BYE!!!! Why on earth was that so good?!!!! Finally a dark mafia romance book that didn’t suck and actually had plot???? Who would have thunk??? I inhaled this. Was it revolutionary…. No but it’s exactly the silly giggly unhinged time I needed!
Finally a dark romance FMC WHO ISNT WEAK AND COMPLIANT WITH ZERO BACK BONE!!!!!! God this was so refreshing! Illayana is THAT BITCH! She’s a Russian mafia princess byt luckily that isn’t her entire fucking personality, in fact it’s mentioned maybe once, because what actually matters is that she’s her father’s ENFORCER!!! Yeah, she’s actually deeply involved in the mafia and unalives people for her father…… slay. She’s unhinged, deadly, psychotic, and morally grey and I’m so here for it. A women with spikes in her heels so she can kill men who test her and underestimate her abilities….. yeah no I fully support women’s wrongs. She was the star of the show, i have a crush on her. On and she didn’t sit back and do whatever her husband told her, WHAT A FUCKING CONCEPTTTTTTT!!
Oh and Arturo, he had no fucking business being so fine. His mouth. Sat. To say these two psychotic people were made for each other would be an understatement! This man worshiped the ground she walked on and folded the second he saw her throw a knife at his brother. I loved how he didn’t dim her light and loved every crazy thing about her!
This was marriage of convenience between two mafia families and it was so entertaining. I’m obsessed with Illayana’s brothers too oh my goodness they had me cracking up! The found family was so wholesome. I cannot wait for all their books!

Maybe I'm in the minority but I don't get the hype? There were too many flaws for me to overlook. Don't get me wrong, this does captures one's interest and the mafia vibes are pretty much perfect and dark as it can be. But it's not enough.
The plot is alright, had me intrigued and pretty simple to follow through. There are no complaints there. It starts off strong but somewhere in the middle it starts to fumble and doesn't really pick up except for the spice and occasional tension and banter. I also wasn't a fan of wattpad like writing. It was so juvenile for me in some places, I cringed. I get that it's a mafia romance, but you can make them sound a bit mature. Is that too much to ask for?
The two main characters, I don't really have much good to say about them. They're both average at best. Illayana is a strong, badass fmc and gives the usual defiance that I would normally appreciate. But she also is reckless and annoyingly impulsive. I get that she is made to show as fierce but why is she so whiny? Arturo is someone written as dominant and possessive- but he was overpowered by the fmc's personality a lot. I won't remember him at all. Like sure, he made the spice enjoyable but there's no substance beyond that?
The romance was meh. It's insta lusty, there was no emotional connection for me to appreciate it. Being in the mafia one would think they would have things in common they can bond over but they didn't really bond. It moved too fast for me and I don't care for the couple. The spice was pretty good ngl there.
That Gabriella situation at the end imo was poorly handled for drama's sake. I wasn't a fan of that. The ending didn't really blow me away either. But I do admit I really loved Illayana's brothers. The three brothers stand out and seem far better written. I'll continue with the series for their sake... Eyes on Nikolai 👀

sooo this book actually started out good and I couldn’t put it down, but then it just took way too long for things to develop or happen and when they did it lasted two seconds and then the end. I loved Arturo and illayana from the beginning, but their relationship literally never developed and they were in two different places for most of the book. when they were together it lasted all of two pages and it wasn’t believable. the smut didn’t happen until around 70% and when it did happen it was kinda out of nowhere and I wasn’t even into it bc their relationship was nonexistent. the ending was so sped up and I had to skip a lot bc I was just so bored that nothing was happening. also I’m sorry but the whole Gabriella living with him is so dumb and shouldn’t have even been added. this book left off on a cliffhanger, but when I went to the next book it was with a totally different couple???? like what?? I will definitely not be reading on.

400 pages of BS. Quite literally the worst book I have ever read. Whoever recommended this on tiktok, count your days. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, was good about this book:/ not the writing or the characters. The mmc was described as a “bi-eyed beauty” and I did a double take to make sure I read that right. The fmc curses every other sentence and just acts like a hormonal teenager overall. And I don’t know what it is about the author, but she has a problem addressing people. The characters kept addressing each other as “big brother”, “sister”, “new big sister”, and “husband” and I absolutely could not do it.

I came here for the smut, but stayed for the family, the plot and the smut. This was such a fun time and it kind of surpassed my expectations! The fmc?? I have a crush on her omg she is such a BADDIE!!! She is her father's ENFORCER, a kickass GYMNIST, just so unapologetically herself and takes shit from no one!!!
Arturo OMG HE WAS SO WHIPPED I LOVED IT🤣🤣 We love a respectful man in the streets but a disrespectful one in the sheets 🥵🥵🥵
So excited for the rest of the series I loved the brothers SO MUCHHHHHHH!!! Definitely gonna binge them all once all the audios are released HURRY PLEASE😭

I’m so disappointed. Once again, I got hooked through booktok and got bamboozled. I’m so tired of falling for crappy booktok recs that sound amazing and never are.
I was hooked at first but eventually I DNF’d
The first thing that was cringe was the way the siblings interact. It reminded me of the hyenas from the lion king. It’s funny in the Disney movie… cringey in a mafia romance.
The inner dialogue was also a bit much. No one talks to themselves like that! ‘Don’t worry, Mum. I gotcha.’ There are other examples but this one was in the part I stopped reading.
There were way too many English phrases/mannerisms for a book about the Italian mafia and Russian Bratva.
None of them had any presence. None of these people seemed dangerous other than them telling the reader that they were. It was actually ridiculous. Are you seriously trying to tell me that the head of the Bratva is going to allow an Italian mobster break into his house, attack his daughter and just walk out engaged to said daughter? These two mafias HATE each other.. yet they so easily work together. So easily blend. These men are used to being top dog; alphas have a hard time working together. There was no tension, no suspense, no war of wills.. nothing.
There was NO relationship. No build up. No anything. This could have been so good if they had something. They meet once and don’t talk. Then the second time they get engaged and then it goes to them being protective over each other. There isn’t even a build up in the characters thoughts. You don’t see them really being intrigued and interested. It goes from 0 to this is my fiance and you can’t talk to her that way (insert the pouty face I imagined on Arturo’s face when he told Lukyan that *eye roll*)
How is she 6’2” but he’s a few feet taller AND her eldest brother is even taller than the guy? Why is everyone SO big and yet… they have no presence?
You don’t need to use “?!” Use descriptors to show how it’s said. It’s just as bad as using multiple ? Or ! It comes off as immature.
One of the first scenes has the FMC interact with a guy she’s been sleeping with for years. She likes sleeping with him.. yet it comes out he roofied and raped her the first time? Was this to build drama? It came out of no where. It came out, then that was it. She wasn’t even upset. Why do this when the FMC likes having sex with him; when there’s no creep factor? In fact they had better chemistry than the MMC did! There was just no point and the whole thing came out of left field.
How did she almost single handedly take down 10 guys? Her brother and the two guards were fighting and she managed to take down most of them herself? I get she’s trained but come on now. And none of them were hurt.
There was so much potential here but this is such a surface story. Every thing is just so… surface level. I don’t even usually write reviews like this because reading is subjective but I’m actually mad. It’s annoying to see how good this could be but falls really short.

Saw this recommended on Tiktok and gave it a go. Loved it. Bratva and La Cosa Nostra arranged marriage.
I really enjoyed reading about the FMC. She was strong and could protect herself.

Started off strong then slowly lose me halfway thru but I stayed for the fmc. There’s just something about the last name being Volkov that always screams winners to me and I’m proven right every time 🔐
The mmc (I’ve already forgotten his name) doesn’t deserve her, my Queen is too good for him. He annoyed me and was giving bland lmao the audacity. The guy would get an ego trip out of nowhere and then would try stifling the fmc. It happened too many times to ignore it.
The BEST part about this book was illayana and her brothers. They litch carried this book on their backs. The banter and bickering had me creasing. I’m only gna continue the series for their books.

3 ⭐️ I liked Illayana but Arturo was low key giving loser when he is the mmc?
There was many stuff off from the way they talked, the way they acted and all the gen z social medias and music added in the story… but overall it was a quick read so I didn’t care much. Only thing is I didn’t get the way Arturo was talking to Illayana family and most specifically her dad? I’m sorry but little bitch needs to know his place… he was useless the whole book, even when his wife was kidnapped that same father and brothers were the one who found and saved her while he did nothing 😭 Also wtf was the ending? In the last 2 chapters we find out that Arturo’s childhood friend, who he was fucking regularly for years and was gonna marry before fmc, is now staying at their house and will continue staying there “until she will get married.” LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS THIS 💀

This book was something.. and it was not for me.
The writing style was strange to me. The story didn't really hold any substance. The characters were all just surface level. I don't know why I was supposed to care or LIKE Illayana or Arturo. Also, these fools like INSTA fell in love with each other and like never looked back. I wanted drama, I wanted tension. Zero of that. It took them till about like 65% of the book to even kiss. I was slowly dying. The family dynamics were cute but that was about it.
Basically nothing about this book did it for me. And while I'm curious about the other characters, I don't think I will be reading more of this series any time soon.

Okay, so I read a mafia book after so long, and honestly? It was only because my book bestie wouldn’t shut up about it🤣 And fine, I’ll admit that it was fun. I’m not going to deny it. I had a good time reading it😋
Let me start with my favorite part, the sibling relationships. Oh my god, the Volkovs and even the De Lucas were fun. They were so good. I will take sibling dynamics over romance any day, like genuinely, that’s my weak spot in any book. If a story gives me well written siblings who banter, fight, tease, and still love each other fiercely, I’m sold✋️ I’ll read it, love it, and obsess over it. And that was exactly what happened here. The Volkovs made the whole book worth it. The sibling banter, the way they pulled each other’s legs, fought, protected each other — chef’s kiss. Lukyan was obviously my favorite brother not even a question there🤣 He’s such a fun guy, and honestly, that personality in a mafia setting? Every girl’s weak point, I swear.
Now let’s talk about the actual plot. Because, girl… there wasn’t one. Like, genuinely. After reading so many mafia books, I’ve realized there’s never anything new. And this one? Yeah, the plot was basically non-existent. but you know what? I still had fun. And here’s the thing, I went into it thinking half the book was going to be smut. Like, I was mentally prepared for that. But surprisingly, it wasn’t! There were maybe two or three smut scenes😱
What I did find interesting though was that this was a marriage of convenience story — and the marriage didn’t even happen until 70% of the book. I was so sure it was going to happen at the 20% mark and then the rest would be them fighting or running around in drama🙄But nope! It happened way later, and I actually liked that. It was something new in the mafia genre for once.
And can we please talk about the female lead? I loved her. Like, genuinely. She was so badass. I’m so tired of female characters in mafia books being these tiny, delicate, “I-don’t-know-how-to-fight” kind of girls who are just there to look pretty and get rescued. This girl? She was tall, lean, could fight, and she actually fought well. She was strong and confident and didn’t wait for anyone to save her. It was so refreshing to read. She was pretty, but she also had fire. And that was such a nice change😌
Now… Arturo. The male lead. Sigh. I didn’t care about him much, honestly🫣He was just your typical possessive, alpha, muscle-headed mafia man. Big, brooding, jealous, protective like okay, we’ve seen this before a thousand times. There was nothing new about him. The romance? Not that great either. I’m saying it out loud. They literally met 10 days before the wedding. Ten. Days. And they were already lusting after each other like, “You’re the one,” “I can’t stop thinking about you,” and I’m just sitting there like… how? You don’t even know their middle name! It was so rushed like usual😔 I need slow burn in mafia setting so bad😭
And Arturo being like, “The husband doesn’t need to do anything in a wedding, just dress up and show up at the altar”? Boy, what? That was such a bitchy line. And to top it off, he was supposed to get married to another woman before this, like be so serious.
The female lead wasn’t perfect either. I liked her strength, but she had such a bad temper sometimes. Like girl, control it. There was this one scene where she arrived at the De Luca mansion, and her brother’s name wasn't on the guest list, so the guard said he had to confirm it with the boss- literally just doing his job and she kicked him in the balls. Like, girl, chill! You can fight, yes, but that doesn’t mean you kick random people for existing.
You know the funny thing that happened when I was reading the wedding scene was that I thought, “This wedding is going way too smooth for two mafia families joining forces,” and literally the next second, there’s a bomb blast. I laughed so hard. It was so sudden and chaotic, I couldn’t even take it seriously.
But despite all of that, the Volkov family carried the book. Every sibling was well-written, fun, and had personality. I genuinely loved their dynamic more than anything else in the story. That’s what made the book enjoyable for me.
So yeah, Bratva Bride wasn’t anything new in the mafia genre. The romance was meh, the male lead was forgettable. But it was still fun. I had a good time reading it, mostly because of the siblings and the chaos🤣

And can we please talk about the female lead? I loved her. Like, genuinely. She was so badass. I’m so tired of female characters in mafia books being these tiny, delicate, “I-don’t-know-how-to-fight” kind of girls who are just there to look pretty and get rescued. This girl? She was tall, lean, could fight, and she actually fought well. She was strong and confident and didn’t wait for anyone to save her. It was so refreshing to read. She was pretty, but she also had fire. And that was such a nice change😌
Now… Arturo. The male lead. Sigh. I didn’t care about him much, honestly🫣He was just your typical possessive, alpha, muscle-headed mafia man. Big, brooding, jealous, protective like okay, we’ve seen this before a thousand times. There was nothing new about him. The romance? Not that great either. I’m saying it out loud. They literally met 10 days before the wedding. Ten. Days. And they were already lusting after each other like, “You’re the one,” “I can’t stop thinking about you,” and I’m just sitting there like… how? You don’t even know their middle name! It was so rushed like usual😔 I need slow burn in mafia setting so bad😭
And Arturo being like, “The husband doesn’t need to do anything in a wedding, just dress up and show up at the altar”? Boy, what? That was such a bitchy line. And to top it off, he was supposed to get married to another woman before this, like be so serious.
The female lead wasn’t perfect either. I liked her strength, but she had such a bad temper sometimes. Like girl, control it. There was this one scene where she arrived at the De Luca mansion, and her brother’s name wasn't on the guest list, so the guard said he had to confirm it with the boss- literally just doing his job and she kicked him in the balls. Like, girl, chill! You can fight, yes, but that doesn’t mean you kick random people for existing.
You know the funny thing that happened when I was reading the wedding scene was that I thought, “This wedding is going way too smooth for two mafia families joining forces,” and literally the next second, there’s a bomb blast. I laughed so hard. It was so sudden and chaotic, I couldn’t even take it seriously.
But despite all of that, the Volkov family carried the book. Every sibling was well-written, fun, and had personality. I genuinely loved their dynamic more than anything else in the story. That’s what made the book enjoyable for me.
So yeah, Bratva Bride wasn’t anything new in the mafia genre. The romance was meh, the male lead was forgettable. But it was still fun. I had a good time reading it, mostly because of the siblings and the chaos🤣

No pude resistirme y empecé esta saga 🫣
Aquí tenemos a Illayana la hija menor de un jefe de mafia, una chica fuerte que no le importa hacer lo que tenga que hacer si ayuda a su familia, así que cuando su papá le dice que tal vez tenga que llegar a un acuerdo de matrimonio para una alianza ella acepta y más cuando conoce a su futuro esposo Arturo, ambos tienen una química impresionante pero también su matrimonio trae muchos problemas y enemigos que tendrán que vencer.

No tenía planeado empezarlos ahorita pero vi una reseña y me convenció.
Estuvo buenazo el libro, fue entretenido y me gustó mucho la protagonista, siento que muchas veces quieren poner protagonistas fuertes pero terminan siendo desesperantes y nada como las quieren pintar, está chica tiene agallas y un carácter algo irritante pero weno, se lo dejo pasar, Arturo también me gustó bastante de él no tengo mucho que decir pero una gran pareja para Illayana.
La relación de estos dos se da algo rápido y hasta eso lo disfrute, el como había está tensión entre ellos, que no duró mucho pero igual me mantenía pegada, además Arturo siempre estaba en problemas y quería ver cómo lo iba a solucionar 🤣
Ahoraaa siento que muchos de los problemas con esta pareja se hubieran arreglado si dejarán de lado sus egos y se sentarán a hablar, además de que a cada rato entre varios personajes se querían agarrar a golpes solo para dejar en claro su posición y me tenía bastante cansada eso 😮💨
En fin espero los siguientes mejoren, ya estuve viendo los protagonistas y se ven muy interesantes 😈

I really enjoyed Illayana and Artuo story! The build-up was good and liked how it was insta, but they still were working at building a trust with one another. ILLAYANA!!! I love her and love she was right alongside her family she wasn't kept in the dark her father treated her like her brothers. And that's what drew Artuo towards her.
The banter they had the spice was yummy. I enjoyed how Artuo saw her as an equal, but in the bedroom, he was in charge.
A few things I hope get answered because I was alil sad the cousin. How come nothing happened to her? She betrayed the family, and she got away scott free??
2nd Arturo should have told Illayana about that person living with them. I do hope she gets kicked out.

This tried too hard to be something but didn't live up to the expectations. The male lead let's his ex who he's fucked a lot of times move in to his house without telling his wife, doesn't apologize just have sex with his wife and everything is forgiven apparently. The worst part is that she says would you be okay if the opposite situation happened & of course he says no. This author seems to have a very misogynistic way of writing, so many women are called weak or they're a bitch. Screaming for your life is apparently being weak. The double standards were crazy. Also this book didn't even end well, the ending sucked. Nobody caught Rayna after she sold the fmc out to be tortured & graped and the ex is still living with the male lead & and the fmc. Wtf was this book, it sucked

let's agree this surprised me so much , I had low expectations which just made it better , the plot was amazing somehow the author described both the bratva family and handled Illyana's and arturo's relationship in one book amazingly 👏
I loved discovering the bratva , Illyana's family is everything, I loved the characters they were funny and annoying at the same time but the good type of annoying
Illyana , she is THE badass fmc , not some weak girl, the original dark romance girl she was fierce and could defend herself I loved her .
Arturo was as good , I liked him from the start hot , mysterious and I loved how he respected her boundaries and didn't try to control her ( even tho he did sometimes but hello we love it 👁👄👁)

I wanted to like this book since the FMC looked like she was going to be a strong lead, but it needs an editor. The spelling and grammar and just flat out contradicting details prevented me from being able to dive in. It was small things, but when it's on every other page it's hard to bypass and dig into the story.

The plot of the book was really something different that we have the mafia family still suffering from massive loss with the mother it didn’t take me long to get into the book once I was in I was immediately hooked I could not put this one down at all was on my mind all day no wonder why people can binge this a whole day it’s so good!

She was just so badass in here I loved her attitude in mafia books I always tend to get so annoyed with the fmc when they’re so quiet and shallow but considering her background is so devasting no wonder why she wants revenge help her brothers and father even to stay they do have complicated relationship when it comes to love instead of fighting in the ring 😭

This was just so epic and hot 🥵 the smutt scenes I couldn’t say much just to say holy fucking wow 🤩 there were times when the timings were wrong in that situation but was so more hot 🔥 they cared each other so much to say they both have very complicated family issues but they still made it work

Wow, wow wow. This book was so good. I was not expecting it to be this good, but I was hooked from the first page. Everything about this was the perfect blend for a mafia romance. Perfect amount of plot and smut. Perfect amount of banter and serious shit.
I absolutely LOVED Illayana. She was so badass and wasn’t a stupid girl like a lot of women in these books are portrayed. Also Arturo was one HOT slice of man.
I also loved the family lore in this book. It focused a lot on familial bonds instead of just the main love interests which added a lot of depth. And for an over four hundred page book this flew by.
I haven’t read a mafia romance I loved this much since Darkest Temptation and I’m pretty sure I’m gonna keep reading the series to see the plot and other story lines through.

0.5 stars // such a boring read, i was counting seconds to finish it until the end but not gonna lie it was easy to read some scenes. the author really wanted the wrote powerful fmc but could’t really add character to it even though i like it first but it got old. same goes for mmc. he wasn’t there at all.
