This book is intended to be read after Reluctant Bride which is Book Four of The West Coast Syndicate series. Note this is a novella.
Saoirse
When the adrenaline wears off, the pain settles in, I’m losing a lot of blood. I am not going to make it to Boston, so I divert to New York. Just when I think I have made it, my body gives out on me. I wake in… definitely not a hospital room, to the handsome face of a man I have never seen before.
When he makes me some promises I have to make a choice to trust him or lose everything. Can I trust him? I think so, or perhaps he will make a fool of me. I am not really in a position to turn down any help, even if it blows up in my face.
Siro
She is at death’s door when she crashes into my warehouse calling for Cavanaugh. I don’t know if she was saying he did this or if she was asking for him, but if she was trying to get to him, she made it to the wrong side of the Bridge.
I get her medical care and for some damned reason I can’t seem to walk away. I find myself sleeping in the chair beside her bed. I find myself making promises to keep her safe and get her revenge.
This is not what I saw for myself, but I am finding I don’t mind the turn my life is taking, especially if it means I get to keep this bewitching woman.
This is not a standalone book . It is the story surrounding side characters from Reluctant Bride (Cormac Kane). Other books to read, that surround this book, but can be read as A Life Stolen (Anlon Walsh) and Sweet Raven (Senan Cavanaugh).
