Hotter than Ghost Peppers!
This is the second book in the Blood Born series. It can still be read without reading Drawn by Dragonblood, but you may get a bit more out of the story by reading it first.
OMG! Get a mug of ice water and a fan before you start reading this story! It has a good story line, good characters and a little bit of twists along the way! What do you get when you have two Alpha males and a damaged female? A perfect mate group.
Dolyn is a pure blood dragon shifter, one of only two remaining. After a failed 50 year relationship, he is looking forward to finding his mates. The female mate of his former partner has the gift to be able to tell him about his fated mates. He always felt he was too Alpha to submit to his old partner. He knows who the female is, so he watches over, aka stalking, for a week before he shows himself to her. He is very racists against humans, they are too below him.
Ashley was raped when she was 16 and can't stand to be touched, sometimes even by herself. She has been in therapy for almost 10 years, and for the past six months, she has been seeing a sex therapist to help her. She has been having a feeling that someone is watching her on the way to work and on the way home. On this Friday, as she is killing time until her monthly appointment with the sex therapist, she sees a guy across the street just staring at her. She had just been thinking that she would like to see whoever it is that has been watching her. She never got any bad feelings about it, only that she felt safe. She likes what she see, but she can't see his eyes. During her therapy session with Master Valli, she breaks down some of her walls and wants to be touched by him for the first time. When Dolyn sees that, he punches Valli in the nose and wrestles with him away from Ashley.
Valli is a licenced psychologist who works with people with sexual issues. He owns and runs a club for people in the lifestyle too. He has been working with Ashley for six months and has only been allowed to touch her elbow because of her issues. Since he has met her, he can't be with anyone else. After meeting Dolyn and listening to the hubbub that he spouts about all of them being mates, even though he is the only pure blood and they only have a tiny amount of dragon blood, they are still mates and he is the Alpha. Valli is a Dom, he doesn't submit.
Doyln and Ashley get together, then he leaves her. Ashley and Valli get together and Doyln come back, then leaves again.

I could not put it down. I didn't think Lynn Burke could top the sensuality from the first book, but she did and in style! This book is about Dolyn, a dragonblood shifter, one of the two left in the world. He is arrogant and views human as an inferior race. Yet, his destined mates are none other than the tempting humans, Ashely and Vanni. Ashley is a distraught young lady and a rape survivor who is working on overcoming her traumas. Vanni is a Dom, and he aids Ashley during monthly sessions in dealing with her sexual fears/inhibitions. While Dolyn's attraction to his mates is undeniable, he fights the pull he has towards them, specially Vanni. As it turns out not only is Dolyn struggling with the inferior race issue but also with his dominance. He believes as the superior race, he should be the one calling all the shots. But Vanni, a Dom through and through, is determined to make Dolyn submit. It is a fight between fated mates to deny what is obvious; a destiny set in motion beyond their control.
I absolutely love how Lynn Burke threw the formula right into the spinner and set us up with a twisted version of the Alpha, Beta, Female trio. The heat between Ashley and Dolyn was wonderfully developed, with lots of love and trust. The fire between the males was exquisitely drawn out, making a climatic bonding scene. I cannot wait to sink my teeth into the next book!

Ashley’s past trauma is holding her back from love and relationships. She has needed to seek pleasure through pain and Master Vanni has helped for the past 9 years. Master Vanni wants Ashley with every part of him; she calls to his Dom side like no other. However, once Dolyn enters the picture, the outlook from all three changes. Will the Alpha Dragon Doyle submit under Master Vanni in order to accept his mates or is his pride too strong? This book has some great BDSM kink scenes and the pure passion that fated mates hold. Some interesting internal battles between the mates for an intriguing read. TW/18+ 4.25/stars

Oh My Word, This Book has absolutely taken me over. I devoured the book in one hour, it's so good. Lynn Burke have become one of my favorite authors, she has the ability to get you hooked on her stories and I love her for that, this is the second book in the series and it's getting better and hotter, this SERIES IS A MUST READ, it has everything, emotions, angst, heat. Now if they could change the ratings from 5 to 20 stars that would be AWESOME because this series definitely deserves that🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Destined by Dragon is an absolute gem of a story that took me through quite an emotional journey. The connection between Ashley, Vanni, and Dolyn was beautifully crafted and their bond felt well earned and authentic. All three of them had to face their own inner demons and emotional struggles both separately and together. What really touched me the most was thinking how hard it must have been for Dolyn to be raised as one thing, basically indoctrinated by his father, and believing for over 400 years that he knew who he was, and yet finding himself being something completely different. His struggle touched me the most. The character growth for all three of them was well developed and the spicy scenes were delicious.

This book was very good. I loved the characters and the story which flowed quite easily and it had lots of emotions and was very spicy. I am new to Lynne Burke but what I have read so far has exceeded my expectations and now I find myself eagerly awaiting her books. A wonderful MMF fated mates story that is really quite imaginative and pulls you in. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

This was a really good book. I didn’t read the first book in the series, and I had no problems following the story. The author did an amazing job with the writing. The characters were well developed and interesting, and I loved their interactions with each other. And there was loads of spice! I will definitely Italy be reading more of this series!!

This is a must read! It’s my first time reading this author and it shall not be the last. I obviously didn’t read the first book in this series and I was able to follow this storyline without any problems. This is an awesome plot and it has lots of very steamy scenes. The characters are so well thought out and written. The female, Ashley, has a lot of baggage from her past that she is working to overcome. Then there are two main male characters, both being alphas/doms. The author takes us through this story via all three points of view which is very helpful. Loved this book!

This was a really good MMF book! I knew it was the second book in the series but with a different set of characters, but I think it would have been even more enjoyable for me if I had a glimpse of Dolyn’s relationship with Elijah from the first book. Def plan to read book 1 now. This book was a good mix of plot and smut, however the MM portions were a little too light for my personal liking! That’s one of my favorite tropes and I was hoping there would be more of Dolyn and Vanni. Overall this is a 4/5 read for me since I flew through it in one sitting and would recommend it to others. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Ashley's story is traumatic. I am so glad she reached out to get help. Dolyn had issues with a capital "I". If he doesn't get past them, he could lose what fate chose for him. Vanni is a Dom/Alpha that both Ashley and Dolyn ache for. Can Vanni help Dolyn accept his conflicting roles? I really loved this book as a whole. I even enjoyed the dog! Just when I thought book 1 was hotter than hot, book 2 is even more hot. On to the next!

Holy Alpha/Beta Energy
The battle to submit and accept being a Beta is so intense, wondering who will come out on top. I loved & hated Dolyn with all his passion and his stubbornness. But man did the Alpha energy pull you in and bring you to your knees. I totally wanted to submit to the ALPHA!!!
What a great spin on shifter steamy romance. I love that as the book goes on you learn more of the story and history of the Dragonblood!!!

What's nice about this book is that it can be read without reading the first book Drawn by Dragonblood, but I can imagine that you would get more out of the story if you read the first book first.
I loved the storyline, the plot, and the subplots. Everything was well thought out and planned out. There were well-planned out twists and turns throughout the entire book, it was so enjoyable. I loved the way you put two Alpha's together with a very damaged female to get the absolutely perfect group.
Dolyn is one of the two remaining pure-blooded dragon shifters. He's just coming out of a 50-year failed relationship, and now he's focused on finding his fated mates. He can get some information about his fated mates through the female mate of his former partner, she has the gift to give him the information he seeks. Once he knows who his female mate is, he chooses to watch over her which is more like stalking her for a week before allowing himself to approach her and show himself to her. He's very biased against the human race feeling they are below him, his race, and his standing as a royal.
Ashley is a survivor of rape, she was only 16 when she suffered the abuse and as a result can no longer stand to be touched by anyone, at times, not even by herself. For the last 10 years, she has been in therapy, and for the last 6 months, she has been working with a sex therapist in an attempt to help her. Ashley has been getting the feeling for a while that while on her way to work and on her way home she has been followed and watched.
Friday, while she is wasting some time while waiting for her monthly appointment with her sex-therapist, she just happens to look up at catch a look at a guy standing across the street who is watching her. She had just been thinking that she would like to see whoever it was that was following her and watching her all the time.
The thing about her feelings about her feelings of being followed and watched was that she never got any bad feelings from them, she actually felt safer when she felt the unseen eyes watching her and following her. When she catches her brief glimpse of him, she likes what she sees, but she never has the chance to see his eyes.

Things finally calm down and Dolyn explains how they are all mates even though Dolyn is the only pure-blooded dragon both Dolyn and Ashley have a small trace amount of dragon blood in them. This for unknown reasons has brought them all together as mates and he is the Alpha, Valli is the Dom but Dolyn will never submit.
Dolyn and Ashley then quickly get together and then Dolyn leaves not happy that his mates are more human than they are dragons and he is disgusted that he has to have humans as mates. After Dolyn leaves, Ashley and Valli get together as Valli has always wanted. Dolyn returns for some reason but then leaves just as quickly again.

Dolyn was told by his father he was an Alpha and would need to find his pairing. He was in a relationship with the only other known purebread dragon but when that dragon found his mates it caused a shift that Dolyn wasn't sure how to deal with.
Dolyn finds he wants to be dominated and that should not be the case for an Alpha so he tries to deny that part of himself. When his friends new mate gives him some information on where he can find his pair he goes in search of them.
Ashley went through her share of trauma and can not stand having anyone touch her. When her therapist suggests meeting with a Dom she finds herself able to have release but can't allow him to touch her. Suddenly Ashley finds herself feeling like she is being watched by two different people. One makes her scared but one has awakened something within her.
Dolyn finds himself booking a private session with a Dom at a local club because he needs to have a release though he won't allow this man to touch him except for the delicious pain he needs. He promises it will only be the once and then he will need to claim his woman.
Valli is the Dom and owner of his club. He enjoys scenes but is getting bored with life. However, when he gets Ashley as a new client he can't help but want so much more from this woman than she is willing to offer. Will she ever heal enough for him to touch her? The more bizarre encounter comes from a man who comes in seeking pain. Valli is surprised by his reaction to this man as he has never been interested in anything sexual with a man. The amount the man takes and his rules for not being touched are almost to much for him to resist.
The sexual tension is this book is soooooooooo high. I love the way the relationships progress and how them all being in the same rooms opens up more for everyone to experience. However, will Dolyn be able to come to grips with the fact that he isn't actually the Alpha he always thought he was? Could him being the Beta to a mostly human Alpha be something he will be able to accept?

Book 2 in a MMF paranormal love story
Honestly, I do not read many dragon shifter books but I do for a good writer like Ms. Burke. This book maintained her reputation as a writer of stimulatingly steamy and sensitive polyamorous romances in a world of her imagination. As this is book two in the series, Ms. Burke gave a wee bit of background for Dolyn from his experiences in book one, which I read and loved. I am hoping that book three will be about Primrose. Read this book and you will see why.

Honestly, I do not read many dragon shifter books but I do for a good writer like Ms. Burke. This book maintained her reputation as a writer of stimulatingly steamy and sensitive polyamorous romances in a world of her imagination. As this is book two in the series, Ms. Burke gave a wee bit of background for Dolyn from his experiences in book one, which I read and loved. I am hoping that book three will be about Primrose. Read this book and you will see why.

If you read the first book, this one focuses on Elijah’s ex Dolyn. He is a dragonblood, and he’s grown up with his father constantly telling him that he has to be the alpha, the leader, the dominant person in the relationship. This is the internal conflict that he’s had to death with, since he feels like he should be the dominant one a relationship, but there’s side of him that wants to submit to his partner. He’s trying to find his two partners again to continue his lineage, and Ashley and Vanni are his true mates. Ashley has gone through an ordeal when she was younger, so getting to trust others again was difficult for her. Her therapist is Vanni, who is also struggling with his bored lifestyle. Vanni has darker desires than his ex-wife preferred, so he wants someone who would be a better match.
This was a good mix of spice but also shows the inner workings of people struggling to get beyond their past and self doubt. I like that Dolyn and Ashley can finally feel safe with the right partner, and that they can share their past without judgment, and Vanni was able to care and push them beyond their boundaries.

Being told that you are superior and that you are meant to be in charge and being anything other than alpha means you are not worthy. Dolyn lived with this constantly being told to him, so he believed it. Knew that he was an Alpha and he only needed to find his beta and the female for them. He missed submitting to what he thought would be his mate. He went searching for a release, one last time and he found it. Little did he know that night would change the course of his life. Vanni kept his desires secret for so long that he never thought he would truly find happiness or be accepted. Meeting Ashley and giving her the release that she needed allowed him to believe that there was hope for his happily ever after. No one saw what was coming. They could never have imagined the trajectory that their lives would take. This story packs so much raw emotion, pain, awakening, hard truths, shattering realizations, but it also shows the beauty of putting all of those pieces back together.

I knew this story was going to pull at my heartstrings. Lynn’s books are full of emotions, I’ve cried, I’ve laughed and sat in suspense when reading her books.

His mates, Ashley and Vanni are quite complex, she has had a very hard life and Vanni being a Dom does what he can to help her with her trauma.

It was a decent read imo just felt like it was way too drawn out…while there was plenty of spice the lack of communication between all of them just dragged on for waaayyy too long making it hard to stick with the story. And the switch from “do you believe this who doo” to then “alpha and female” from the more human MC just felt forced and stilted…also had a hard time wrapping my head around the actual shifter and one with the most dragon blood being the beta of the group even if the other MMC was a dominant in his daily life,it just didn’t seem to make sense even after they bonded and the other MMC was able to learn to shift, but that could just be a me thing.

I read this series when it first came out. Loving dragon shifters like I do, I was happy when I found out she had gotten the rights back and was "redoing" them!!! All the added words brought so much more to the story. Dolyn is a dragon shifter and discovers that Ashley and Vanni are his mates but Ashley has been through hell and Vanni, as her Dom, is helping her through the trauma. With both Dolyn and Vanni being dominant, it was interesting to watch them work through the dynamics of being with each other as well as with Ashley. This story was so good and I really loved all the extra words. It definitely kicked it up another notch!

The pacing for this book was terrible. Lynn Burke didn't do a good job of properly building the bonds between these three. She especially dropped the ball on Dolyn and Vanni's relationship. This is a MMF book but 98% of the sex scenes are MF and the MM content doesn't actually happen until 90 something percent into the book. Maybe if she didn't drag out Dolyn being in emotional turmoil quit literally most of the book, his relationship with Vanni could've flowed better. Dolyn also was pissing me off. Especially towards the end.

OMG 😱 this was absolutely fantastic story. The book cover had really caught my eye and attention. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was so intense. The chemistry between them was forbidden love and spicy romance and the temptation as soon as they seen each they couldn’t fight or resist the flame that had ignited and sparks of passion between them and that night that they will never forget in this moment and lifetime.

Destined by Dragonblood immediately captivated me. This is a great read with amazing characters. This is the second book in the series and can be read as a standalone with only a few minor spoilers for book 1. I love the plot and character development along with the world building. The interactions between Dolyn, Ashley, and Vanni are dynamic and contain lots of steam. This is a great fast pace read that allows are a wonderful escape. Decent shifter book with three characters that are fated mates, but have to re-evaluate what they believe about themselves. Dolyn is a dragon shifter that believes he needs to be the alpha and is racist and unwilling to accept humans as his mates. Ashley suffered abuse when she was younger and needs to get past it. Finally, there is Vanni, who cannot understand his attaction to another male. The book does contain a lot of gratuitous sex, but the story itself is good.

This book will take you through different emotions. It is best to ensure you read the trigger warnings. We get to meet Ashley who has come a long way from a very tragic past, but she is working through it with her therapist, and Vanni. Dolyn believes to be the alpha of his pack which is how he was brought up to think. But we get to see the character growth amongs all of them Ashley, Vanni, and Dolyn, and it's quite the progression that they all go through and to hear about all their struggles, they aren't all that different from each other. A great read.

Ashley with her traumatic past and the use of bdsm as a healing tool resonated with me, a common healing tool for many with traumatic pasts.
Vanni a Sadist, Dominant and extremely protective was a pleasure to read about.

Might be a dragon story, but there are times when the author’s words apply to now-worldly things…parental control and disinformation, mistreatment of young girls, bad relationships.

Steamy MMF
I love a good MMF and this one was hot! This was a fast burn in my opinion and super steamy!! 😍I loved the balancing act of D/s that was thrown in there between the 3 of them. I loved Ashley and Vanni but Dolyn irritated me sometimes. Still enjoyed reading the story. I’m eager to read more in this series.
