Picture I'm a small town doctor who's perfectly content with my quiet life.
Then, one mixed-up pizza delivery later, I'm sharing dinner with my new neighbor.
Who just happens to be Mac freakin’ Lancaster, the hottest rockstar on the planet.
Yeah, THAT Mac Lancaster.
The one with the voice that melts hearts and the abs that should be illegal.
And now he’s living next door, just in time for our town’s St. Patrick’s Day madness, where our overenthusiastic Matchmaking Brigade never takes no for an answer.
I tell myself I’m immune to his charm. I am a doctor after all, practical, sensible.
My heart didn’t get the memo though, and every smirk, every stolen glance has me questioning my sanity.
But I'm a practical girl.
And he's, well... Mac’s world famous with millions of screaming fans willing to do anything to get in his pants.
So here I am, caught between my sensible doctor brain and my not-so-sensible heart that skips a beat every time he smiles.
Maybe with a little Irish luck and some St. Patrick's Day magic, I might just find myself in the sweetest duet of my life.
Piper Sullivan is an old school romantic who enjoys reading romantic stories as much as she enjoys writing them. She spends her time day-dreaming of dashing heroes and the feisty women they love.
I loved this book! It’s back to Holiday Grove for the tale of Mac and Kayla. She’s a hometown doctor and he’s a rockstar, in town to rest and recharge after a world tour in his brother’s new home town. They meet when Mac plays hero for an elderly woman who had an accident on her scooter. Edith is an absolute hoot and it puts Kayla in Mac’s sights. Turns out, Kayla lives next door to the house Mac is renting. The chemistry between the two is off the charts but I love how down to earth they both are when they are together. Mac loves that she truly sees him for who he is. There will be a little bump or two when the paparazzi gets a few photos but Kayla can take the bad with as good as things are between them. The town St. Patrick’s parade will have Mac engineering a grand gesture to show Kayla just what she means to him. And it will work, letting the two start the journey of their happily ever after.
I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.
This is a great addition to the Small Town Holidays Series where Rock Star Mac is on his way to some downtime after his world tour. Mac rents a home in the same town his brother has ended up and on his way into town he finds a spitfire older lady on the side of the road after falling off her motorbike. He gets her to the ER and meets the local doctor, Kayla and the banter between them has started. These two then have their pizza orders switched so Mac walks next door to exchange them only to stay and have an amazing night hanging out and taking. With St. Patrick’s day around the corner the Matchmaking Brigade are out to set up the singles so both Mac and Kayla need to watch out! Mac shows interest in Kayla so she tries to stay practical and the hot sexy smooth talking rock star is hard to resist. These two decide to team up for the activities so with some Irish luck they find themselves the last float in the parade and Mac gives Kayla a surprise she’ll never forget.
"Lucky Dr & The Rockstar Next Door" by Piper Sullivan is an absolute gem of a book! It's a quick read that leaves you with a warm feeling and a smile on your face. The storyline is sweet and engaging, featuring a captivating blend of romance and small-town charm. The characters are awesome – well-developed and relatable, with a chemistry that jumps off the page. Sullivan masterfully crafts a world that's easy to slip into, and you'll find yourself rooting for the protagonists until the very end. If you're looking for a delightful escape with endearing characters, this book is a must-read. Five stars for this delightful romance!
Another fun read from this author. Rockstar Mac is taking time out from his music career after the band's latest tour ended. When he rescues an elderly lady and takes her to the hospital, he is blown away by Kayla, the stunning ER doctor. Fate has them meeting again when his food delivery arrives at Kayla's door and they find out that they are neighbours too. As they get to know each other better, chemistry takes over and although Kayla knows any relationship can only be temporary, she finds herself falling for Mac. He in turn finds Kayla irresistible, eventually finding a way for them to be together.
The Rockstar, Mac, is just looking for some downtime after his world tour he is not expecting to find the one woman who knows his fame but is not intimidated by it. Dr Kayla is settling in to her life back in her small home town and never expected to meet the rockstar, never mind expect him to find her irresistible. These two sizzle every time they are near each other and it is inevitable that they will fall in love and live happily every after - that is what happens in Holiday Grove. A steamy romance with lots of small town feels.
The story was delightful, infused with a lighthearted atmosphere that kept the heaviness of drama at bay. The characters were vibrant and engaging, each uniquely crafted to bring joy and laughter. I particularly enjoyed watching the main characters navigate their budding romance, as their chemistry blossomed in heartwarming and genuine moments. It was a pleasure to witness their journey of falling in love, filled with fun and tender exchanges that made the reading experience truly enjoyable.
Im not too big into romance book, but I will read any book to deal with a Rockstar or any sort. Mac is a Rockstar, on vacation. to visit his brother Lee. On his way into town he helps an old lady whom had an accident and takes her to ER. She asks him to stay and he meets ER DR Kayla. She's perfect according to him. He also just happens to rent the house next to hers. Now whenever his band takes a break, he will be back to visit not only his brother. but Kayla as well.
Simple, straightforward romance with no unnecessary drama and over the top soap opera plot twists. A bit unrealistic considering the H is supposed to be a rockstar and there would there always be drama, groupies, media, etc., None of that in this book though as everything is civil and muted.
I love that even though it was insta attraction, their relationship seemed to progress in more of a natural way. A quick, fun read that will leave you swooning. Will definitely be reading about the rest of the crew!
Short but very sweet. Mac is a bit full of himself but being a famous singer it’s expected. I also believe deep down he’s humble and goes along for the show. Both were a fun cute couple meant for each other.
