Rate this book
Years before Thyss the sorceress, Chosen of the fire god Hykan, ventured into the West to fall in with the Dahken known as Cor Pelson, she sought her own destiny away from the machinations of her father.

After surviving the dreaded d'kinde of the northern jungles ("Hunted" from Tendrils in the Dark), a young Thyss finds herself relying on the help of an idealistic king and his people. Their way of life is alien to her, completely unknown in a world where strength bolstered by the magic of the gods reigns. But what will she do when their kindness, their idyllic way of life is challenged by those outside of it. Where will she stand?

She has to battle her own beliefs, rival warriors, and even her father to seek her own destiny, and is it possible that the very source of her power chains her to her destiny? What follows is the long awaited tale of Thyss the sorceress.

Some heroes are chosen.
Some are trained.
And some are burned into legend.
Bound by Flame doesn’t just tell a story it reads like a war chronicle carved into stone and ash. From the first chapter, you’re thrown into a kingdom on the brink of collapse, where fire isn’t just destruction… it’s power, prophecy, and punishment. Thÿss isn’t your typical fantasy heroine she’s raw, furious, and beautifully flawed. Every battle feels personal. Every victory costs blood.
The worldbuilding is thick with smoke and steel:
• scorched villages
• brutal magic systems
• political betrayal
• war-torn landscapes
• and a power that feels as dangerous to wield as it is to survive
The combat scenes? Savage.
The magic? Volatile and cinematic.
The stakes? Kingdom ending. But what hit hardest was the emotional core this isn’t just about saving the realm. It’s about identity, sacrifice, and what happens when the fire inside you refuses to die.By the final chapters, I didn’t feel like a reader.I felt like a survivor crawling out of the battlefield.
If you love:
⚔️ fierce female warriors
🔥 elemental magic
🩸 gritty high fantasy
👑 rebellion & destiny arcs
🐉 epic war energy
This book will absolutely wreck you (in the best way).

⚠️Caution⚠️ Must read The Cor Chronicles first! This is coming from a Mega Fan and the fact that the end of this book has spoilers for that series. So go read those first.

Now, to say that I have been anticipating and shamelessly begging the Author for this backstory (since reading The Cor Chronicles) is no understatement. Filled with Elemental Magicks, a Bad A$$ FMC, self-discovery, battles/blööd and gøre, a lot of sad unaliving, and unaliving of evil peeps too. So much to this book. I have been given closure from the ending of the Cor Chronicles and and so much happier for it. If you love Epic Dark Fantasies, then read The Cor Chronicles and then this book. 8 books in all but very good quick suck-you-in reads! Cannot express how much I love that I have this story is my head now. 💯
