Huge thank you to NetGalley for this kindle ARC. It was my first ever ARC and I will always remember this book and opportunity to read early.
This was sooo bloody cute and refreshing!! Who knew that I needed to read about a devilishly handsome rugby player and a determined girl battling with gyne problems?!? This story hit so close to home with health issues and marrying my own rugby player who takes care of me ❤️
I related to Gabi so easily and my god did I fancy Lucas….what a man!!
Getting to know the other characters was fun too and I hope to read more about Henry and Amy in the future. She was the sassiest and funniest 9 year old and I utterly adored her.
I thought the story was so unique, and women’s health is not talked about enough (although more now than previous years). It is so relatable and refreshing for readers to see these topics covered in sexy, spicy, romance books.
This was a really great time 👏🏼

Fake A Chance On Me is the final book in The Bulls Rugby Series. While this is a swoony hot sports romance, the characters have a lot of depth, and Rebecca doesn’t shy away from some difficult topics. FACOM follows Gabi as she sets a goal to achieve. She’s lived her adult life in the shadows of her syndrome, but it’s time that changes. As she (quite literally) stumbles into Lucas’s world, she decides he’s the perfect candidate to help her achieve her goal - even if it does mean some fake dating.

It was great to see previous characters popping by, and it led to the perfect ending to this series. Fake A Chance On Me is a great mix of sweet and sexy.

Okay so confession… I hadn’t read the first two books in the series before picking this one up 👀 and honestly, the first few chapters had me a bit lost with all the name-dropping — who was dating who, who was related to who — it was a lot. I think if I’d read the earlier books I’d have been fine, but as a standalone it took me a minute to get my bearings.

✨ Gabi stole the show for me. I found myself rooting for her every single time she slowly started standing up for herself — by the end I was like yes girl, finally! Her handling of her diagnosis absolutely tugged at my heart, but also had me yelling “just tell your sister already!!” because watching her deal with it alone was painful.

⚡ Lucas… oof. I was so conflicted. Sometimes I adored him, other times I wanted to shake him. He did grow on me though, and by the end I got why he was the love interest — but I also understood why Gabi’s sister didn’t trust him at first.

🏉Trope-wise, it’s your classic fake dating sports romance — flirty banter, chemistry, a bit of angst. Heads up: there is a third-act breakup (not my favorite thing), but they don’t drag it out too much so it didn’t ruin the payoff.

⭐ Overall: cute, tropey, emotional in parts, and definitely one for fans of sports romance + fake dating. If you’ve read the first two books, I think you’ll get even more out of it!

Thank yo9u to Netgalley for a chance to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Fake a Chance on Me absolutely nails everything I want from a fake dating sports romance. Rebecca Chase brings the perfect mix of chemistry, banter, and heart, wrapping it all up in the gritty, adrenaline-fueled backdrop of rugby. The romance builds with delicious tension—what starts as a “just for show” setup quickly spirals into stolen glances, flirty comebacks, and feelings neither character is prepared to admit.

The rugby setting isn’t just background; Chase ties the physicality, teamwork, and intensity of the sport directly into the relationship’s emotional beats. And oh, the slow unravel into real love? Perfection. Both leads are layered—balancing ambition, vulnerability, and fear of getting hurt—and that makes their eventual fall for each other feel so earned and so satisfying.

Verdict: A 5-star must-read for fans of fake dating, sports romance, and characters who make you grin one page and swoon the next. Easily my favorite in the series so far.

Oh my god I am a puddle on the floor.. the final book in this series done!

Tropes; small town, rugby sports romance, she has a gyne issue, bad boy X good girl, cinnamon roll MMC, intimacy lessons, he falls first & harder, grand gestures, found family.
Smut was 2.5/5 on the spice scale and its a HEA in the series of interconnected standalones.

Gabi is our FMC, shy and sheltered, tryna get over a huge hurdle and when she succeeds?? Man she thrived so well. It was heartwarming to witness actually!

Lucas is our bad boy rugby player but my heart ached for him. The hostility and rudeness he endured.. he was trying his best and his character arc was wholesome AF.

It was a nice read. Very quant. If you are looking for a calm, easy love story, this is a great place. Lots of talking and a very healthy relationship between the two main characters. And if you love consent, this is your place to be!
