Where to begin with this book, hmm Losing Levi is a book about Victoria and Levi finding their way to their in life when suddenly the rug is pulled out from under them. My first issue with this book is that its you know what's coming before it even happens, the synopsis gives it all away and if that isn’t enough then it happens again in the beginning of the book. While it could be an interesting story line its just sort of so so, its written from a few different perspectives and you kind of have to flip your brain back and forth. All and all I don’t think this will be a bad series but I hope that part 2 is better. It’s a quick read!
Ever read a book then read some reviews and wondered if you read the same book? Loosing Levi by Morgan Black (The first book in the Lost in Love series) was one of those books for me.
I didn't connect with this book at all. I found Victoria a bit selfish and unrealistic and as for Levi, who I think we are meant to think is mysterious comes across as a bit dense and doesn't take peoples feelings into consideration. Their love for each other does show through in this book, but it doesn't feel to me like they are a good match for each other and the only time they do is why they have sex, we all know you can't base a relationship on just that too.
I felt like I was waiting for something to happen throughout the book and in honesty when it did it felt so unrealistic and almost like 'Ideas had been ran out of so let's just do this at the end', it fell flat and I was left sitting there thinking, 'Is that it?'.
I just didn't get on with this book at all, I wanted to give up, I almost skimmed and after finishing and looking at the average ratings for this book wondered if I had somehow read something different to everyone else. Its not often I read a book and don't find anything nice to say about it, but Loosing Levi for me was one of those books and I won't be looking to read other books in the series.
