I am extremely grateful to review an ARC copy of ‘don’t forget the milk’ and boy you won’t forget it!!!
Max is twisted, manipulative, and downright unhinged… But Eden is his equal, completely and neither realise how similar to the same side of the coin they are……
Both create dominant main characters and secretly vent their pent up need for murder..
I felt very uncertain about the direction this book would take and enjoyably felt on the edge of my seat throughout.. I was snickered at some of max’s early comments to himself….
The ending left me speechless I felt so sure Eden had weirdly changed heart and I missed it between one page to the other and boy can she play the long game for acting because that was not the ending I envisioned!!! I look forward to seeing who gets the upper hand for book 2
I loved this book up until the end and not because it ended on the cliffhanger with a long wait. But because I’m team Max and I really don’t like what Eden has planned for him. I really liked Eden up to that point.
Yeah he’s a little, well a lot unhinged but the poor guy was unloved as a kid and he just doesn’t know how to show her he loves her in a normal way. So he did it in an extreme way.
Really what’s a little kidnapping and the other stuff (check triggers) when you love each other.
I don’t think that sister of hers helps. He might just need to deliver Morgana some special milk.
This was my first book by this author, hopefully Max is okay in the next book and its not my last book by this author 🤣🤭
A very quick read from the magical minds behind Eden Rosethorne. I would have loved for this to have been a full novel, I feel like there’s a lot more detail that could be explained if it were longer but for now it quenches the thirst for this ongoing series ☺️
(Also, I’m team Max.. I need them together!)
Thank you for allowing me to adv read Don’t Forget The Milk 🖤
This was so good! Anything Eden Rosethorne writes I tend to get sucked in and can’t put it down. By the way I’ll never look at creamer the same again lol and the ending I can’t wait for the next book to see what happens! Also check for trigger warnings.
This book was awesome- It was twisted- unhinged- deranged- manipulative and down right CRAZY… overall it was amazing to read the craziness in their minds ❤️
Don't Forget the Milk was a short read packed with so much about Max, the unhinged Milk & Meat farmer & delivery guy. His pigs only eat fresh meat. He's dark & depraved, and he's very much attracted to Eden, the goth girl who works as a bartender at the local brewery called PoDunk.
Eden is beautiful on the outside and might even be a bit darker than Max. Eden is trying to live a better life than what she had growing up in the system. She bartends and does her part in making sure the bad people aren't well, umm, welcomed in their small town. Her sister, Morgana, runs the Underground life, and nobody in the town knows they are related.
I'm excited for the time the author gives us more of the story, you don't want to miss it!
GOT 🥛 MILK? Over-confident Max has plenty! However when he meets the waitress in town his sinister life is altered. He is sick and twisted and I’m here for it! (I ate up the sinister parts! Loved the “farm” and pigs!!)
Eden’s feisty character brings plenty of snark and secrets to the table in this short story! She’s a devious woman on a mission! Love her boldness and sassy mouth!!
What goes down in that farmhouse…is without a doubt disturbing but well written. This story left me wanting more!! I am looking forward to what comes next!!!
This is a story about Max and Eden. Both are broken by trauma as they were growing up. It turns out that each one turned to the same past time to cope. When Max sees Eden in the bar, he’s completely taken in by her. She will be his, he vows, and eventually Max does get the girl but by force. It didn’t turn out exactly as he planned. I won’t talk about the milk (lol). Eden is such a feisty girl! It ends in a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to see where this goes. I received an ARC copy from the author(s) and this is my honest review.
What can I say other than… what did I just read? This was a quick read that had me in its grip wondering how it was all going to come together. I really enjoyed the switch back and forth between Eden and Max’s viewpoints and getting a glimpse into both of their crazy minds. I was surprised/confused by the ending and am now curious for the next novel, because honestly the book ended with me thinking “wtf is going on? What did I just read?”
Well Well Well 🤩 This novella definitely hooks you in. Who doesn’t love a fit manipulative MMC and a badass FMC with her own agenda. These two are a match alright but is it a good match or bad match…who knows! Super grateful to be an arc reader for this and cannot wait to continue Max & Edens journey!!
Don't forget the Milk is a short novella that hooked me in the first prologue. I found the fact that there was 2 prologues from different POV to be different and interesting. I love when both characters are just as obsessed and slightly unhinged but oddly both equally smart and cunning. Jerry was a POS and deserved everything he got 🤢 That ending was shocking and the next book doesn't come out til next year and I'm honestly very curious to see how the story will progress
I received this book as an ARC. I really wish we got more, the fact that we have to wait a year is going to be torture. I really love that Eden is equally if not stronger than Max and it's not your typical morally grey man/sub girl dynamic. I'm excited to see where Eden goes!
In this very quick read we get to meet max who is a manipulative and unhinged MMC! We also get to meet Eden who is almost the mirrors image of max! Interesting commentary and an interesting ending through and through!
This is a erotic horror, so please check your triggers.
And oh...my...gosh.
This is unhinged, twisted, and disturbing. Did I pause a few times? Yes. Did I go back in to read more? Yes. Was I constantly on the edge of my seat? Also, yes.
You get to see inside Eden and Max's POVs and see through their lenses how their minds operate, and it's so fascinating and fun. They're both so perfect together in a crazy way.
A very quick read, I wish it was longer. The ending left me wanting more!
“My love for her knows no bounds. I didn’t plan on this, yet here I am.”
Well well well. The game is just beginning 😈
Eden is not your average bartender/alt girl, and Max may look like your friendly milk man but they both have a darkness within that calls to the other. The only thing keeping them a part is themselves.
I rrrrreally enjoyed this novella in the Shadowfell Universe. Might be my fave so far 🫣
I loved Max’s inner monologue 😆 and Eden is a smart fucking woman. I honestly was NOT expecting that ending 😳 This book is pitch fucking black. No grey here. ⚠️ CHECK TRIGGER/CONTENT WARNINGS ⚠️ That being said if you’re not into any of it I highly suggest not reading. It takes a certain Little Lunatic to appreciate it 😈 😆
Thank you for the opportunity to ARC read for you once again! 🫶
Eden MF Hemingway 🔥🔥🔥 You gotta love when a “dont fuck with me” attitude type of woman outplays a man. 👏🏻 I’m anxious to see if Eden really does end up getting sucked into the sadistic mind and emotions of Max - I mean I did! 🤷🏼♀️ If you are into a little “roughness” and not so normal ways of enticing pleasure out of someone this is a book you definitely want to read! I wanted MORE! More details! More from each of their sadistic ways! The ending alludes to a change in direction for their happily (n)ever after in the next book - talk about a cliffhanger! Can’t wait for the next one! 💥💥💥
Just finished Don't Forget the Milk by Eden Rosethorne, and I have to say, it’s a thrilling ride! This book is a perfect mix of mystery and suspense, packed with unexpected twists that kept me hooked from start to finish. Rosethorne’s characters are quirky and well-developed, adding depth to the plot. The pacing strikes a perfect balance between tension and relief, making it a delightful page-turner.
While some plot points could have been explored a bit more, it doesn't take away from the overall experience. If you're a fan of mysteries with a quirky edge, I highly recommend adding this one to your reading list. Overall, I'm giving it 4 stars! 🌟📚
Max is a dairy and pig farmer- and also murderer? Eden is a bartender and may also partake in a little killing every now and then. Max wants Eden and will do anything to get her- including a touch of kidnapping.
For such a short book a hell of a lot happened! I don’t want to give too much away but this was a wild ride and I can’t wait for book 2 so I can see how this ends!
This is an ARC review and all opinions are my own. Thank you to the author for the ARC copy of this book and for the opportunity to read and review it
I am proud to be a Little Lunatic. Just a warning, this book leaves you wanting more. Max is not your "normal" milkman. Eden is not your "normal" bartender/waitress. Eden is rewriting her story HER way. Max is just along for the ride. Fast forward to next Halloween -- what will happen? Well written and super easy to read! I received an advance review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.
A short read about to unalivers, this is not a romance but a twisted ‘love’ story and it’s only the beginning!
The main characters are interesting and live double lives, the story is fast paced though at times feels a little to quick, with changing emotions/ mindsets. They are both highly flawed with horrible childhoods and seem to fit well. The book leaves you wondering what’s next and I am interested to see how the story progresses in the next book.
How do you put into words this book.. it’s twisted and unhinged in the best kinda way, also a little bit deranged and a crazy read. The switch between Max and Edens points of view gave us a look into both of their crazy mind. They are a match made in darkness.
I wish this wasn’t just a novella I’d love for it to be longer and go into more details but I still loved it nonetheless it was a fun dark read.
Don’t Forget the Milk by @authoredenrosethorne is all the best kinds of crazy. It follows Eden, a vigilante-esque bartender, and Max, the town’s milkman that sees all. They are so similar to one another, and I’ve never read a more similar pairing. It’s a short little novella, so you can easily read it in one go, but some parts are so crazy you might need a break. CHECK YOUR TRIGGER WARNINGS! Also, that cliffhanger? I need book 2 immediately!
A twisty, all kinds of unhinged, murdery, delight! It's killing in the name of making a town safer, obsession that registers so far above unhealthy on the scale it's ridiculous but so good, stalking coming at you from both sides, murder, a toxic relationship that is on a whole new level, some more murder, and the ever popular question of if you should kill them or love them and it's intriguing, perplexing, and totally consumes you.
This book is so wild, it has just about everything. The main female character Eden is a bartender and she's a little cray. Max, the MMC is a milk man and "meat farmer." Well let's just say he does different kinds of things on his farm. This is a very dark, ok pitch black plot that disturbing at times yet intriguing. You just keep reading to find out what unhinged thing happens next! Definitely check tr!gger warnings.
What in the actual f*** did I just read 😳 Like damn can this author suck you in, place you in a vice and not let you go! This novella was dark and absolutely delicious!!
That ending though had me like wait what?? Did I just read that?? Noooo I couldn’t have 🤯😳🫣 Next year can’t come soon enough 😩 I need more & I need it stat! 😉
