This book is definitely perfect for fans of The Difference looking for another cozy escape! While you certainly can read this book without reading The Difference, your experience will be greatly enhanced by knowing what Rachel went through to get to this new ancestry journey.

One of my favorite aspects of this book was the way the author showed Rachel navigating her healing journey with anxiety. I notice that most books focus on characters when they are at the beginning of their mental health journey and often before they’ve done any therapy or improved. I loved seeing Rachel recognize her anxiety spirals more clearly and reflect meaningfully on how to apply her newfound coping skills. There are many times throughout the book when she catches herself in “black and white thinking” and adjusts her thinking to be more realistic. Although of course her anxiety is not gone, she has learned to deal with it in a new way. This was a refreshing way to see mental health handled in a book.

I love the way Rachel treasures the connections she has with her ancestors and demonstrates how influential those family members can be in the present day, even after they’ve passed. If you enjoy ancestry journeys and cozy women’s fiction with a dash of delectable food descriptions, you will enjoy this quick, enjoyable read.

Rachel Granza suffers from anxiety. On the surface, everything is going well in her life—she’s opened her own private therapy practice with kids, has a close family and a loving marriage—but she feels her anxiety slowly creeping back. The last time she felt this way, she set off on a quest to discover her grandfather’s history, which took her on an adventure to Italy and discovered where her obsession with The Titanic derived. So she decides that another ancestry search is in order. This research mission is closer to home—to find out more about the family that adopted her grandfather when he immigrated to the U.S. In the process, she will learn more about her grandfather’s childhood, his adopted family’s tailoring business, and gain more family. Then when a surprise gift of her grandfather’s arrives, it makes all the difference in Rachel finding a renewed purpose in her life.

P.S. ALL THE DIFFERENCE is a touching and delightful novella about family history, finding purpose in one’s life, and connecting with others. C. D’Angelo is a go-to author for me. I always learn something new about Italian history, and enjoy the heartwarming family dynamics and the mouth-watering food descriptions in her books. It was so wonderful to catch up with Rachel from THE DIFFERENCE, and I loved the message about finding a purpose in life by helping others. If you’re looking for a fast-paced, uplifting read, I highly recommend this book!

If you haven’t read The Difference, I strongly urge you to read it first. Of course you can read this without having read it, but this novella is all the sweeter if you know the story in The Difference before hand.

Brian and Rachel. My goodness how these two have grown. They really are one of my favorite fictional couples. Their problems in The Difference and their growth in PS All the Difference is so realistic. The way they listen and support each other, having learned so much and fought so hard to get here. I loved it.

Rachel realizing she wasn’t done learning her grandfather’s story and her pursuit of more information was so good. The reminder that those we have lost, yes we miss them, but they are with us still in so many ways. My heart needed that, needed that reminder that I always carry those that have died with me in my heart and in other ways too.

I had things I hoped would happen when I read the synopsis and I have to say C. D’Angelo’s story was better than anything I hoped for. So many good things in this book that will leave you devouring this novella. I know I did. It was such a treat to catch up with this group of characters, like a reunion with old friends. Time, patience, love, and forgiveness. Well friends, those things truly make all the difference and oh how beautiful when they all come together as they did here.

Thank you to the author for the copy of this book. All views are my honest opinion.

Rachel Granza is back — older, wiser, and still anxiety-prone in the most relatable way. Life’s good on paper (hello, hubby and booming therapy biz), but something’s off. So what does she do? Launches herself into another ancestry adventure, of course! This time, it’s all about uncovering the mysterious Serafinos — the family who helped raise her grandpa when he came to the U.S.

What follows is a mix of heart, humor, and roadblocks galore. Rachel’s determination is fierce, and watching her grow through it all? So satisfying. The character development is rich without feeling heavy, and the pacing kept me turning pages like I was the one on a deadline. C. D’Angelo’s writing is warm, witty, and feels like chatting with your clever bestie who also has a thing for genealogy.

If you like your stories with heart, heritage, and a healthy splash of midlife “what now?”, this one’s calling your name.

C. D'Angelo never misses! If you haven’t read The Difference, definitely start there first. If you have already read that fabulous book, then just know that this follow-up is everything I hoped it would be and more.

I absolutely loved getting back into Rachel’s world. What I loved most about this book is how real Rachel feels. She’s not perfect, and that’s what makes her so relatable. Her anxiety, her self-awareness, her need for purpose is all portrayed in such an honest and thoughtful way. This novella felt like visiting with an old friend and that is the highest praise any novel can receive in my opinion.

This story isn’t just about uncovering family history, it’s about finding peace and staying true to the people who shaped us. It’s heartfelt, beautifully written, and left me thinking about it long after I read the final page.

If you’ve read The Difference, don’t miss this sequel. And if you haven’t read either, then do yourself a favor and start from the beginning. Rachel’s journey is one worth taking.

You might have noticed my last reviews have all been with small press or indie authors, and that’s because supporting beautiful books like this one makes my soul happy. Books that celebrate heritage and overcoming obstacles. If you need a break from all the news lately, this book will make you smile and remind you that sometimes looking at the past can help you move forward.

I love that the main character, Rachel, is a little neurotic, because who isn’t? I also love how she was inspired by her grandfather and how it helped her discover new things about herself.

One thing I can always depend on from this author is that I’m going to leave her books feeling ready to embrace a new direction in life (and maybe a cannoli or two, pizza, you name it, her food descriptions always make me hungry).

P.S. Family. Food. And a lot of heart. (It really does make all the difference in life and books.)

PS THE DIFFERENCE is the follow-up novella of THE DIFFERENCE. It can be read as a stand alone but you should read The Difference first to fully understand all the characters.

It has been 12 years since anxiety prone Rachel Granza researched the genealogy of her grandfather and uncle. She is feeling in a slump and doesn't want to go back to that dark time in her life. She needs another ancestry journey discovering the Serafino family who took in her grandfather and uncle when they arrived from Italy.

I enjoyed following Rachel's journey in discovering more about her grandfather and continuing his legacy. She has learned to better take care of her mental health and even discovered her desire to help people in need. Like every Italian family, there are Sunday dinners that had me salivating. Don't read this one hungry!

Thank you to the author for the gifted ebook and this is my honest opinion.

This is a charming novella that invites readers into the life of Rachel Granza, a woman who, on the surface, seems to have it all—a loving marriage, a thriving psychotherapy practice, and the comfort of suburban life. I was drawn in by Rachel’s genuine struggle with anxiety and her determination to not let old patterns sabotage her happiness. What stood out to me most is how Rachel’s adventure isn’t just about uncovering facts; it’s about reclaiming a sense of purpose. As she faces roadblocks and rediscovers her grandfather’s legacy—including his adopted family’s tailoring business—she finds not only more of her own history but also new family and a renewed sense of belonging. This is a short, sweet, and easy-to-read story. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the answers we seek lie not just in our past, but in the kindness and legacy we choose to carry forward. Rachel’s commitment to spreading kindness and honoring her grandfather’s memory is both heartwarming and motivating.

P.S. All the Difference is a sequel to C. D’Angelo’s debut, The Difference—a truly fantastic read. Knowing how much I enjoy D’Angelo’s novels, I knew I would not be disappointed. In this novella, a book length I absolutely adore, we once again encounter Rachel and Brian. These two had a lot to learn in The Difference, and in P.S. they show how much they’ve grown and changed. I love seeing growth in a couple because it’s a reference frame we don’t always get to see!
What hasn’t changed since D’Angelo’s debut is Rachel’s interest in genealogy, particularly her grandfather’s story. With hard work, determination, and a lot of perseverance, Rachel unearths the truth, a revelation for both characters and readers alike. Also included in this novella are D’Angelo’s quintessential focus on food, family, and Italian culture. All I can say is, Brava!

A bonus book that adds to the first....This book was a great follow-up to Ms. D’Angelo’s first book, The Difference. I loved how her story continued ten years later with Rachel Granza learning more about her grandfather’s life story. I especially appreciate how Rachel, being afflicted with anxiety throughout her life, uses coping skills to keep her mind steady as she searches for more information about her grandfather, leading her to a fuller perspective of her own life. We need more stories about real life and real issues that gently help us grow into better versions of ourselves. If you haven’t read The Difference yet, I suggest starting with it and then reading this short but sweet, icing-on-the-cake bonus book. You won’t be disappointed!

D’Angelo provides a novella-length addition to her award-winning novel, All the Difference, where readers discover her protagonist, Rachel Granza, knee-deep in another genealogy project to search out the people who were the stand-in parents to her beloved grandpa when he was just a boy arriving in the United States from Italy.

Rich in Italian culture and filled with descriptions of food so realistic readers will be hard-pressed not to order in from their favorite Italian bistro, P.S. All the Difference is a story of love, family, and traditions not soon forgotten.

I was provided an early read of this book and would suggest reading The Difference first.

I devoured this novella within less than 24 hours! If you are looking for a book to read during a flight, a car ride, or a weekend vacation, this book is for you. Although this book is easily understandable to those who haven't read the Difference, I highly recommend still reading it to get the most out of your experience. This deliciously crafted story hooks you after the first bite and leaves you fulfilled and satisfied by the end. It's a lovely reminder that sometimes finding yourself begins with looking back.
