This was absolutely a great book. It was a fantastic page turner and the suspense was OH WOW. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t put it down. Who would ever thought of time traveling would be mysteriously and fun with a a twist of wild magical. I highly recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed. This mission is to thwart the assassination of Fatia Al Fihri, adventure, suspense, drama, shadows of uncertainty, new allies that arise because they are united by a common purpose, dangers of Ayerd, fate, secrets of 'The Other Realm', and more. To find out what happens and if the mission gets completed, I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate his readers' hearts and attention with heart pounding suspense that is sure to transport readers into a world that is exhilarating with dark magic and unforgettable.

When you pair a strong sense of justice, equality and a thirst of knowledge with courage, persistence and humility it gives you Ryan; a man on a mission through time to stop the assassination of a family member -who is said to have founded the first university - by a man who feels wronged by loss and blames science. Ryan learns rather quickly that there is so much more going on and his part in all this is greater than he ever expected, but he will let nothing and no one get in his way! This book is a beautiful intricacy of sci-fi and fantasy with lush, historical fiction woven throughout. Vivid world-building and characters you can connect with on a deeper level. It features a single pov, a smidge of slow-burn clean romance, references to Muslim religion, time travel and action. This is a book I won't forget, and look forward to more from this author!

I really enjoyed this story! The plot had me gripped from the very beginning and wanting to know more! I found some of the style of writing to be a little hard to read, but overall the characters and plot were super interesting and the book was a very enjoyable read!

Did I enjoy this book? Absolutely.
Would I revisit its pages? Without a doubt.
From the outset, this book ensnared my attention, making it impossible to set aside. The first-person narrative was not just engaging; it was immersive. The storyline stands out for its originality, notably for its spotlight on the pivotal role of women throughout human history. A significant portion of the tale unfolds in the ninth century, where the characters of Fatima and Meryem, the Fihri sisters, captivated me with their impact on our world.

The creation of Ayred was spellbinding—a realm veiled from our historical records, featuring a magical library where Ryan uncovers the secrets of this hidden world. The portrayal of Fez, a tangible city brought to life in a vivid, almost mythical manner, was done so adeptly, appealing to readers without the need for extensive historical knowledge.

This aspect was particularly stellar. The characters, from the relatable hero Ryan to Magres, Ayour, Maya, Aghilas, Selina, and the antagonist, the red-haired Whisperer Mira, were all intricately crafted and thoroughly engaging.

This is my first book by the author and I was not disappointed. I was going it to give it a 4-4.5 star but that would not reflect what I really thought of the story which I think is worth more.
If you are looking for a mind-binding time-travel historical fiction with strong MMC and FMC characters prepare yourself to be blown away.
The opening chapter was like damn what did I just read?!! The book started slow and in my opinion too much musing and dissecting thoughts in the beginning slowing down the otherwise action-packed and eventful world-building. The language is beautiful and almost poetic at some points and flowing easily throughout the entire book.
This is not my average fantasy/science-fiction book but I was happily surprised and I enjoyed it immensely. It gave me lots of food for thought which actual historical events weaved with fiction. This is a great book of magic, epic battles, swordsmanship, ferocious heroes and heroines as well as equines, courage, loyalty and bravery. It should be read at a slow pace otherwise you will miss out!

I never thought fantasy was my thing, but the more I read it, the more I appreciate this genre.
This is by far my favorite fantasy book for adults so far.
I love the concept and thought of time travelling, which this book is about, and being a history buff, I truly enjoyed the links to real history. I didn't know a lot of Moroccan history, which for me as a Norwegian is quite exotic, and this book made me thirsty for more.
You can tell the author has done his research when it comes to both history and warfare, and I truly appreciate the philosophical side of the book. It's obvious that the author himself does a lot of thinking, and that makes the book very interesting.
The book has a great story, the characters are really good, there's the perfect amount of romance, and my favorite; the female characters are as strong as the male characters (in some cases stronger). This isn't always the case in books, but that's another thing I truly appreciate about all of this author's books.
If you enjoy fantasy, science fiction, battle scenes, an exciting story or romance, you should read this book.

The first couple pages had me hooked and the plot was magnetic. You could tell how much thought and research went into this book and the details were impeccable! I enjoyed the pacing and how action packed it was with constant revelations and twists and turns. I also really liked the different characters and the whole timeline. By the end of the book was definitely left wanting more. My negative for this book was that the writing style/language used felt a little too formal. Almost as if I was reading a transcript of what was happening like a history book vs feeling like I was there going through this with the characters. As such, I had a harder time emotionally connecting to the characters. There were some amazing plot twist and moments that I loved but they didn’t leave me gasping or having my emotional response because I didn’t feel as connected to them. But that aside, it was a great start to the series and I was genuinely impressed by the intricacies of this story!

I was hooked from the very beginning, the fast pace, the world building ... full of suspence and page turning kind of book!
The historical and the religious elements were amazing, I love how the author make sure to bring up fatima el fehriya and the whole history of fez city !
I will vote for this novel as representing the Moroccan culture!
You will meet
Ryan, ayour, magres,selina , thier enemies, the war and finally lady Fatima and her sister..... !

It is a wonderful read and a fantastic example of world-building.
The characters are well-developed and interesting.
The story held my interest into the wee hours of the morning.
The main location of Ayred is so well-developed that it seems real.

This book captivated me from the start. The world-building is fantastically written and you just want to keep reading. I loved the characters as they made the book more interesting. I can only recommend the book.

I loved the historical fantasy element to this book, it had that element of history that I was looking for and wanted to read more in this universe. The characters were everything that I wanted and enjoyed the overall story with them. It was a strong start to the Other Realm series and left me wanting more.

الرواية ممتعة وتشد القارئ منذ البداية، خصوصًا بفكرتها التي تمزج بين الفانتازيا والسفر عبر الزمن. ما يميزها هو قوة حضور البطل منذ البداية والأجواء المشوقة التي تحافظ على اهتمام القارئ طوال الأحداث

أسلوب الكاتب بسيط وسلس، يعتمد على وصف واضح يسهّل تخيّل الأحداث، مع قدرة جيدة على خلق جو مشوق دون تعقيد.
