They hated him. They threw him in a pit. Can Joseph prevail?
Born into a large family of Oklahoman cattle ranchers, Joseph is his father Jacob’s favored son. Betrayed and beaten by his jealous brothers, the young teenager is rescued by the Midianites, a fearsome biker gang, who ultimately deliver him to the vast Pharaoh Ranch in Texas.
Enduring trials and tribulations, he earns the trust of the Pharaoh heir by interpreting his dreams of impending hardship. Entrusted with safeguarding the mighty estate, Joseph rises to prominence.
Eventually reunited with his family, he lives to see his sons and grandsons fight for both their family and the Pharaoh Ranch.

This was a solid read. I thought the author handled the modernization of a very old story quite well. The inclusion of the original text at the beginning of sections was a nice touch that helped set the stage for the modern events that followed. You don't need to be religious to appreciate how creatively the author adapted a well-known narrative for today's world.
