Este libro está destinado a un público muy específico: personas extranjeras que van a visitar o a vivir en Países Bajos, que acaban de estar en el país, o que simplemente quieren aprender un poco de la cultura holandesa de manera general. Si uno no entra en alguna de esas categorías, probablemente no lo disfrute mucho.

Habiendo dicho eso, si uno sí hace parte de ese público, se encontrará con que el libro cumple con lo que promete. Disfruté recordar cosas que vi en especial desde una perspectiva extranjera como la mía (porque sí que me sentí identificada con varios conceptos mencionados por la autora), y conocer detalles adicionales que no percibí mientras estuve allá.

Es un libro ligero, sencillo, actual (en algunos años tendrá capítulos que dejarán de ser vigentes), con humor, con ilustraciones muy lindas y que busca ser una guía para quienes quieren conocer un poco más del país sin profundizar mucho. Algunos capítulos son particularmente útiles para extranjeros que van a mudarse a Países Bajos.

Lo disfruté y me pareció un buen punto de partida para aprender sobre el país.

Leuk en luchtig boek over de Nederlandse cultuur, met hier en daar verrassende feitjes (zoals over de gevelbelasting of de drie kruizen van Amsterdam). Daarom ook leuk om te lezen of luisteren als je geen toerist bent/gewoon uit Nederland komt.

Tegelijk zaten er ook wel wat open deuren in, zoals "bedankt betekent dankjewel". Dat had van mij niet per se gehoeven.

Ook zou ik bij sommige letters toch andere woorden/begrippen hebben uitgekozen. Maar dat is persoonlijk.

Al met al een leuk boek om tussendoor te lezen en/of luisteren. De meeste hoofdstukken zijn met veel humor gebracht, waardoor het lekker luchtig blijft. En leuk dat ik iets geleerd heb over Nederland!
