blend of characters and creatures odd and fun to hear about. Overall, 10/10 and looking forward to the next book.
Um, yes, I think? Um, I don't know? Um, what? Um UM UMMMmm
Oh god, the main characters is such a loser. Like holy shit, he's hard to take.
I think the author thinks that the only readers of these books are all autistic, with social anxiety disorder, and semi-retarded. That is why the MC needs to also be these things. I'm finding it really hard to read the chapters that are written from his point of view. Luckily many chapters are not from his point of view.
