The read date here is a guess. The household copy actually belongs to the one who has grown up to be an artist, but I'm not pretending there is causation here. If anything, the reverse: no doubt it seemed like a good choice for the one who was so inclined. Anyway. We have a lot of coloring books, and markers, and gel pens, and colored pencils, and crayons (although I don't like them at all). But this is particularly interesting, just because most coloring books don't give you lots of different kinds of images. Highly recommended as a coloring book that happens to include some interesting text.

A coloring book of 60 paintings with brief stories about the artist and the artwork. This is a great introduction to masterpieces of art. I google the artwork and print it out to use as a guide when coloring the piece. It’s a fun thing to do when I’m watching TV. Oh, are coloring books just for kids? OK, if there are kids in your life this is a great book for them too!
