My mate is captured. My kingdom has fallen. And my enemies? They have no idea I’m coming to destroy them all.

My entire life, I believed I had no magic. But during our battle with King Dargan, my power erupted, showing the world the magic inside of me. Light magic sparked by my acceptance of myself and my mate.

Leaving Kade behind was a nightmarish kind of torture, but as the darkness overtook him, he begged me to run, so I did. Now, with Kade’s life in Thames’s hands, I must return home to win back my kingdom, gather an army, and find a way to save the only family I have left.

Trapped for a thousand years, Thames is prepared to rule us all. His darkness is spreading, creating more dark ones by the minute, and a secret weapon threatens to give him the victory he so desperately desires.

It's not just my kingdom at stake, but all of Atheria. Every last one of those responsible for the deaths of my loved ones is about to pay in blood. This battle will decide our fate. Will we survive and live in the light, or will the darkness destroy us for good?

It all comes down to this. For Atheria, we fight.

Crowns of Fate is the final book of The Broken Prophecy Series, a slow burn, NA / adult romantasy. Readers are encouraged to review the list of content notes inside before diving into this shadow daddy meets stabby FMC fantasy romance.

I had the absolute joy of diving into an early copy of this one. I honestly don’t even know where to start. This series has brought me endless happiness, laughter, and tears….and I can’t believe it’s truly over.

Crowns of Fate was everything. Illiana’s growth since the very first book has been incredible to witness, and I’m so damn proud of our girl. She’s been through so much, and while it broke my heart to see her struggle, every hardship shaped her into the powerful woman she is now.

And her relationship with Kade? Absolute perfection. The love they share is the kind that stays with you…epic, fierce, and so beautifully written. That man makes me swoon every single time he opens his mouth.

Ian, Kalliah, Storm, Corbin, Leif, Jax, and Raya…what a found family. The ride or dies everyone dreams of having. Loyal, chaotic, and full of heart right until the very end.

I didn’t just finish Crowns of Fate…it finished me. I cried, I laughed, I raged, I swooned. It’s one of those finales that makes you feel everything. I was constantly on edge, devouring every page, my heart racing one moment and melting the next.

Anna and Helen…thank you. Watching your passion, dedication, and love for these characters shine through every word has been an absolute gift. I’m in awe of what you’ve created. These characters have my whole heart, right alongside you two. This is everything you’ve worked for, and it shows 🖤

To say I have been waiting for this book for what feels like forever may seem like an exaggeration, but as someone who was fortunate enough to read the second book as an ARC, I have been waiting for this conclusion for some time. Finally being able to get the rest of these characters story was something my heart needed, but my soul wasn’t entirely ready for.

Crowns Of Fate picks up exactly where Shadows left off and there is so much up in the air about how Lana and Kade will find their way back to each other. The build up is brilliant, right from the start and draws you into the despair Lana has at losing her mate.

Anna and Helen did such a fantastic job with conveying the emotions all these characters are experiencing throughout the book. It’s multi-POV, so you get so much more dimension with everything that’s going on in Atheria. You not only get Kade and Lana’s perspective, you also get insight from Ian again, and that just helped the story feel so much more well rounded throughout the entirety of the book.

This is the third and final book in The Broken Prophecy series and with that comes a lot of answers; Not all of which are pleasant. There were parts that had me giggling and fist pumping with excitement and then there were parts that felt like I was being raked over hot coals. The level of crying I achieved at one point had me gasping for breath and I felt like my heart had exploded into a million tiny pieces. I didn’t know how I was going to be able to finish reading when I was so completely destroyed. That is the mark of fantastic writing. When you have been reduced to nothing but ugly tears and shallow breaths, but still need to know how things are going to pan out. The plot twists weren’t things I could have even hoped to figure out. And they were plentiful!

Ultimately, I think this may have been my favorite book in the series. Despite the fact that it absolutely decimated my heart, it put me back together in the end and left me with a beautiful feeling of closure. Did it hurt like Hell? It 1000% did, but it was so worth it in the end. Infinite stars for this epic series and these characters!

I was not quite prepared for how Crowns of Fate would make me feel. From the first page I was holding my breath with anticipation waiting for the heartbreak.

The finale is an emotion driven journey full of quiet moments that tug at the heart. The weight of the choices that have been made since the beginning are layered with whispered confessions, hopeful vows, and unspoken fears.

Aetheria feels almost sinister with the darkness spreading and the prophecies promising a final stand. The heavy atmosphere carries an emotional, nervous tension that kept me on the edge of my seat.

Lana’s journey to become who she is meant to be destroyed me. Her arc feels intimate laced with uncertainty, fear, and the burden of responsibility. Her refusal to break no matter the circumstance had me rooting for her the hardest.

Kade’s internal war in this book snuck up on me. He is fighting his own darkness while simultaneously trying to protect everyone he loves. He clings to his bond with Lana like a lifeline to bring him back from the darkest parts of himself.

The found family moments weaved throughout provides a much needed light in the darkness – a theme we see a lot of in this finale. The unwavering loyalty and humor filled banter balances out the restless undertones.

By the time I reached the end of the book I was a mess of feelings. Saying farewell to characters I have come to love is bittersweet, and I am so thankful to have witnessed their journey.

Feelings turning the last page: OH MY GOODNESS MY HEART!!!!! A perfect ending to the series 😭😭😭

Review: What a fantastic conclusion. Through Kade, Lana, and Ian’s POVs we get the development and preparation towards a final battle. All the moving parts kept me on the edge of my seat and I was so intrigued to see what was going to happen!!! I absolutely loved Lana’s growth over the series and their whole found family is definitely one of my favorites 😭😭. We get moments of humor and also moments of grief and heaviness; it’s a beautiful balance. The romance is absolutely top tier with multiple relationships and I wholeheartedly recommend this series to any Romantasy lover!!!

I’m in denial that this series is over, I loved it so much! One of my all time favorite series that will keep you hooked from beginning to end!

After recovering from my heart breaking in book 2, it was so nice to see how Lana has grown into the Queen she was always meant to be. Watching her character development unfold from book 1 until now was so beautiful to see.

This book was a rollercoaster of emotions and I loved every minute of it.

Crowns of Fate by Anna Applegate and Helen Domico
Broken Prophecies Series Book 3 (final book!)
Releases 12/2!

Thank you to Anna and Helen for entrusting me with an early copy!

Multiple POVs, mental health rep, found family, strong FMC, dagger wielding light mommy, fated mates, morally grey shadow daddy, his shadows love her, banter, prophecies, multiple romances, feminine rage, enemies to lovers, secret identity, fae and shifters, one horse, monsters, epic battles, touch her and find out, he calls her little rebel

Oh man this series! I love the characters so much! The pacing was great with moments of love and triumph even while they are racing for the epic battle to save the world. But oh my gosh. The emotional devastation. Anna and Helen definitely twisted the knife a few times, but this was such a fantastic end to this series! I can't believe it's over, but I can't wait to see what these two write next!

✨Crowns of Fate✨

A finale to a Romantasy trilogy that has a dedicated shadow daddy, fated mates, mental health rep, fantastic found family, and one of my favorite platonic friendships, Crowns of Fate gives us every emotion and then some.

Starting right where we left off from book 2’s cliffhanger, we continue to follow the POVs of Lana, Kade, and Ian. As war finally arrives within two kingdoms, they must claim Lana’s kingdom from the advisor who tortured her and Ian then defeat the now released Thames, who is the puppeteer of it all. Lana continues to grow into herself through these pages as a new prophecy arises- one that has a requirement most painful. Will she pick her kingdom over her heart?

There were giggles and tears throughout this book as we experienced many ups and downs, hopeless and selfless moments. Anna and Helen brought the conclusion together beautifully and I loved the plot twist at the end. Getting to see our found family find their places and their people was also a delight.

Tropes you may find in COF are shadow daddy MMC, soft yet fierce FMC, mental health rep, found family, banter, multi romance, fated mates, elemental magic, medium spice, fae, mythical creatures, and prophecies.

It has been a joy to arc read this entire trilogy. Thank you so much, Anna & Helen. I can’t wait to see what comes next from you both!

Crowns of Fate is book 3 in the Broken Prophecy series and picks up where book 2 left us. Be prepared for an emotional a roller coaster as Lana and Kade continue to try to save the world from darkness. You will experience joy, laughter, anger, and emotional heartbreak.

Our same lovable, family of characters are back again helping fight for Atheria and their found family. Their love for each, their emotional depth, and character growth they have shown is phenomenal. Their love banter provides comedic relief during the heavy times, but the support they show each other throughout will make you wish they were your besties. Their love last 15% had me biting my nails and wanting to throw my book across the room.

Crowns of Fate is plot heavy but does have spice. The world is creative and the writing immersive. This truly was the perfect conclusion to this trilogy and I have loved every second of reading this series.

2 Chili? Maybe 3

This final installment of the Broken Prophecy series was the perfect conclusion. It was everything. I laughed and I cried and I went on an emotional journey!

This wrap up of the story gives multiple POV's which I love. It's always great seeing through the character's eyes. You get deeper insight into them and how their character arc is going.

Lana really comes into her own in this book and to see her evolvement from book 1 is pretty cool to see. Honestly all of them. Helen and Anna did a great job of each person's character arc's and you fall in love with all of them, even the ones introduced in Book 2.

There is everything to love in these books.

Enemies to lovers
Magic
Prophecy
Magical Beasts
Fae
Spice
Bad a$$ FMC's
Shadow Daddy
Shifters
found family

It has everything you want and more. I loved all of it.

5/5🌟
This Romantasy series has it all. The found family is chefs kiss perfection. I ADORE them! Fated mates (cough cough more than one set) hello! The magical creatures are amazing! This series finale has everything. There’s battles, intrigue, prophecy, open door spice 3/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️, and there’s loss. Prepare yourself. We’re gonna take some losses but please keep going because it is so so worth it!! The amount of growth and healing the characters go through in this book. Ugh. It’s so good. Seriously you are going to love this series if you love a good found family, prophecy, fated mates, shadow daddy Romantasy. Dont sleep on this.

Some of my favorite quotes:

“We wouldn’t survive this if I let myself act this way, if I hurt those around me because I was hurting.”

“We’re in this together. I refuse to allow you to believe you’re anything other than worthy. Now let’s go save your people.”

“You never needed magic to be worthy. You were a force before this, but now? My love, you are the light to my dark. The good to my evil. And nothing and no one will ever stand in your way again.”

Jax coughed, covering up a wheeze. “This is about to get really uncomfortable for you two.” 🤣 (I’m telling you that you are going to love this found family!)

“You’re not there anymore,” she whispered, wrapping her arms around me. “You’re here, with me. Real as roses.” I squeezed my eyes shut. “Real as roses,” I repeated. There had been too many times we’d brought each other out of the dark.

“You don’t need a king, Illiana,” he whispered against my lips. “But I will stand by your side in whatever way you’ll have me. I’m yours.”

“Whether in this world or the next, Little Rebel, you will always be mine.”

“In all the forevers to come,” I answered.

Congratulations Anna & Helen and Happy Release day for Crowns of Fate!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the third and final book in this series and they do NOT hold back!! I was kindly given an eARC to read and to say I’m wrecked is vastly underplaying how hard I cried at the end of this book. I still have the headache from it!

The amount of heartbreak they fit not only in a series, but just one book, blows my mind! I was seriously afraid for every character that I loved and some of that was justified. I’m sitting here thinking about the amount of emotional heartbreak Lana specifically went through (and us as readers with her), the choices she had to make, and the growth that she went through because of all that and I am unwell…and probably not as good of a person as she is because I don’t know if I could’ve made those same choices. 😬 This beautiful found family that Anna & Helen constructed is chaotic, loyal, and simply perfect. I adore Kade, but Storm stole my heart in this book for sure! I don’t know if they could’ve written a better series conclusion because this had it ALL and I think anyone who doesn’t read this series or quickly devour this book will be missing out on the BEST and MOST heart wrenchingly beautiful story! Also, I would now like a Strox for Christmas!

I’ve been impatiently waiting for this book, and I was lucky enough to be an arc reader for it!

This was the perfect ending to the series. I laughed, I cried, I kicked my feet. It was everything. The emotional journey COF takes you through is something, but so worth it in the end! I loved the multiple POVs and getting the story through other characters eyes. I’m obsessed with Kade (no, not just because he’s a shadow daddy 😂) and Lana and their growth over the series.

This is definitely a series you finish and immediately want to reread!

A bittersweet and beautiful conclusion to this 3 book series, this final book has me riding exciting highs and feeling the most devastating blows and took me on an emotional roller coaster in the best way!

I cannot believe this series is over, this book picks right back up were the previous left off, with Kade in the hands and under the influence of Thames and Lana and the gang doing what they can to get her kingdom back, rescue him and free the world from the dark influence.

There is action and adventures around every turn in this book, with plenty of battles and rallying of the troops that allows for the overlap of many of the characters all finally being together! I love getting to see them all interact and the forming of bonds between characters from the start to new ones even introduced in this book and that Lana’s found family keeps expanding. This does come at a cost though that sometimes people will risk themselves for her benefit and lead to some heartbreaking losses. I also loved getting to explore more into the side characters romantic relationships between each other (I’d love an Ian and Raya book!) as well as exploring the way Lana and Kade use their bond to overcome his darkness. Overall this book had me feeling all the feelings and was an epic conclusion to this series! My rating 4.8/5!

Thanks to the author and crowns and chaos pr for the gifted arc, all opinions given are my own!

Completed Romantasy Series

Thank you for this ARC and the chance to review this heart-stopping conclusion to The Broken Prophecy series, Crowns of Fate. I can confidently say now that this entire series encapsulates all the themes and tropes I love in the romantasy genre.

First off, let’s give authors Anna and Helen a round of applause for including a recap for readers! The story of Lana and Kade is forever stamped on my heart, but it was so helpful to be reminded of some important plot points.

Saying goodbye to this series was difficult but also heartwarming with how the story concluded. Book one centered on the deadly marriage trials, and book two dug deeper into the lore of the prophecy. Crowns of Fate follows Lana as she steps fully into her destiny and magic to defeat evil for good. She encounters plenty of obstacles that feel high stakes right up until the very end of the book. I remember getting to about 85% and thinking, How are they going to wrap this up? I’m stressed!

Throughout the series, we learn so much about Lana and Kade, but their found families also get more background in this book. Like Ian! More Ian! The prophecy introduced in book one comes full circle here, leaving me with a real sense of closure.

Congrats to Anna and Helen on completing your first series together. I’m already looking forward to whatever you dream up next.

Man this series was amazing! Every book kept me on my toes. Not knowing what was gonna happen. I was in a trance the entire time.

I was so excited to see the villain get their due. Like ABOUT TIME! lol. I also love we got to watch other fall in love. Hearing their POV was amazing.

If you love shadow daddies, multiple POV, found families, battles, mental health reps, touch her and ☠️, then this is definitely for you. I will definitely be buying the physical copies. I need to reread this again.

I went into Crowns of Fate with very high expectations, partly because I enjoyed Blooms of Darkness and Shadows of Ruin as much as I did, but mostly because the ending to Shadows of Ruin… well, ruined me. Anna and Helen did not let me down. I couldn’t stop reading and Crowns of Fate brought out every imaginable emotion. Laughing, crying, happiness, utter sadness. In the end, I am completely satisfied with the way the book ended and am so glad that I gave The Broken Prophecy series a chance when Anna reached out to me what feels like years ago. This series is very special and the characters will worm their way into your heart. I am not kidding about the sobbing, though. You have been warned.

Anna & Helen, you have done it! Just when I thought you couldn’t surprise me or render me speechless, you managed to do so with this incredible final installment! I am so incredibly proud of both of you! For the late nights, the long hours, the missed moments with family, the rushed deadlines - YOU FREAKING DID THE DAMN THING!

𝑪𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑭𝒂𝒕𝒆 was everything I wanted and more! This book was yet another that while I devoured it, it also sucked me in and devoured me. The devastating and emotional heartbreak, the torment and agony, the sacrifices made, the action packed battles, the unrelenting growth of Lana, the reconnection of unwavering love, the incredible found family and the hilariously fantastic banter - every bit left me with so many emotions. Anna and Helen did such a magnificent job of wrapping up all the pieces throughout this series. While we get our happy ending they do a damn good job at putting us through the emotional wringer along the way. This book makes you feeeeel, on so many different levels.

The world is vivid and imaginative and makes you feel like you’ve stepped right into Atheria!
The characters are so well crafted. They are believable and lovable and make you want to be part of their endearing found family. And the magnificent banter will leave you giggling and kicking your feet with joy!

Oh how I’m going to miss every single one of these characters; but I take heart in the fact that I can revisit them in their world any time I choose!

Words cannot describe the amount of emotions I had while reading this book. Not only was it just an incredible read, but it was also the perfect conclusion to this series. It’s hard for me to put into words how much I loved this book. I adored Lana and Kade from the beginning, but the way the side characters stole my heart in this series blew me away! Found Family is one of my absolute favorite tropes and Crowns of Fate more than delivered. This series includes multiple prophecies that connect each book to the next, banter that had me laughing out loud, swoony love stories, epic battles, character growth/development, and emotional damage that tore me apart and put me back together all at once. If you are a fan of Romantasy, this book is a must read! What an epic conclusion to one of my all-time favorite series! This book and the series overall changed my life. I am forever grateful to the authors for introducing me to this world.

I wanted to take my time reading this final installment because I knew when it was over, I’d be devastated—and as soon as I read the words The End, I sobbed. I’ve been waiting (somewhat patiently) for this conclusion, and it was everything I hoped for and more.

This book wrecked me in the best way possible. I had several anxiety attacks, cried (wept, sobbed) at least four times, and literally shouted “YEAH!” so loud my husband came running to check on me. I laughed, I raged, and then I cried some more. I felt so many emotions in one story, but this book earned every single one.

Kade and Lana were perfection—the balance of light and dark, fierce and tender. The added touches of new romance throughout were a gift, and Ian finally getting his chance at love might have been my favorite surprise of all. I only wish we’d seen a bit more for Storm! Still, the entire cast brought me so much joy (and so much stress) as I tried to predict what might happen next.

This was the perfect ending to a truly unforgettable series. I’m thankful for the happily ever after, and for the authors who poured so much heart and love into these books and characters. The Broken Prophecy Trilogy will stay with me for a long time. 💔✨

This was such a great conclusion to the trilogy!

All 3 books were 5 stars for me!

It wrapped everything up and while it still took you through quite an adventure (and heartache), it was also filled with small and large moments of joy and love. The best friendships! I love Lana and Ian's friendship so much and how they are just 100% there for each other.

Lana and friends have to save Kade from Thames, as well as save the world. They work together so well and are just the greatest group of characters. The writing is so easy to follow and the characters are so enjoyable that even without rereading (finished book 2 about 8 months ago), I still remembered basically everything that happened and if I didn't, THERE IS A RECAP IN THE FRONT OF THE BOOK!! I loved that so much as a refresher.

It was so satisfying seeing some certain characters get what they deserve *cough Andras cough* and watching Illiana really come into her powers.

The romances were great too! Lana and Kade are always so good together (when things are going right), and we even get to see Ian get a love interest! Plus, another relationship that I'll keep secret to not spoil.

Read if you love:
-Shadow daddy
-Multiple POVs
-Multiple romances
-Battles to save the world
-Found family

Thank you to the authors for the eARC. My thought are entirely my own.

Thank you so much to Anna Applegate and Helen Domico for the ARC of Crowns of Fate! This book was EVERYTHING. From the very first page, I was completely hooked — I laughed, I cried, I screamed, and I loved every single minute of it. It took me on such an emotional rollercoaster in the best possible way.

Every time I thought I knew where the story was headed, another twist knocked the wind out of me — and honestly, I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I made so many reader noises along the way, especially whenever Kade called Iliana “Little Rebel” (I’m obsessed). I had a ton of favorite characters in this one (and maybe two I wasn’t the biggest fan of 👀), but every single one brought something to the story.

This book had everything I love in a romantasy — fae, fated mates, found family, and that perfect touch her and die energy. With its multi-POV storytelling and non-stop emotional intensity, Crowns of Fate kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The ending left me feeling so satisfied and was the perfect close to a series I’ve loved from beginning to end.

🌶 Spice: Chapters 11, 25, and 37

If you love fantasy stories that blend high stakes with deep emotion and unforgettable characters, Crowns of Fate is absolutely worth the read.

Crowns of Fate is the breathtaking conclusion to The Broken Prophecy trilogy, picking up right after the dramatic events of the second book. From the very first page, I was completely immersed - I simply couldn’t put it down. The prologue, much like in the first book, begins with the seer’s perspective, setting a tone of mystery and anticipation that carries through the entire story. What follows is an exhilarating journey, from the takeover of Brookmere to the climactic showdown with Thames to free Atheria.

The narrative is rich with symbolism and clever callbacks to earlier books, which kept me deeply invested. The seers and their cryptic prophecies maintained an air of suspense, while themes of sacrifice and duty toward the kingdom were portrayed with remarkable depth. I loved how nature itself seemed to rise in support during the most crucial moments - it was both unexpected and powerful.

Character development was one of the strongest aspects of this book. Illiana’s transformation from self-doubt to a confident queen who leads an army into battle was inspiring and beautifully written. Kade’s unwavering support and his struggle with his own darkness added emotional weight to the story. The surprise twist involving Lucien was a pivotal moment that elevated the stakes, and the justice served to Andras was immensely satisfying. Every character had a meaningful role to play, and the authors tied up all loose ends from the previous books seamlessly.

The battle sequences were executed with cinematic precision - I could vividly picture every moment. The final scenes, filled with sacrifice and heartbreak, utterly devastated me. I cried through much of the sequence (iykyk), and felt deeply satisfied by the time I turned the last page.

One thing I couldn’t stop thinking about was Ian and Raya. Their dynamic had so much tension and unspoken emotion that I would have loved a spin-off just to explore their angst further! That subplot added an extra layer of intrigue for me.

Overall, Crowns of Fate is the perfect conclusion to an epic trilogy. It delivers on every promise, leaving readers both heartbroken and fulfilled. If you love romantasy with rich world-building, compelling characters, and high-stakes drama, this series is an absolute must-read.

I had a tough time getting through this book due to being in a book slump, but I'm trying to not let that affect my review! During the first half, I struggled to really get into the book, it felt really slow and there were obstacles in the plot that the MC's seem to overcome way too easily. The second half of the book went much easier for me.
I will note that the amount of spice in this book seemed fairly low. But it kinda fits right in with how busy the MC's are during the story. So it felt like natural timing rather than forced.
I kinda guessed what was coming near the end during the big battle, but goodness, I was not expecting to bawl my eyes out just about the whole last 10% of the book! 😭 The loss was heartfelt and believable, and just broke my heart!
Be aware, this is one of those fantasy books that has occasional modern language throughout. Personally, it bothers me just a bit because it feels too childish when someone says something like "extremely cool portal powers" in a fantasy setting. (That's just one example)
Overall, I was very satisfied with the ending to this lovely series! I don't think it will appeal to serious fantasy readers, but I think most romantasy readers will enjoy it!

First and foremost, thank you Anna and Helen for letting me ARC read your precious baby! I’m truly grateful!

I’m at a total loss of words for this book in the best way. Crowns of Fate wrapped up the series so beautifully and created a perfect ending. I laughed, I cried, I was angry and baffled then cried some more. The amount of tears shed out of sadness and joy is just cruel from these amazing authors, and this series will definitely be recommended to anyone who will listen😅
