There are three things we know to be is a modern woman living in the modern world. Always has been.Torin is a Scottish Highlander living in an ancient world. And Time Travel does not exist. Their paths will never cross.Except... none of this is true.
Because occasionally our origins are more ancient than we know. Family ties and royal lines do not forget. Most of the time our fates mean to entangle us. And always our deepest loves become complicated by time — that is the only truth.
And sometimes Time Travel can be the only explanation.Torin and the Princess is a contemporary time traveling romance with a dash of history and a bit of SciFi. From the writer of Kaitlyn and the Highlander and the Scottish Duke and the Rules of Time Travel.
It may not be necessary but I HIGHLY recommend starting with the original book in another series (where it all actually started) called Kaitlyn and the Highlander. It might help you understand a tiny bit more what's going on here. But so far there are now 4 series within a series. Or at least tied together. All completely independent but connected. As always I loved this story. I personally needed it to be a bit longer. But that's the thing about series. They don't tell the entire story. So I must wait. If you read this one without reading the others, that's perfectly ok. Its this first book on this series. But still read the others and join the Kaitlyn and the Highlander Facebook group. Fun group of folks. I won't give anything away here. Remember it's a beginning. Enjoy.
This is a good story. It’s in the same universe as Diana Knightley’s other series Kaitlyn and the Highlander. A Highlander from the 1600s inadvertently time travels to 2004 America. He is understandably confused and so is the woman who finds him. Torin can’t believe all the “wonderous” things he sees and experiences and Lexi has trouble believing he is a time traveler. Torin discovers that Lexi is in danger and then the big cliffhanger happens. I can’t wait for book 2 to come out! Highly recommend!
It was a different kind of story and seemed a little strange at first but as you get into the story it starts to make sense . It seems to be a romantic and mystery type book , Torin has no idea how to work the vessel and Lexi is trying hard to figure out if he is actually a time traveler or is he a nut case. I enjoyed the book and I can't wait to see if there is a next book , I hope so need to see how they get home !
I absolutely love Diana Knightley's stories. They make you feel like you've been transported back along with the characters. Action packed and intriguing to hold your interest throughout the story. Leaving you hanging just waiting for the next installment. Can't wait!
Love the story. Well written. Now hanging on a ledge wondering what happens next. I was trying to find them on the family trees but not there. I don't want any of the group from Magnus dying cause it really bothers me. So I'm hoping they are from an earlier future before Magnus but not sure.
Diana Knightley is at it again with time travel. Can a Princess grow up and really not know she was a Princess. Is Torin real her a time traveler and her protector? I love this book.
Wow this book is brilliant, Torin is a great character and so is Lexi and not forgetting Dude. Plenty going off in the story and by what’s happened so far there is plenty to come. I can’t wait for next book, another brilliant read Diana Knightley as always.
I absolutely love Torrington and Lexi’s story, love the characters, and I love the storyline and making it even more interesting was adding in the time travel. Truly worth reading!
