When Tristan’s mother is pregnant with a girl, he hates his unborn baby sister instantly.
She was not part of the plan, nor was his mother’s boyfriend. When she’s born, Tristan loathes his baby sister, Evie, a sibling he never asked for and one who is inferior to him.
Early on, he learns online that women have one to serve men. Tristan develops a peculiar habit involving his sister, and while he works hard to become a proper Chad, his sister’s mind is set on him and all he has to offer.
2 stars. Watching his family members unknowingly eat a portion of his body fluids gave Tristan a great feral feeling...
He was jealous of Evie, his half-sister, and hated her from the moment of her conception...
Tristan found a whole community of alpha males to connect with...
Incels...
They gave him clarity, and that online community unknowingly raised him...
He began feeding bits of himself to Evie and his mom. Bits of his body yuck, which he'd hidden in their food...
Mom was strictly a Becky (a woman below a Stacy in incel speak)...
Tristan's goal was to become a Chad...
He got bored sneakily feeding the family his various fluids, so his online contacts suggested feeding them his blood and bits of his meat...
Becoming a Chad was a lot of hard work, but then he met Alicia online, and she was a proper Stacy...
His goal was now worthwhile, and feral was the name of the game in getting there...
Give me a horror story that is atmospheric with things that go bump in the night as opposed to this kind of extreme horror.
I tend to judge all extreme horror by WOOM by Duncan Ralston. It had everything you would want in that genre, but it had a great plot and a fantastic ending.
This story was mainly shocking and gross and wasn't really going anywhere plot-wise, except for the small twist at the end. Mostly, I couldn't wait for it to be over.
Warning to some readers: gross content, vicious rape, and plenty of blood and excrement.
3.5 stars. This was written to be offensive and nasty, and it certainly was just that. Our resident ‘Chad’ going through all the motions to become an alpha male, which consisted of some very nauseating things. I enjoyed the progression of our lead and the brutal reality of what he was doing. Beyond that, the story sort of felt one note and coasted off the initial shock value of everything. The rough sexual content and ugly portions also felt very overdone and forced at times. I wanted some additional context to it all, with some better placement of the more extreme aspects of the story. Fans of splatterpunk and extreme horror will enjoy this for the most part, but it didn’t necessarily excel in any particular aspect.
This book was very entertaining, funny, gore filled and downright depraved. This book masters the true art of extreme violence and explicit graphic filled scenes.
This book is about Tristian who feels like an outcast in his own family ( rightfully so). He likes to cater to his family by giving himself, literally, and that takes a life of its own. I would recommend when you read this book do not eat anything during.
I like to consider myself having a strong stomach but reading this I gagged quite a few times and my stomach turned. Make sure you read all the triggers before indulge yourself in this book. This author has done a great job of grossing me out. I’ll definitely have to check out her other books.
Thank you Lesley, for the ARC and allowing me the opportunity to read this book before the release date 🖤
Rating and Book Review had been pending for awhile but the uncertainty is over and done. I do consider this an excellent example of splatterpunk and this short work really delivers extreme horror as cringewothy as any I have ever read. The writing style is very illustrative but also necessarily succinct due to the short length. I am overall generally impressed with this author's originality, clear aptitude for the subgenre, and skill with the execution of her ideas.
"Ingest Me" (The Communion Duet Book 1) posed an enigma to me in that I felt the Splatterpunk component was outstanding, as was the extreme horror that was deployed without reservations or boundaries to bring the dark belly of the story out into the daylight.
I almost never devote a long review to a short read but rules are sometimes meant to be suspended in unusual cases. This is also in consideration of reading the second book "Ingest Me Too" (The Communion Duet Book 2). My original notion of reviewing the works as a single book with one rating and review for the Duet did not prove to be possible. I did not feel it would be fair to stunt the easy elegance of the first part and its clear study of indoctrination of our youth on the internet coupled with an unhealthy dose of abnormal psychology affecting our children. The latter sometimes occurs in front of us and yet remains invisible until "the die is cast". The author does a genuinely exquisite job with the extreme horror elements as well. My issue with the well crafted cringewothy tale of terror is my inability to suspend belief. There were a couple of pesky issues with credibility that I was unable to satisfactorily resolve.
EXCELLENT SHORT WORK OF EXTREME HORROR BY CAMPHOUSE

This is disgustingly awesome! Eww! From page one, this book is delightfully disturbing. Tristian is a hot mess and needs therapy, stat! I'm excited to dive into the sequel and see where this wild ride takes me. Fellow horror fans, buckle up and enjoy the twisted journey, but don't say I didn't warn you about those triggers!
I’ve never been more grateful to be an only child.
This story? Disgusting. Revolting. Unsettling. And I loved every second of it.
Let's define some terms:
Incel: Someone who believes women owe them affection, fueled by entitlement and resentment. Chad: The so-called “ideal man” in incel culture, someone they simultaneously despise and wish to become.
Now, our protagonist? An unhinged, misogynistic, self-obsessed incel who really wants to become a Chad. But instead of, I don’t know, working on himself like a normal person, he decides to transform in the most grotesque way possible—by feeding parts of himself to his mother and younger sister, among other things. Yep. That’s all I’ll say.
It’s gross. It’s really gross. He finds help from a lovely gentleman on the internet on what to do, and our main character even shares his "recipes."
What truly stood out to me was the way his transformation unfolds—on point, deliberate, and disturbingly believable. And that ending? Absolute perfection.
Also, I’ve always liked cooking my own food, but after reading this? Yeah, I think I’ll stick to making my own meals FOREVER.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING... AND I MEAN ANYTHING... WHILST READING THIS SICK,DISGUSTING & VULGAR BOOK...You will thank me tremendously for this vital advice after you've finished it!! This book honestly brought vomit up into the back of my throat...I've never indulged in a book so fucking mind blowing with revolting and evil scenes.
The violence towards the end of the book was hard to take in and digest!!
There are MANY MANY triggers between the pages of this short book...be warned and tread carefully...it may offend a lot of readers?
I'm giving it 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐'s because it truly deserves it...as it's gross and offensive!
This book delivered exactly what it promised to: A disgusting shock-fest.
We follow Tristan, a young incel who hates his you his sister from the moment she is conceived. Over the years he develops a peculiar taste and gets off from women ingesting parts of him like toenails, cum, spit and blood.
It is exactly as it says to be. The book is Graphic, Dark, but surprisingly entertaining. It was so very gross, so if you're planning to read this, please consider your triggers. The story is pretty well written and very descriptive, though at some points it felt a little overdone. I would have liked a little more depth in Tristan's Psyche, but I always say that characters in a short novella are to be expected to be a little shallow.
The book also has a delightful little twist at the end.
All I can think is EW! This book is seriously gross, I was definitely making faces the whole time I was reading it. For how disturbing it was, I still couldn’t stop turning the pages because I needed to see how it ended. And honestly, I was really happy with the ending.
When Tristan’s mother becomes pregnant with a girl, he instantly hates his unborn baby sister. She wasn’t part of the plan just like his mother’s new boyfriend. When she’s born, Tristan despises Evie, a sibling he never wanted and sees as inferior. Early on, he learns online that women have only one purpose: to serve men. Tristan develops a disturbing habit involving his sister, and while he works hard to become a “proper Chad,” Evie’s mind becomes fixated on him and everything he represents.
4⭐️ Might be my favourite extreme horror book i’ve read, holy shit the ending lowkey had me shook, i hated every character in this yet o was still so invested
I started this one over breakfast. I didn't get far before I had to pause, because my breakfast quickly started tasting funny. It's weird because I know I prepared my food. I didn't add anything to it beyond salt and pepper, which I usually use, but today it's like the food has more taste to it that I can't pin down. I resumed reading, and I managed to get through a few pages, but there is that weird taste again. Wtf. I shoved my plate away in disgust. Did someone sneak inside the house and put something on my food when I was in the restroom for a couple of minutes? There's no one around. I started eyeing my dog suspiciously as she lick her bum clean. She felt my eyes on her and stared at me back. Our eyes narrowed at one another. She broke eye contact first. Hah, I knew it. Puppy must have done something to my food before I plated it. Or maybe she had let someone in the house who then tampered with my meal. Because who (or what) else could it be? Me, with my hyperactive imagination and sensory overload, eating my mildly salted and peppered food while I'm reading this very graphic and violent book?? Of course not. I'm not an idiot.
Tristan and his mom live together and he can't be any happier. His mom loves him and life is good. Until his mom brings in a man and becomes pregnant with a little girl. Tristan feels he's pushed to the side while he has to see the 3 of them live a happy life. To get revenge, he cooks them their meals every day and always adds in some special ingredients.
Tristan feels alone so he decides to turn to the internet for some friends. He finds forums of alpha males and he starts telling them what he feeds his family. Online, Tristan is loved and respected. The love he doesn't get from his mom, he receives online. It becomes an addiction, and that addiction takes a wild turn one day.
My stomach turned throughout this whole book. From spit to fungal toenails, to blood, this was disgusting in the best way! Tristan is a monster but I found myself feeling bad for him. Like any kid, they want to feel loved by their parents. Tristan was finding that love online and he grew to become a monster. I loved the bonus scenes in this and overall a great, sick story! If you're looking for a gross read, check out Tristans' story! Just don't accept a meal from Tristan, it might be a bit salty.
I don't even know how to put stars on something like this. Haha.
Rating this highly seems so wrong, but then it doesn't deserve a poor rating either. Please don't judge me for going with 5*. This story nailed being unhinged and disgusting, so it only felt right.
It is definitely extreme and probably one of the nastiest things I've read. I lost track of the amount of times I physically dry heaved. Pretty sure those were the kind of reactions that the author was going for, and if they were... then I would consider this a success!
How can you summarize this book except to say that it's a thrilling ride? It's about a young boy who's raised by his single mother. To skip ahead, at 10 years old, his mother is in a relationship and becomes pregnant. He feels intense resentment towards his sibling, thinking they're the reason for his mother's lack of interest, so he begins adding strange and disgusting ingredients to their food. As his anger grows, he develops a desire for them to die. And astonishingly, by the book's end, when he's 18, the events that unfold are unforeseen.
Does Lesley A. Camphouse deliver with this extreme horror novelette? Oh hell yes, in any possible way! 🔥I don’t know how she does it, but damn, she keeps you sucked in no matter how disgusting or f’ed it becomes and you won’t be able to put it down until the bitter end. 💪🏻
Tristan was a happy only child until his widow mother hooks up with another guy. A guy he calls Meathead, because of his excessive muscles. Long story short: They get pregnant and Tristan gets a little baby sister, company he didn’t ask for. He hates her from the moment she’s born and it happens the way he already predicted: he doesn’t get any attention from his mother anymore and feels totally replaced. Time for revenge!! 🔥
Tristan starts to feed his little sister and mother parts from himself, which he adds to the foods he serves them. Think in terms of spit, snot, toenails and earwax, but also other sorts of body fluids flow abundantly in this story and let me tell you he becomes really inventive. 🤢🤯😂
It was so funny, I laughed out loud multiple times and I enjoyed myself immensely. And whether you like it or not, every scene unfolds itself in your mind because of the perfectly developed descriptive writing skills of Lesley. 👌🏼😎 Shocking and revolting, but brutally awesome at the same time!🔥🤮😂
Highly recommended for extreme horror lovers! I’m so thrilled I found this author and I will keep reading every twisted thing she comes up with. 🖤
Fantastic foodie horror by Lesley. This truly makes your stomach churn and your face is scrunched in disgust the entire time you're reading it but it's bloody fabulous 👌🏻
Oh my god, everyone was so right about this book—AHHH it’s disgusting! I legit gagged and almost puked three times. And yet… I couldn’t stop reading?? What is actually wrong with me?!
eurgh! This was vile. All the characters deserved what they got apart from Alicia-i really felt for her. The writing and descriptions are visceral and si vivid you can smell it. if you're looking for gross out horror then this is for you!
