Scarlett

What are best friends for?

I would follow Harlow to hell and back if it meant keeping her safe. Little did I know that was exactly where I would end up. Trapped in a shipping container in the middle of the ocean with the only human on the planet who is able to resist my feminine wiles. Frost. A formidable wall of a man who seemed intent on blocking me out. The more he pushes me away, the more I’m drawn to him, and I’m intent on finding out what makes him tick.

I hope he’s ready for me, because this woman has got some naughty tricks up her sleeve.

Mama this book was so delicious!! The cliffhanger wtf was that. Having to add more characters wasn’t expected but love Frost & scarlet love how all of them were together! The dark it got was so good. But also the spice was also getting good too. The crazier it got was like twist. I really enjoyed this book cant wait for 3!

This picks up right where Babydoll left off, which I really appreciated! As with the first book, check your trigger warnings before reading. I found I connected much more with Scarlet and Frost in this book than I did with Harlow and Ace in Babydoll. This is also a great set up for the third book in the series.

You get 4 POVs in Miss Vixen; Harlow, Ace, Scarlet and Frost. I enjoyed seeing everything come together from all their perspectives and thought it was really well plotted out. Sometimes multiple POVs can be confusing, but here I thought it was well done. Each character’s voice was clear and distinct in the writing.

Thank you to the author for the gifted eARC of Miss Vixen. All opinions expressed are my own. I’m looking forward to the next installment in the series!

ARC read!

This was a really fun book! If you like fast paced, short chapters and dark romance. You will love this. It in 4 different perspectives; Harlow (Babydoll), Ace, Scarlet (Vixen or Princess also Harlow’s BFF) and Frost (Aces front line men) please make sure to read your triggers!!! Great set up for the 3rd instalment!

Happy Reading!

What. A. Book.

This was the second instalment of this trilogy and I loved it just as much as the first.

It was all things crazy, wild and spicy!

This was in four different pov’s (happening at the same time, two of them different places). I adored Scarlett and Frost. And of course Harlow and Ace. Their individual characters and couples were so well written and I loved how they were similar but different and had their own little intricacies!

I was hooked from the start and I was holding my breath for the last few chapters! No part of this book made me think ‘oh I’ll just put it down and finish later’. No, once I started I did not stop until I finish I loved it that much!

I am not usually a dark romance reader but this is absolutely the dark romance book of my dreams. The craziness is coupled with top tier banter and was everything I wanted!

If you like a fast-paced book filled with spicy chaotic madness, then this is the book for you! This book continues where book 1 left off so you are still getting a Harlow and Ace plot line but also now has a storyline for Scarlette and Frost, but that does mean you do have to read the 1st book to enjoy this one. I will say while I enjoyed the continuing storyline, which would require a split between the 4 characters, but I wish I had gotten a little more from the Scarlette/Frost plotline just because I had loved everything about book 1 (Harlow/Ace) but with the split in this book we didn't get as much when it came to their storyline. I enjoyed what was there I just knew it could have been more based on the previous book if that makes sense.
I loved Scarlette who was sassy sunshine while Frost was the silent grumpy kind. But beneath his tough exterior was a bubbling volcano just waiting to burst when it came to Scarlette that once he gave in gave us some really good spice in the book. I also loved how smart and resourceful Scarlette was when trying to work with what she had when it came to her experiments. Now I will say between the two couples Scarlette/Frost are not as dark/unhinged as ACE/Harlow so along with then being the perfect balances for each other they also balance out ACE and Harlow.
Overall, this was a fun book to read, and I loved that it was a poison ivy retelling and with the clues left in this book I am really excited to see what happens yet bc this does end on a crazy cliffhanger.

This book is about Scarlette who has been kidnapped by a woman by Carmen who not only wanted to get back at her best friend Harlow who was dating Carmen's ex ACE but also because she wants to utilize Scarlette's biochemistry experience to come up with a new drug for her to sell. So now she is trapped in a shipping container in the middle of the ocean trying to come up with a new party drug. As is that being bad enough, she is trapped with a quiet, grumpy giant who seems to be resistant to her and her feminine wiles. His name is Frost, and he is actually the guard to ACE, Harlow's boyfriend and this man seems intent on ignore her presence and pushing her away. But that just makes Scarlette more interested in grabbing his attention. But when she finally comes up with an aphrodisiac party drug she is forced to test it on the only man available. Opening up a floodgate that might even be a little too much for her, but she is excited for the ride.

I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

Such a quick read, I binged it in one day, which is unheard of for me!! And even though dark romance and violence isn’t normally my favourite thing to read, I couldn’t put it down, the writing was so simple that I flew through it! I definitely recommend reading the series back to back because I could vaguely remember the cliffhanger from Babydoll, but I think both the cliffhanger and the beginning of this story would have been more powerful if I’d read the first book again but I picked it all back up quite quickly!

I loved that there were 4 POVs, two being Harlow and Ace from Babydoll. It made the series feel way more connected and reinforced that this book is a continuation rather than a standalone. I won’t lie though, I found myself wanting to read Scarlett and Frost’s chapters the most because the tension was unbearable! The romance between them was so damn HOT!!

It was actually quite emotional for a short, dark romance, there was one moment where I was in tears and genuinely wasn’t sure how the situation was going to play out. The story wasn’t as gory and gruesome as I remember Babydoll being, so I think that helped me enjoy it more because it focused on the whole plan and drama from the first book, with Frost and Scarlett needing to escape, rather than on the violence and chaos of Babydoll.

I like that this series just gets straight to the action and was fast paced enough to keep my attention without being too fast. Because a lot happened in a short time, it had me hooked and I managed to the entire book in a day which I normally don’t do!

Book two in the Love & Madness series delivers a Poison Ivy retelling that is just as sick, twisted, and deliciously dark as book one.

We pick up after a time jump from that chaotic cliffhanger, and yes — Ace and Harlow are still thriving in their beautifully depraved madness. Honestly, those two just keep getting better (and somehow funnier?) the more unhinged things become.

This time we also get a new romance brewing between Scarlett and Frost. Their forced proximity in that tiny prison setting? Perfection. The banter. The tension. The chemistry. While they might be slightly less manic than Ace and Harlow, don’t be fooled — they absolutely hold their own when it comes to intensity and heat.

The mafia war ramps up big time in this one, bringing gruesome murders, high stakes, and somehow still some laugh-out-loud moments. And that twist at the end?! I did not see it coming, and now I desperately need book three.

Dark. Twisted. Addictive. This series just keeps escalating.

Thank the gods for a certain chemically enhanced manbeast, without him I would have been sobbing like a baby.

In the second book of the Love and Madness trilogy, we delve into Scarlett and Frost's evolution. Continuing on from Babydoll, Amara tells the story of how a quiet, broody MMC tries to resist his feelings for the sultry, no fucks given, MFC. Until he cant any longer.... A suspenseful love story with plenty of spice and a super unexpected twist right at the end! Will they be able to make it out alive? Or is this a romance doomed from the start? Only by reading this book will you get the answers, not for the weak kneed folks out there (you'll understand the innuendo too if you read it!)

Miss Vixen is an absolute whirlwind of spice, chaos, and irresistible chemistry!

This fast-paced, high-heat story pulls you in from page one and doesn’t let go. Scarlett is pure sunshine—fiery, fearless, and impossible not to love—while Frost is the ultimate grump with a heart buried deep under those icy layers. Their dynamic is explosive in the best way.

The story is wild, unfiltered, and totally addictive. Be sure to check the trigger warnings, because this ride doesn’t hold back. And that cliffhanger? Brutal—in the most deliciously frustrating way.

If you’re looking for a spicy, madcap romance that keeps you on edge, Miss Vixen delivers it all. A 5-star rollercoaster!

**CHECK ALL TRIGGER AND CONTENT WARNINGS!

Second installation of the Harley and Joker retelling. This one focusing a split between Ace and Harlow and Scarlet and Frost.

Just as the first book, this one had me hooked from page one. I wanted to know what happened after the ending of Babydoll, and I was not disappointed. The spice was spicy and please check content warnings and all the trigger warnings provided.

Frost is not as dark as Ace, but also has that much loved Burn the world down for his Princess.

Now I have to wait patiently for the next instalment!

I cannot say enough good things about this book. The story between Scarlett and Frost was incredible and I loved the build up between them. I’m so happy that the story picked up from the last one and we got to experience all four perspectives of the story. It’s rare that I enjoy every single POV in a book, but each character was so well written. I also can’t get enough of Harlow and Ace. They are an addicting amount of crazy! I can’t wait to read the next book and see what else is in store for this story!

This was even more unhinged than the first book!

Adding another two character’s POV was an interesting choice, but I felt it really worked here - and I liked them as a couple.

That epilogue - oh my! Looks like I’ll be stalking the release date for book 3, because I need to know what’s going to happen next.

Again - this did not change my life, but I read this entire one in a single day, so I feel that says something about it 🤷🏻‍♀️ (it could definitely use another pass-through by an editor though)…

Quite the journey

Not quite as good as the first book, but still a worthy read. At least we get resolution to the cliffhanger at the end of book 1 and this book delves into a new couple, Scarlett and Frost (Ash). Plus we get a fair amount of the original lovebirds. Good story, lots of action, romance as well. I would say this one is slightly less spicy and slightly less dark than the first, but still kind of twisted. If you read book 1 you have to read book 2. And now that I have seen the setup up for book 3, I will have to continue!

OMG I absolutely loved this second book of the trilogy!!

Scarlett and Frost are definitions of sunshine/grumpy lol!!

But don't let that fool you! Scarlett comes into her own and it's definitely worth it to "see" for yourself.

I really enjoyed Frost becoming "human" for Scarlett. I loved how he became delicate for her.

Now, this one ends in a cliffhanger as well and I am counting down till we get the third book!

Ace, Harlow, Frost and Scarlett are the group to love!

This is book two. Read book one first trust me. This book brings our crazy couple back with her best friend and the body guard. It follows both couples and the crazy continues. While the book has a completely different feel then book one the story goes along great and I couldn’t put it down. This one ends in a heck of a shocker and left me jonesing for book three that isn’t out yet. Boo. Read the triggers then jump on the crazy town train.

This books was action packed. I really enjoyed the characters Harlow and Ace really get into it and it’s super fun to read what they do. Harlows insanity makes me happy.

Scar is also a great character and the mix of her and frost was quite spice, not my cup of tea 😂 but I really enjoyed them. I hope the next book will be just as good and that the F’er gets F’d I cannot wait to see what she does with that guys.

You’ll have to read the book to see who the final villain is.

It stared out so very well! The story and characters are deep and thought out but halfway through it takes a 180 (just like the previous book) and everything changes. The action and smut scenes are way too cliche and poorly written compared to the rest of the book. And the reasons for keeping the world building going is not well planned. I had higher expectations

I honestly enjoyed this book more than book one. I loved Scar and Frost's chemistry. They are perfect for each other... There are so many good scenes..
the spice seemed overkill towards the end, but other than that, I had a good time.
Cerious, what's next... impatiently waiting for book 3

Such a good book! I couldn't wait to get into this one after the way the first one ended. I didn't love this one quite as much as the first book but I still gave it 5 stars because it was THAT good.

I think I just wasn't as invested in the main characters of this book, maybe just still hooked on the main characters of the first book? The spicy tension could be cut with a knife which I love. The spice was so well written and didn't take away from the plot by any means. There wasn't as much character development but I loved how their story progressed.

I received an advance reader copy of this book and will definitely be buying a physical copy. Highly recommend!
