Besides, when he is the King of New York and her father dies eventually, he will no longer need this woman.

I have been writing since childhood and finally published my debut novel, Dakota in 2020.
My other passions include biking, running and rock climbing. I am an avid reader of multi-genres.
I also travel extensively having visited some amazing places including the High Atlas Mountains and The Alps in Chamonix.
I love languages and currently speak German, Russian, Catalan and Spanish.
I live in Spain with my four cats (all of which feature in my children's book about a cat named Boris), my life-partner and my adorable Chihuahua.

omg 😱

Kerry girl…. Imma need that 2nd book you can’t just leave me hanging like this 😩.

This book was 10/10 definitely recommend! The plot is amazing! Detail to characters and details about the places they are at are phenomenal. Lucky is a spunky little thing lol. Nico starts out kinda harsh but then he turns into someone who loves and loves hard. I for sure saw the “bad guy” (that’s all I will say to not give anything away lol) was the assistant not who it turned out to be that was a shocker!! This book had so many highs and even highers lol. It was a fun roller coaster ride for sure!!!

Lucky a mafia princess, has just recently been arranged to marry another rival mafia's Don; Nico Santangelo. Neither can stand each other, but if Nico wants to become king of NYC he needs this partnership to work. What he doesn't plan for however is the danger towards his finacee Lucky and just how insane it is making his head and his heart. As he tries to manage problems within his family business along with finding who is trying to harm her, he starts to realize just how much she means to him and how he would do anything to protect her. Lucky on the other hand can not stand Nico and tries everything in her power to get away from him. She can't stand the thought of being kept away and not getting to marry for love. After quite a few scary situations happen she finally starts to see that he might actually mean something to her and it scares her deeply. But right when we think we might be finding the person in charge of wanting to harm Lucky.... boom plot twist oh and if that wasn't bad enough we get left with a cliff hanger. Sigh I guess I will have to wait until book 2 to find out what is going to happen.

This was a fun read and I really did enjoy it. Thank you Kerry Kennedy for allowing me to read this ARC. And as always this review contains all of my own thoughts and opinions.

Dark Obsession by Kerry Kennedy is one of those books that keeps you hooked from the start. It’s packed with suspense, a little romance, and just the right amount of mystery to keep you guessing. The characters feel real, the tension is high, and every twist makes you want to keep reading. If you love a dark, addictive thriller, this one’s worth picking up.

Mafia romance with an arranged marriage!? Say no more!

I fall for these books every time because not only is there love and connection eventually by the MMC and FMC, but there is usually some action and/or need for protection.

I love the suspenseful aspects of Dark Obsession and cannot wait for book 2 of the King of New York Mafia series.

The slow burn was way to slow for me. I enjoy a good show burn but this felt like to much. Overall it's a good read. The writing is good l great. If you love show show burns this one is for you.
