From USA Today Bestselling author Alexandra Silva comes the shattering conclusion to the Frozen Hearts Duet—a dark, emotional MMF hockey romance where love is both salvation and ruin.
In hockey, the hardest hits blindside you. Off the ice, the ones you never see coming hurt the most.
I thought leaving The Fellowship was the hardest part. I was wrong.
The world outside is loud and merciless, full of headlines, whispers, and threats that lurk in every shadow. But with Elijah Sylkes and Jayden Morrow, I feel like I can breathe for the first time. Like I can be more than the girl I was told to be.
What started as a way to heal has become something bigger, something forbidden, something the world doesn’t understand. With Elijah’s quiet strength and Jayden’s easy warmth, we’ve built something fierce and fragile all at once—something we can’t walk away from even when the fire burns too hot.
But loving each other hasn’t made anything easy. Because the line we crossed doesn’t just blur—it disappears. And now the world wants to tear us apart.
Every headline. Every secret. Every shadow waiting to strike.
We have one chance to survive what we’ve unleashed. One chance to hold on when everything is trying to break us. Because sometimes, the hardest fights aren’t on the ice… they’re for the people who own your heart.

Alexandra Silva, I love you so freaking much, you have no idea! I am incredibly grateful that I was given the opportunity to arc read another book for you - and what a treat it was!
Book 2 in the Comets duet, I love that we pick up right where we left off in book 1. The development these characters go through is amazing. Eli literally became a whole different person - in a good way! Let’s just say, karma is a b**ch and she FED my thirst for vengeance and justice. I truly had a DEEP hatred for certain people in this book and seeing it end the way it did, HALLELUJAH. I love Eli’s, JJ’s and Fin’s story so much, it will go down in my history books as one of my favorite ice hockey romances! Add in the cute little three legged pup, and I won’t ever shut up about this book. Well done you!
Tropes: Found Family | Mental Health Rep | Romantic Suspense
Cross the Line picks up right where Break the Ice left off, diving deeper into Elijah’s secrets and the aftermath of the revelations that changed everything. It’s not just a continuation of the story — it’s a transformation.
The relationship between Elijah and Jayden reaches a new depth here. Both men are growing, healing, and redefining themselves while building something real with Fin. I loved how Alexandra Silva explored mental health through Elijah’s journey, showing his effort to become the person that both Fin and JJ deserve.
The first half of the book moves quickly, while the middle slows down a little, but the ending more than makes up for it — emotional, explosive, and utterly satisfying.
Alexandra delivers a stunning conclusion filled with love, pain, healing, and hope. It’s a story about found family, breaking trauma, and choosing love no matter how hard it gets.
Even though I received this as an ARC, this is my honest review. ⭐️ 4 stars | 🌶️ 4 chili peppers
Cross the Line by Alexandra Silva is an exceptional read. It is the second book in the series, and it's emotionally powerful, blending sadness and happiness. The story is beautiful, and their love is so strong that nothing can come between them.
"All I know is I love Finley and Jayden. Being around them changes the rhythm of my heart, makes my lungs feel too big for my chest. They turn the noise in my head into something quiet, calm."
Jayden, Finley and Elijah's conclusion doesn't come without a lot of second guessing, pain, and anger. But it also delivers the payout because they finally come to the realization that their love is forever. It may have been a long journey to get there, but they did get there.
This is an intense, at times heartbreaking, ending to the trio's story. There's a lot of old and new pain, but enough love to help them heal from all of it. The gut wrenching backstory comes out, but they're able to deal with the fallout, together. Together is the keyword, and I'm so glad because I don't think they could have survived on their own, without each other. The spice is seriously hot here, but not gratuitous, because their intimate emotional connection has only deepened, is their very backbone, and heightens their physical connection. I've read a lot of why choose stories, so know now what kinds I like, which ones I love, and which I dislike. This one I love!
ARC provided by Literally Yours PR for an honest review.
This book emotionally destroyed me but in a good way. I knew going into this book that it was not going to be easy. The first book: Break The Ice was a difficult journey to go through and this book was just as difficult. I was an emotional mess.
Even just opening the book gave me goosebumps because I became attached to these characters and their story. At times I literally felt like I was holding my breath at so many parts of this book because the story was so powerful and beautiful. But at times it was overwhelming and soul destroying because of the trauma that Eli was going through.
This book was intense, captivating and heartbreaking. This story is dark, it's passionate and it kept me on my toes until the very last page. I'm not going to rate this book on it's spice level because while it does have so much of that. In my opinion it feels more about the connection between Eli, JJ and Finley rather than it just being physical.
It's about building trust and love. Overcoming a trauma that bleeds into their relationship. Discovering self worth and loyalties and the ability to accept who they really are. Not being afraid to stand up for themselves and letting the past dictate who they should be because society doesn't agree.
For me this book sends a powerful message and that's one of the many things that I love about this book. That it's okay to not be okay. That it's okay to hurt and it's okay to ask for help. It actually had me in tears at several points in this book that I had to step away from it.
Cross The Line highlights so much for me and it spoke to me in a way that I didn't think a book ever could. It's an amazing story of love, strength, power and the ability to move on from the past and it was such a beautiful ending. A perfect way to end such an amazing duet. I have read many why choose books but nothing like this before.
I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book. For me this book deserves more than five stars and I wish that I could. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“When it comes to them, there are no limits. There is no end in sight. Our love is an endless horizon.”
Cross The Line is a breathtaking, soul-shaking finale to Jayden, Eli, and Finley’s journey — a story that picks up after the gut-wrenching cliffhanger of Break The Line and delivers a conclusion that’s as raw as it is redemptive. Every buried secret comes crashing to the surface, and while the truth hurts, this trio faces it head-on with fierce love, unwavering grace, and a forgiveness that feels like a balm to the soul.
Their bond? Unbreakable. Watching them navigate the emotional wreckage and come out stronger — together — was nothing short of powerful. The way their relationship deepens, both emotionally and physically, is a masterclass in vulnerability and trust. You don’t just see their love — you feel it in every glance, every touch, every moment of quiet understanding. I was completely swept away by how deeply they choose each other, again and again.
And let’s talk about the steam. It’s scorching. The intimacy in this book isn’t just hot — it’s transformative. Boundaries are explored, desires are laid bare, and every scene pulses with connection and intensity. Their physical closeness becomes a mirror of their emotional healing, and it’s absolutely electric.
The path they walk is jagged and painful — full of heartbreak, hard choices, and moments that threaten to tear them apart. But they fight. For each other. For love. For the future they deserve. And when they emerge, bruised but unbowed, it’s impossible not to cheer for them.
This story is an emotional rollercoaster in the best possible way — thrilling, devastating, and ultimately triumphant. It will break your heart and stitch it back together with golden thread. Cross The Line isn’t just a conclusion — it’s a celebration of love that refuses to quit.
I was anxiously awaiting the continuation of Eli, Fin and Jayden's story. And overall, Cross the Line was great. It took me a while to get through it though and I think that it was just a little too long. We saw amazing growth in their relationship but I just wanted things to move faster at times - the stuff in the outside world, not with them.
I adored their relationship, especially as Eli grew more confident in his bi-sexuality. The way he let Jayden in, let himself feel things, allowed both of them to pull him back from the edge, was so awesome. I shed many tears for this man and the trauma he was dealing with. His growth was admirable.
And Jayden was so dang strong for all of them. He didn't have the childhood trauma Eli and Fin experienced; in fact, he has a pretty awesome family. And sometimes I think characters like JJ could get overlooked. But his steady presence was so needed in this relationship.
When the 'darkness' of this story hits, it hits hard. Had me on the edge of my seat. Even though I assume things will turn out since this is romance, it still had me praying everyone would be fine.
If you're a sports fan, there's a good deal of hockey action in addition to their drama off the ice. The support of their teammates was great as well. My favorite thing about sports romance is the found family aspect and we feel that here with their teammates, coaches and the team therapist too. Everyone was so supportive and I loved that.
I definitely still give this four stars and as a whole, I really enjoyed the storyline and these characters. I can't recall a recent book where I have wanted a happy ending for our characters more. And I definitely plan to read the next book as I have to find out how things work out with Christina and Matteo.
After reaching the end of Break the Ice I wanted more of these characters and their journey! I picked up this second installment as soon as I could and got right back into the Los Angeles Comets world. I enjoyed this second book so very much!
Elijah, Jayden, and Finley's journey continues! These three have something so special. As so much is thrown their way, can Jayden, Finley, and Elijah fight for their love?
Finley, Elijah, and Jayden drew my heart and I right back in from the start! It's a tough journey for these three and I didn't know what all was going to be in store for them in this second installment. I enjoyed seeing them taking on personal stuff. I adored their blushworthy chemistry and the beautiful connection that these Elijah, Jayden, and Finley shared.
Getting to dig even deeper with Elijah, Finley, and Jayden got me right in the chest! My heart shattered all over again. They've been through so much together and in their lives. Their strength and love shined throughout both installments. I loved how Finley, Jayden, and Elijah were there for each other.
With Cross the Line, Ms.Silva has created such a moving conclusion to this dark MMF romance that brought true depth and realness, beautiful love, hockey, and so many feels! I can't wait to read what this author brings our way next!
Be sure to check out the author's content/trigger warnings.
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from the author*
This book wrecked me in the best possible way. Cross the Line is long, but it needs to be. Every chapter, every pause, every moment of healing is intentional—and I’m so grateful Alexandra Silva didn’t rush it. The emotional depth of this story deserves time, and she gives it the space to breathe.
Eli’s trauma and his journey through pain, fear, and rediscovery are portrayed with such raw honesty that I found myself in tears more than once. The way Silva handles such sensitive subject matter is both beautiful and respectful, never sensationalized, but deeply human. You feel everything—his vulnerability, his confusion, his slow, fragile steps toward trust and love. Please, readers, take care of yourselves and read the trigger warnings first. This book is heavy at times, but so worth it.
And then there’s the chemistry—my God, the chemistry. Elijah, Jayden, and Finley together are electric. The connection between them is complex, tender, and nuclear hot. It’s not just passion—it’s emotional intimacy that burns just as fiercely as the physical attraction.
By the time I turned the final page, I felt like I’d lived every heartbeat with them—every hurt, every touch, every flicker of hope. This story is messy, healing, and impossibly beautiful.
Thank you so much for the ARC. It is a privilege to be part of the review team.
This is the second book for these three so you most definitely need to read Break The Ice first! This one was an extra long one with so many details that I found myself really falling for these characters cause I got to know them so personally throughout the story. Finley has it made with Eli & Jayden, these men literally rock her world basically every night. They can’t get enough of each other, so be prepared for a lot of spicy scenes because it gets very hot very quickly between all three of them. My heart hurts for Eli so much for what he went through, along with the way he carried it with him all these years suffering alone, but that came to a end when he finally accepted his feelings towards Jayden & let him in. Throughout this book these three really helped each other mentally & obviously physically, but they really needed each other & it showed the growth of their relationship along with them in general. Towards the end I had a bad feeling when it came to Ryker & Presley, but I was not expecting any of that to actually happen. Overall I loved to see Finley really grow & find herself after Havenview plus she got two hockey players that literally worship her & make her feel like she is enough. Side note have a fan on or near by when reading this book because holy smokes it’s very hot & steamy!
When I received this ARC, I was not aware that it was the second book of a duet. There is context of what happened previously, but having missing pieces to the story did confuse me early on. Perhaps if I read Break the Ice, my rating would be different.
While I understand why Eli revealed his dark past to Jayden, it caused a rift between them and Finley. Eli no longer wanted to let his trauma control his life.
When Finley finds out about the secret, she questions how Eli could still love her. When she brings up how they are never together without Jayden, Eli brushes it under the rug and tries to prove her wrong. This conflict is the root cause of their relationship problems, and it is resolved too quickly in one scene. Finley has every right to be upset at Jayden for knowing before her but understands that it's not his secret to tell. Once again, the conflict goes away as fast as it was brought up.
Eli learns to be vulnerable and to believe that he is worthy of love. Finley moves past her doubt that Eli loves her. Jayden is the bridge that brings the trio together. The author weaves in character growth in the relationships between Eli and Jayden, Eli and Finley, Jayden and Finley, as well as all three together. There is plenty of spice throughout, but the story is too long and there are filler scenes that could've been cut for pacing.
Salem's side plot intrigued me and felt like the author was laying the groundwork for a future book.
Thank you to Literally Yours PR for the digital ARC!
“I’m theirs from the inside out and the outside in. I’m their angel and baby through and through. I am theirs, as they are mine. Irrevocably. Eternally. Emphatically.”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
This book delivered everything I hoped for after that brutal cliffhanger in Break the Line. I was dying to know what happened next and it did not disappoint.
The emotional intensity in this second book of the Comets Duet is unreal. The relationship development between Finley, Eli, and Jayden was absolutely top tier. Their connection isn’t just physical or romantic, it’s soulful. The way they heal together, protect each other, and choose love even when it’s hard made my heart ache in the best way.
And the spice? Next. Level. 🔥 Every intimate scene was emotional, meaningful, and so well written.
If I had one critique, it would be that the book felt a little long. There were a few scenes that could have been trimmed without losing impact, but honestly, I still couldn’t put it down. I was hooked from start to finish.
If you love: ✔️ Emotional, character-driven romance ✔️ Healing + found love ✔️ Complex relationship dynamics ✔️ Beautiful writing ✔️ SPICE with FEELINGS 🌶️❤️
Then you need this duet in your life. 100% recommend. A stunning conclusion to a powerful love story.
"Like the strong glue she is, Finley holds us tighter with every spurt of our release. And long after we’re sated, bodies loose and breaths in sync, we remain tangled. Forever bound, etched in the fabric of each other’s souls."

Arc Review
This book Wrecked me completely after reading book 1 I knew going into this I was going to be an emotional mess and I was a mess
Did this book break me? Yes It absolutely did but it put me back together while reading it.
I loved this book so much from the beginning it had me hooked until the very end. I was literally sat on the edge of my seat while I was reading this book. I laughed and I cried while my heart was breaking into pieces with everything they were going through.
The growth between all the characters was powerful and moving.
What a beautiful ending to the duet.
Thankyou for allowing me to be an arc reader for this book even Though you broke me In the most beautiful way while reading this book
Oh my oh my! After that ending in book 1 I was so ready for this book! And when I tell you I was on edge for the entire thing.... I fell and fell hard!
Book 2 follows straight on from the events of book 1, Finley is working on being the best version of herself especially with everything going on around her, Eli and Jayden are right there to protect her at any cost, even if it means keeping some pretty dark secrets. Is she ready to hear them though...
These boys! Oh god they are just perfect, in there own ways they when they are all together, damn... its glorious! And the spice... oh Holy Hotness! You will not want to put it down.
I was not expecting some of the twists and turns in this book and it kept me wanting more, I cannot wait for what is to come next.
I would highly recommend this book as well as the previous in the series, For fans of MMF, Dark Hockey Romances, Bi-Awakening, Rivals Sister, Mental Health Rep and some very delicious Spicy goodness.
Cross the Line completely blew me away—it’s intense, emotional, and utterly captivating. The stakes are high both on and off the ice, and the way Elijah, Jayden, and the MC navigate love, danger, and secrecy had me completely invested from start to finish. The chemistry between the trio is electric, and I loved seeing how their connection grew even under impossible circumstances. The story is dark, passionate, and full of raw emotion that hits hard, leaving you both breathless and aching for them.
What amazed me most was how gut-wrenching and beautifully written this conclusion is. The tension, the heartbreak, the stakes—it all felt so real and layered, and I found myself cheering, crying, and holding my breath throughout. While some of the darker themes were heavy, the story never lost its heart, and the depth of emotion and love between the characters made it unforgettable. I’m giving it 4 stars because it’s powerful, shocking, and utterly immersive—I couldn’t put it down.

My thoughts 💭 This book made me sob so much, as much as it is heartbreaking it is even more healing. It’s so good, the story needed to be told and I am so grateful that I was able to read it. The love these 3 have for each other is so special and inspiring. They fight for what keeps them together and I am here for it. I cannot stress this enough that this is a must read and 100% suggest you read it! Also, the spice…wow!
✨I would like to thank the author, Alexandra Silva and Literally Yours Pr for the opportunity to read and review Cross the Line.
Oh man… I don’t even know where to start with this one. This book wrecked me — in the best and worst ways. There was so much healing, so much pain, so many tears… and somehow, so much love too.
My heart absolutely shattered for Casey. Getting Eli’s full story? Gut punch. I swear I had to stop and just breathe a few times. Ryker can still kick rocks, but I can’t lie — a small part of me felt bad for him, in that lost, broken way.
Fin and the guys went through hell and back, but they fought for their peace, and damn if they didn’t come out stronger for it. Even through all the heartbreak and trauma, love still found a way to rise above it all.
That ending though… I couldn’t have loved it more if I tried. It was perfect. Raw, beautiful, and full of hope. Now I’m just sitting here, heart full and aching, waiting to see what comes next.
The final book in the Comet's Duet. This book takes up right after the ending of the first book where Elijah is haunted by the demons of his past. Elijah finally admits his feeling towards Jayden and Finley and the throuple is born. Finley is the glue that bring both Jayden and Elijah together and helps Elijah come to terms with his demons. Elijah's demons are big and have been haunting him for most of his life and when he finally gets the strength to get therapy and confront his demons and let people in to help him. Meanwhile Finley is dealing with a stalker and when the final confrontation comes things are never the same..maybe for the better.
I loved the growth of all three MC's and how they navigated being in an unconventional relationship and living in the public eye. I also liked how Elijah confronted his demons and won which brough Finley and Jayden closer to him.
Thank you to Literally Yours PR and Alexandra Silva for the ARC copy unexchanged for my honest review.
Wow! This books was emotional and raw. Be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster of a ride.
Jayden, Eli, and Finley go through the ride of a lifetime for their relationship. Their bond is tested, but it’s stronger than ever. It’s not an easily journey. But the love they have for one another, it’s amazing. Along the way their love and bond it deepens both physically and emotionally. They continue to learn to grow together and as individually. Every single time, they continue to choice one another. I was blown away by their love.
Their journey was rough, it was painful, it was brutal at times. But every single time they decided to fight, fight for each other and fight for themselves. And the spice, whew it was hot hot hot!!! These three were meant for one another completely.
This one really conflicted me, especially after the first book pleasantly surprised me. I really wanted to love it, but for me personally I felt what I always worry about with reading non MF happened. The plot got lost amongst the scorching pages. Which is a shame, but something this plot orientated reader is used to. I am definitely a minority though and I know MANY readers who will love every aspect of this book. While I skimmed a lot, once I hit 80% I started feeling more in my element. While I wish some things went into more depth instead of springing back to the bedroom I inhaled every morsel of the intriguing and intricate plot. I can't wait to see what the author comes up with next.
This is the third book in this impressive series, and the conclusion of Elijah, Jayden, and Finley’s duet. This is a journey of high stakes, and forbidden love, yet as they grow together, and their bond solidifies, the future is easy to handle together. This is a well written, raw, gritty, action packed, emotional roller coaster story, with friendships, heartbreak, secrets, intrigue, challenges, soulmates, humour, witty banter, healing, and unconditional love, which leads to an entertaining, twisted, and unpredictable, dark MMF romance, which tugs at the heartstrings throughout. Be aware of the trigger warnings! I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Book 2 picks up where that cliffhanger from book 1 left us hanging and oh my was it worth the wait! Book 1 was the first I’ve read by this author and after reading this one I will be reading more (I believe there is another book in this series that is a standalone story linked to this). Cross the line is packed with twists and turns I didn’t see coming and I couldn’t get enough, it’s very well written and the progression of their relationship was just perfect! I don’t want to go into any detail and potentially spoil the story, but I will say you need to read this if you like hockey romance, rh/mmf, dark romance, you will not be disappointed!.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Cross the Line is book three of the Los Angeles Comets Series.
We pretty much pick up where we left off in the first book. I was glad to see right away that Finlay was always going to be behind Eli and supporting and trusting him through everything. We really see these three work through everything going on in all of their lives. A lot of secrets finally come to light and we have to deal with the repercussions from them. It truly is an emotional rollercoaster. Everyone's fears about their relationship and life are shown, but we get to see these three come together as a solid unit and accept each other for what they are and find love with each other.
Wow! Eli, Fin and JJ knocked it out of the park in this. Was not expecting there to be as much spice as there was and I was so here for it! We get to see them navigate the reality of a public relationship between them. The plot twists were brilliant, did not see some of them coming at all. I love that we get to see the many different sexual dynamics between them which makes the spice fresh every time. Was not ready to cry for what we find out happens. A really good end to a brilliant duet. I will miss Eli, Fin and JJ but this book set up for the next book really well making you interested in their story too.
Finley and Elijah have always loved each other. Then comes Jayden, a friendship that grows into more but there is a hesitation because of Elijah past trauma. One that comes to light in a not so good way. Although, I did like how the story evolved with the three of them overcoming the outside forces that forced them deal with their feelings. I did not care for Eli opening up to Jayden and not Finley first considering she was supposed to his heart and the he has always loved. It should have been her that he told and him holding on to that and hiding it from her even after telling Jayden didnt set well with me. Aside of that it was good, emotional, raw and compelling.
Eli, Finley and Jayden… be still my heart! They will knock you off your feet with all the emotions. You will tear up with both joy and sadness. You will blush! So hard. 🫠 You will continue to fall in love with them and be rooting for their HEA. Their journey in this second book will pull at your heart at every turn. They let their love guide them through it all and it’s so beautiful. When it’s meant to be it just is and nothing is going to take that away from them. Their love and devotion to each other heals, it glues them together and makes them unbreakable. Highly recommend!
Finley and Elijah have the kind of untouchable love that everyone dreams of. It seemed so perfect that they didn't even realize there was a piece missing from their heart until Jayden came into the picture and completed it in a way none of them knew was possible. This story will tug on all of your heart strings and give you the 'happily ever after' that you didn't know you needed.
This is book two of a duet. Break the Ice must be read first. It is an MMF hockey romance, Eli, Finley and Jayden's story. I really loved these three together. The spicy scenes are really smoking hot and definitely kept me hooked on the story and had me rooting for their HEA. The character development was strong and I loved how all three of them were always there for each other. This story is very emotional too and I loved their story so much. Definitely need to read this series.
This book was needed after that cliffhanger in Break the Ice. The emotional roller coaster this author had us go through was intense, raw, heartbreaking but so worth it. I was in my feels the entire journey!
Cross the line was Elijah and Jayden’s story. And continues from the first book. An entertaining read but ended. I received an early copy via bs. And voluntarily leaving this review.
