The Summer We Fell
It’s her final year of high school and Lale Morgan spends her days doing the bare minimum leaving her free to surf, party and spend all her spare time with the cutest boy in school. Life seriously couldn’t be better. That is, until her mother drops a bombshell, Lale is the result of one night of passion in Türkiye, and now… her dad wants her to come to Türkiye.

The Summer We Fell is the first Jane Gundogan I’ve read, but it won’t be the last. From the description, I was expecting a sweet YA romance. Lale Morgan is young and very naïve, but the sex is frequent and sizzling-hot.
Told from Lale’s point of view, it has a sense of immediacy, as if you, the reader, were there. The twist in the middle is intriguing, gripping… Be ready to stay up all night; it’s a full-length romance impossible to put down until you know how it ends.

The Summer We Fell by Jane Gundogan is an absolute cracker. I settled down on my sun lounger expecting a cozy little holiday romcom and, goodness me, got so much more!

The Summer We Fell by Jane Gundogan is a genre type crossing New adult romance that evolves over the story into second chance years later, love triangles, dark past, memory loss and evolving in ways that are sometimes good and sometimes bad when they involve the family and the men in Lale Morgan’s life. Add that to that it’s set in Turkiye so there is a different culture to explore. It’s not a light romance but steamy and full of twists and turns that keep the pages moving.
