Part history, part giddy memoir. This book is completely unsourced and next to useless in terms of culinary research, but oh boy is it fun to read. It awakened in me a wish to read books on the confectionary industry in other countries, but it's not so easy to find ones in languages I can read. Anyone know Norwegian?
Fun fact: the Harvard library system has 21 periodicals (in Hebrew) about the Israeli candy industry!

Some sweets/chocolates are a lot older than I'd thought, and it got really interesting for me around the 60s when sweets/chocolates that are no longer available popped up. A bit of a nostalgia trip there, then.
