Rate this book
Zeus Sanders Basil is a god. As the president of his family’s founded motorcycle club, The Mount Olympus Riders, he is wanted by many but conquered by none. Being open to love doesn’t mean that you love foolishly. When a woman haphazardly finds her way to his mountain top, will he allow her to sit next to his throne as his goddess, or will she be sent back down to frolic with the peasants?

Dindi (Jin Jee) Aria Paulson is a woman that is heard not seen. When family secrets are unboxed, curiosity takes hold. They say that curiosity killed the cat. Well, it might just kill her too. Will there be someone to come to her aid, or will she be alone like she’s always been? When lightning strikes, it rarely strikes twice. The trek to the mountain top is steep. Will it be worth it for her?

3 stars because I really feel as if the author didn’t give us any justification or worthwhile explanation to the Daddy not telling his sons Jin was his child. Like all of this could’ve been avoided or handled better had he just spoke up. Like sorry he was a loser and should’ve died. Forgiveness doesn’t excuse his lack of engagement, protection or peace. Like after the first incident why was you allowing Jennifer to have any peace??

Yes, Mel another hit!! I am loving this series thus far. That damn Aaron was so selfish, and his ego was out of this world. Having everything at the palm of his hands still wasn’t enough, and karma came through and took what he “supposedly” cherished most. For this man to be as powerful as he was, with unlimited resources, he sure didn’t act like it! Jennifer was just doin’ too much, and you never thought to look into her? Never questioned anything and just went with it? That was your downfall! 😤

Dindi, was thriving in her life and career in California, until she wanted to make a change. Moving to her mother’s place in the south was her heart’s desire. While moving in she finds some information that piques her curiosity, and she decides to investigate it. Her first outing in her new town puts her in harm’s way when a jealous, evil bih lays eyes on her!!

Enter the Basil family who rescues Dindi and takes her under their protection. I love how they cared for her right from the start, and no one batted an eye when her disability was revealed. Meeting Zeus created a spark that became a full-on inferno quick as hell! Loved them together.

I couldn’t believe the lengths that Jennifer went through for a person who is not thinking about her!! She knew the deal with Aaron, but she was still on the “pick me” phase 26 years later! Her karma came but not swift enough for me! 🤬 Aaron had to take some losses in life, but glad he finally got his ish together. Really enjoyed getting to know the Basil family, and hope that we see them again soon.

Loved Dindi

This was a good read I enjoyed Dindi’s character and the fact that she was hearing impaired. Sis ability to turn off her cochlear and tune everyone out had me laughing. It irritated my soul that Jennifer got what she wanted even if she was miserable I wanted more misery for her lol. I suspected her little secret she wasn’t fooling anyone. I kind of felt like Zeus and Dindi relationship was rushed because there were so many key moments that happened off page that I would have loved to of read about like the getting to know each other stage. I loved how well off Dindi was before even meeting Zeus, sis was that girl and I loved it. Hades was funny I wouldn’t mind getting a spin off of him and Poseidon and Melody.

I'm an avid highlighter and note taker, this book sucked me in from page one. I didn't leave not one not and now im mad about it because there was so many highlightable moments. I'm bout to spoil tf out of this review. Harmony didn't deserve what she got. To love a man so deeply and for him not to value you when he got a taste of the fast life. Then for Arron to really not grow tf up after she died until the end of the book was mind boggling. Then to have not 1 but 3 kids with the lady you cheated with and marry her???? I was speechless. Then you knew that was your daughter and watched your wife push her in front of a moving vehicle. like dude...TRASH MUCH? I was so glad that she found Zeus. Dinde(GINGI) deserved to feel love that way and he didn't let up not once. There was no secret woman in the back nothing. He loved her with a pure whole heart. I loved the sense of family that they had and how the Greek culture and Mythology (which is my favorite) was mixed in. But back to her family. So thhhheeeeennnnnn the "WIFE" was so jealous of this woman that after she pushed her in front of a car she then doubled down and sent her son to kill his own sister and he decides he wants to try and rape her. Jesus be a fence all around me every day. The mess just kept messing and I finished this book in no time at all.

I really need some books on all of Zeus's siblings because I lovveed his family. Dindi's daddy could go to hell though. This was as messy as any other Mel Dau book and I ate it up.

(2.5⭐️) Zeus was great. Dinde wasn’t that bad either. I really wanted to see more of their story play out on page. It was so rushed I felt like because one page they’re flirting and the next page they’re in a relationship. Like how did we get here? There was a lot that happened in this story and it made me mad. Anyway, the potential was there and I could see why this would be a 4/5⭐️ read for some but it didn’t land for me.

struggled with my rating (spoilers)

The characters in this book were likable, but honestly I struggled with what I wanted to rate this installment. I went from 2 to 3. The author I assume tried to avoid providing a timeline for the events by putting things like “sometime later” or something close to that. For me it just made the line of events not make sense, which made me disconnect from the story a little. For off she says her mother had Covid and the flu while she was pregnant and that’s how she became deaf, but from the beginning of the book to the MFC becoming an adult it jumped 27 years later. Now that would make everything happen in 2047 since Covid was in 2020. Jin would be 30, but that is not the age range I got from the characters (again this could just be a me problem). Then she got clipped by the car like days after she got to her new state. Everything that happened had to have happened within a few weeks. The only timeline we have is her going to the hospital. The couple as usual without getting to know each other fell in love basically through us being told. We didn’t get to actually read about it. I mean all they did was have sex, and flirt and then BOOM they were in love.

The storyline was really good and that’s what kept me reading until I finished the book. The characters were ok and there were some laughable moments as well. I don’t like that Jen was able to get away with so much and still get everything she wanted. Although she was killed at the end she still was able to get everything she set out for. Plus the lady killed herself as well. 🤦🏿‍♀️🤦🏿‍♀️ All in all this was not a well written story imo, there was a lot missing and a lot being told but not shown.

I still think part 2 is the best book in this collection so far.

This was my first time reading Mel Dau’s work, and they say it only takes one book to get hooked—well, consider me all in! Zeus and Dindi’s (Jin Jee’s) story was such a beautiful journey. Even with all the chaos surrounding her, the love they built together was just so sweet.

Dindi has lived a good life—successful, surrounded by love—but there’s always been one missing piece: her father. She never understood why he wasn’t in her life, and now, in the town where she was conceived, she’s ready to get some answers. But things don’t go as planned, and her first attempt lands her in the hospital. Enter Zeus Basil—big, brooding, protective, and completely taken with her from the moment he lays eyes on her. As she heals, their connection deepens into something undeniable, even as she tries to hold back. But once she gets hurt again, Zeus demands the truth, and when he finally gets it? Whew, that fierce protector mode activated—he was never letting her go.

The Basil family? Loved them. Their loyalty to Dindi was unwavering, and when you add in the Mount Olympus Riders MC backing them up 300 deep? Say less! But listen, Aaron could have walked slowly into traffic two pages in, and I wouldn’t have batted an eye. And Jennifer? Let’s just say I was not mad about how her story ended.

And I can’t forget Dindi’s aunt Melody—that woman’s fiery, protective love for her sister was everything, and that same bond carried over into her relationship with Dindi.

Honestly, I could go on and on. This book had everything I love—romance, family, loyalty, and just enough drama to keep me glued to the page. If this is what Mel Dau is serving, I’ll take the whole menu!

🔥🔥🔥

I think this BLP Club book is my absolute favorite. Aaron not ready to settle down completely as well as.not willing to let Harmony go cause his life to spiral, one of his side pieces thought she deserved that title of being Queen despite everything she had done she would never be able to replace the love of his life his one and only wife even though he married her the respect he gave to Harmony would never be hers.
Not knowing everything Dindi wanted to have a relate with her father but that jealous side piece/wife wouldn't accept it and did everything in her power to keep them apart the last deceitful plan she orchestrated costed her son the only one of the three that openly showed her love, he needed help himself because something deep inside made him do things he shouldn't have but when she steered him on the path of his sister she had crossed the line.
So happy everything came out and Karma.got her in the end. The way Zeus made Finding feel giving her positive energy when it came to her disability he died care and he showed her in the way he responded to her in every way. The love he felt for her was indeed one of a kind and through this love she was able to be and remained happy as well as getting to know her brothers and father. Also enjoyed how Zeus siblings stood behind her hands down.

Zeus: Love of a God by Mel Dau was everything I didn’t know I needed. From the very first page, Zeus pulls you in with his presence strong, complicated, wounded, and layered in a way that makes him feel real, not just another brooding book boyfriend. His energy alone shifts the entire story, and whew… the way he loved was powerful, protective, healing, and deep. He truly embodied the title.

The storytelling was intense and emotional, balancing passion, pain, faith, and redemption in a way that kept me fully invested. This wasn’t just about attraction it was about learning how to love when life, loss, and trauma have shaped you.

Now let’s talk characters, because they did their job. Jennifer? I couldn’t stand her. Mean, bitter, and unnecessary every scene with her had my blood pressure up. And Aaron Sr.? Just plain stupid. Marrying the side chick and then allowing her to harm and mistreat your own daughter was unforgivable. That whole situation made me so angry.

Dindi, on the other hand, was incredibly sweet and pure. I just wanted to protect her the entire time. Her softness, resilience, and emotional strength made her so easy to root for, and her journey truly touched my heart.

Mel Dau did an amazing job creating a gritty yet tender world filled with characters that felt real and emotions that linger long after the last page. Zeus: Love of a God was powerful, heartfelt, and beautifully written. If you love emotionally charged stories with strong leads, deep growth, and a love that feels earned, this is absolutely a must-read.

Dindi was a str8 fool!!!! It was her internal monologues for me!! I loved her character and her energy.

With "Zeus", Mel Dau had a girl wanting sign up for a Rosetta Stone subscription so I wouldn't miss out on one of these black/greek MC gods riding round NC, Honies! They were raised right by Kronus 😉 and plentyful!

As with most of her books, there's a strong family background, a cause, or some educational aspect: in this case, the hearing impaired and of course sexual attractions a plenty 🔥🔥🔥.

Yall, seen that tiktok with the foot on a headboard and a foot on the bed so so u can see... 🤦🏾‍♀️

I'm just saying you don't name a man Zeus and don't expect him to bring it!

🎶" word around town is he nine men strong 💪🏿" or whatever Latifah said 🤣🤣

I completely see potential in this family. Lil brother Hades is currently for the streets. I look forward to seeing a book about him in the future!

I said what I said and as always: don't take my word for it. Read the book, form your own opinions, and support your authors! 🫶🏿📖👏🏾

Packs a Whole Lotta Story!

Although this book was "short" in pages, there was a LOT of story told as only Mel could tell it. Now if you are a fan of this authors work, you know it was set down south, but it appears that she took a page from Jahquel with these bikers who spoke a second language and have roots tied to NY. And, while this was NO Delgato and Inferno type of bikers book, it still my interest with so many things going on. I liked these characters- well, most of them; Jennifer was indeed a trash human, and I don't care who forgave Aaron, I didn't. Aside from them, that Basil crew was excellence in every way. I wouldn't be mad about a series for them at all. Overall, this storyline held my attention, and the main characters were very likeable. There were a few grammatical things; nothing too over the top. But one that continues to irk my nerves- it is MATRON of Honor when the woman is married folks- NOT Maid. What kind of editors let basic things like this pass?

Zeus and Dindi!!

Zeus and Dindi's relationship in the book made me feel good the whole time that I was reading about them. Zeus knew Dindi was his woman the first time he saw her, and he didn't wait to make her his. I loved the friendly kidnapping. 😊 The way that Zeus' family welcomed Dindi in was so heart-warming. I wanted to throat punch Jennifer. I didn't feel sorry for her or Cory because they both got what they deserved. I know the author is going to give us a book on Hades, but I hope we get books with the sisters as well. Hades had me laughing with some of the words coming out of his mouth. This book was so intriguing due to the emotions, trauma, drama, secrets and deceit with spicy love scenes and a deep and abiding love between Zeus and Dindi. I also enjoy how the author always educates us about some form of disability in her books and she didn't disappoint us with Dindi's. Dindi did not let her disability hinder her from pursuing the career that was family ordained. Another great Mel Dau book that I highly recommend!!

Zeus

This was a really good story. It had me intrigued from beginning to end and I couldn’t put it down. While there were some errors and some parts had me questioning the timeline of things, these things weren’t enough to take away from the overall enjoyment of the story.

Zeus did not play about his Jin. He was on her from the moment they met and they were so cute together. I also loved how his family just took her in and embraced her from the beginning. The love between these two was felt and had me smiling. I also loved how this author highlighted Jin’s disability but also made it like her superpower. Jin’s lack of hearing did not stop her from achieving her dreams and being super successful in her field.

Jin’s father had me looking at him sideways but he finally got it together. His wife was evil trash and that’s all that needs to be said about her. It was good seeing Jin get reunited with her father and get to know her brothers.

Now I loved this...

Damn this was a freaking immaculate story...dindi and her Greek God of a man...there meet though rough not due to each other was def cute... I will say dindi father, I couldn't stand his ass like the fuck, with his evil ass wife Jennifer. Now I didn't see the 2 plot twist and that def made for an interesting Segway. I loved the Basil family though, they were true ride or die for each other and the people they cared for. I think Dindi and her spirit were such a great thing she really was a open and sweet person just trying to gain some understanding...all the people who needed to be unalived were and I was good with that...honestly it was for the best. I am happy that everything was resolved with her dad and bros, and I can say that I love the incorporation of her being deaf and everyone learning ASL to communicate with Dindi, literally A1 representation ❤️

Dindi and Zeus, Love with No Sound

This book was an absolutely amazing read!!!…
My heart broke or Harmony and the way Aaron treated her!!!…I was upset that she didn’t have the opportunity to live her life because of the jealousy of her husband’s side piece!!!…
I love that Dindi and her cousin had such a strong relationship, that they leaned on each other after the loss of their last love one and made sure they were okay!!!…
Jennifer was rotten to the core and she got every single thing she deserved for her behavior!!!…How dare she set her son up or that type of failure!!!…The fact that she was having an affair & wasn’t worried about that man’s wife!!!…Well, Karma introduced herself!!!…
Zues and his family was an awesome circle and the care they gave to Dindi!!!…
I was happy Aaron opened up about everything, except how Dindi’s mom left this world!!!…

Girllllll

You know you stay providing great reads…and I love that for us. I got this done in less than a day and was mad I didn’t have more to read. I love your ability to introduce your audience to unexpected storylines from the plot to the characters. There is nothing like going on an emotional experience with your writing that keeps you so entertained you want to go back and read the book again just to experience it again. Intelligent, a boss, mixed heritage, family oriented, about that action, raised well, and knows what he wants when he see it and go after it = Zeus….oh, and FINE! what more can you want. Talented, confident, feisty, intelligent, a boss, and humble = Dindi…Aaron = super trash. Cory and his trifling mama aka trifling Hoe (or whatever her name was) = diabolical hell bound demons. I plan to read again in a few months and look forward to reading more.

Just read this book!

Really, there is nothing else to add if you know the weight behind Ms. Day’s pen. Zeus and Dindi were beautifully written. The sexy banter and the single minded drive to get his girl was bae and king like behavior. I especially loved how he only saw her and there wasn’t any side piece drama between them. Aaron was such a disappointment as a man. And Jennifer got just what she deserved. However, so much heartache that could have all been avoided if Aaron was a decent man. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone else, so please just get the book. Ms. Dau has written another masterpiece! Well done, Ms. Dau!
Please write Hades story. I just know he’s going to be a whole mess!

Zeus: Love Of A God (BLP Motorcycle Club Book 5)

Olympus High! Yes ma'am Zeus is truly a God in human form. From Jump, he was all about Dindi (JinJee). She stumbled into his life and stayed there. Mama Verne was also instrumental in getting them together. She friendly kidnapped her and the rest is history.

Jennifer was a piece of work. She manipulated everyone and everything. She got her "just desserts" when Connie found out about her and Jordan. Aaron was a Le to repair his relationship with Dindi and finally make Harmony proud of him.

Mel Dau always does her big one in a story. Her characters are beautifully flawed and layered perfectly. I'm not reading the series in order, however I'm starting with my favorite pen pushers first.

Zeus:Love of a god

Zeus showed why is THAT MAN!!! I wanna point out that I live how Mel takes disabilities & create magic. It made me want to refresh my ASL! The fact that he learned on his own so that he can communicate with Jin was amazing & loving! Jin didn’t let her disability stop her life she was just highly selective! Aaron wasn’t a man man but when he got it together he showed the great qualities that Harmony must have fallen in love with. The curves balls that was thrown & caused by from Jennifer was beyond me! She deserved worse in my opinion. This book gave the right amount of drama & love!

Mel Dau is always gonna do it for me!

Once I read my first book of Mel’s I was hooked. Immediate download and always a 5 ⭐️ everytime. Dindi was hilarious, my girl was gonna keep the cochlear off ok? 😂 I loved how confident and honest she was. Mel has talent ok cause her FMC and MMC are gonna have such depth & so much personality that she creates in the shortest amount of time, even with it being a novella I never feel like it’s incomplete. She builds a story so fully. Zeus was book bae for sure and I loved how protective and amazing he was to and for Jin. Kudos as always Mel!!

Awesome Read

Dindi was an awesome person wan amazing spirit. Jennifer with her jealous and hateful spirit tried hard to hurt her, but it never worked. Karma was most definitely real for her demise. Aaron could have been a better person to Harmony and Dindi in the beginning. Moving to North Carolina was good for Dindi in more ways than one. Meeting Zeus and his family was great for her. Her initial introduction wasn't the best, but they took awesome care of her. That family was crazy about Jin and Melody. Both ladies found their forever from a tragedy, but it was worth it! Awesome read!

jealousy makes for ugly outcomes

Mel Dau keeps you invested that you don’t want the story to end….this starts with young love that Aaron loved Harmony and allowed his f-boy attitude to ruin her love for him but he learned a hard lesson…in comes Dinji his estranged daughter who’s just wants the love of her dad but others have devious intentions…Now Zeus wasn’t looking for a relationship but he found it with Dinji and neither held back…this book had love, drama, and a delusional jealous woman wii his itch made for son good reading… I would love to read about all the siblings and just maybe let Aaron find some love

5++⭐

Yoooo, the should have let Mel Dau go last with this MC Book because she broke it with Zeus and Dindi. Baby the treachery of Jennifer left everyone in shambles. I knew from the beginning she would be a headache and a problem and more. The way she did Dindi, everybody should have bodied her right then and there. Zeus was all about Dindi from the moment his mom had him pick her up from the hospital. I loved this union, the entire Basil Clan, and Dindi getting to know her dad and siblings. If you don't read any of the BLP MC's definitely read this one. After 5 books I need to know where they find these models at?? Happy Reading Y'all! 💋

Nice very nice

This standalone is lit. Jennifer was on one want Arron so bad that she killed his wife and then tried to kill and harm his daughter when she got grown. All for a man that didn't have no love for her at all. I'm glad babygirl met Zeus and he and his family was her protector to the end. I'm glad her dad grew up and became a man to try and be in her life along with his two sons. U did good on the first book that I read and I'm looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read

Protect your love ones

Mel, you did your big one with this book. It is the first one I have read written by you, but know I was engaged from beginning to end.

The was I loved Harmony and Kadence in the beginning did not disappoint. Then to follow them up with Dindi and Melody. Yeah, girl power. Aaron old weak self. I wish Zeus had to put more hands on him. Jennifer, let us not speak of delusional psychotic.

This book was it. I wish it could get expanded on, but the coverage I did receive was not lacking.
