She thrives on chaos. He lives for control. Antarctica is about to break them both.

Elliot Wilde is the calm in the storm, the strategist who keeps Wilde Security Worldwide running like a well-oiled machine. Logic, precision, and always having a plan? That’s his way. Risk-taking? Not so much.

Which is exactly why Rue Bristow—fearless, reckless, and completely untamable—pushes every one of his buttons.

Rue doesn’t do careful. As an elite expedition leader, she chases danger for a living, guiding thrill-seekers through some of the most extreme environments on the planet. But her latest trek—to the frozen wasteland of Antarctica—is different.

This time, she doesn’t trust the people she’s leading.

Determined to stay one step ahead, Rue calls in a favor. She needs protection, but she can’t let the scientists suspect she hired security. Which means she needs a cover story. Which means she needs Elliot Wilde to pose as her fiancé.

For weeks, they’ll be trapped in close quarters, isolated from the world, surrounded by people Rue isn’t sure she can trust. If something goes wrong, there’s no backup. No second chances. No escape.

Elliot should say no.

But when it comes to Rue, walking away has never been an option.

Another winner by Tonya Burrows for me. She always hits the right amount of suspense and romance for me. The setting of Antarctica was already intriguing and I think she did a fabulous job bringing it to life. Elliot and Rue, totally perfect for each other.

She is so fearless but knows how to listen to her gut when it says "you need help here". I love a strong FMC that has that without compromising her character.

If you are looking for an amazing romantic suspense with a unique setting, one click this baby!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. You get thrown right into the middle of the story in the very first chapter. A smart way to start this book and that’s how this story ends as well (with a lookout into the next story that’s has Dom starring). But, to get back on track - Rue is about to lead a group into the depths of Antarctica. A well thought trough story, that has you at the edge of your seat every now and then. As it wouldn’t be a TB-book, there are some bodies along the way also. A fabulous story, I didn’t expect. Great.

What a perfect title for a perfect read! I loved this story and the story being based in Antarctica added a really unusual and exciting element to the book. I just loved reading about the conditions and survival skills needed.

I loved how capable Elliot was and I loved the wildness of Rue, a perfect combination.

Book 2 was just as exciting as book 1 and I can’t wait for Dom’s story next! I can tell already how Wilde that will be!

Tonya Burrows is a master at suspense and storytelling. This book keeps you hanging on the edge waiting to see what happens next. It’s an adventure that takes place in Antarctica with two characters that appear to be polar opposites but explode together.

This appears to be the era of authors writing 2nd gen versions of some of my favorite series (like this one, this one, and of course, THIS one), and I am here for it!

Wilde and Untamed was even better than the first book in the series ( Wilde and Deadly ), and that's saying something! Rue and Elliot's story had me on the edge of my seat--seriously, the last 30% or so was SO DARN STRESSFUL I almost felt like I should be checking my blood pressure periodically as I read. (And at the same time the setting kept making me think about The Thing, which I tried to convince myself was just because it's one of the few pieces of media I've consumed set in Antarctica. So I nearly spit out my drink when Rue mentioned it near the end)

Seriously, this book had it all--heart pounding suspense, heartbreaking betrayal, glacier-melting chemistry between our MCs, and more than a few LOL moments to balance it all out. We saw a handful of crucial scenes from other series character POVs--including the last one, which is clearly setting up the next book ( Wilde and Reckless ), which I am ready for. Yesterday.

Or, you know, I guess I can wait until March. Sigh.

Wilde and Untamed *could* be read on its own, but I'd really suggest reading book 1 first so you'll better understand the family dynamics going in. Better yet, read the prequel ( A Wilde Christmas --it's in KU!) and *then* book one. And if you're done with all 3 before March, there's always the OG series to binge--Wilde Security and HORNET... #yourewelcome

Whoah when you say opposite attract that's a euphemism when you take Elliot Wilde and Rue Bristow.... I loved to see both their reactions to events and how they were good to built together....I mean Elliot is a strategist but he is so much more and learning what he gave up to help his family was a bit heartbreaking but it show his loyalty so well...
Rue is wild, always has been but mostly because she misinterpreted something....she is running from her fears when Elliot try to stay away of them....but she is also very loyal...it's the reason she goes in this risky mission because she want to find, and hopefully save, her mentor who diseappeared with th last expedition..... She knows the risks thus why she takes Elliot with her in Antartica....but risks make her feel alive in a way.....she love Nature, real one with her rules to follow more than human world...

Really it was great to see them opening their eyes on themselves on truly see the other one and not only see him/her but understand him/her as well

There are a lot of action, tension ( arf preatorian is such a disgusting organisation) but also heartbreaking moment.....really poor Elliot he did not need to see such treachery even if deep dfown we think there is more into it i can understand his reaction.....his despair

and then the cliffhanger arg next book won't be here soon enough.

this is a great, really great series to keep you on edge from first to last page and while it's great as stand alone i really recommand you to read the series in order to get even a better understanding of the dynamic of the team.

Two opposites attract…Elliot, who is neat, orderly and plans falls hard for Rue, messy and disorderly, a risk taker who can’t be still. They have known each other for years and have been good friends and when an expedition to the Antarctic has Elliot travelling with Rue as her fiancée to keep her safe, his feelings are not just play acting to play the part. Rue is carefree and free spirited, being tied down scares her, she doesn’t want anyone to clip her wings but Elliot is proving that he wants her to fly, he just wants to be by her side while she does. The danger is real, and it’s not just Mother Nature that can take them out, there is something else going on and it has their enemies calling card all over it. Rue is lucky that Elliot is with her and when the truth comes out as to the real reason she went on this mission….Elliot once again proves to be her rock, but it may not be enough to protect her when more than one force is out to silence them.
A great read with plenty of suspense, action, danger, steam, betrayals, twists and turns, surprises and amazing characters. The story flowed beautifully without skipping a beat and I loved these two, so different but perfect for each other. They balance the other out without holding either of them back….LOVED IT!!

Hmmmmm. I had my problems with this one.

I absolutely loved Elliot, he's got all a true Tonya Burrows needs. But Rue? She felt just a tad too reckless for my taste and too flippant in some moments. From page one I guessed it to be a mask to hide behind but that only feels partly true.

And I don't know why but in my opinion they don't fit together, at all. They are so different and I kept thinking, never would that relationship survive in reality. But then we don't read these kind of books to keep with reality, right? ;)

Also this book taking place in Antarctica was not my favorite background for the story. But I guess this might just have to do with the fact that it's one place that is so far out of reach for most and with that, simply unrelatable to me.

It's still a good book and of course a must read simply because of the fact it's written by the brilliant Tonya Burrows. But it's not going to be in the top ranks for favorite book.

Oh, while I'm at it: Is it wrong to use the review for one book to obsess about a different book in the same series that hopefully arrives sooner than later?
Because every single glimpse of Cade and his cute by girl? Makes my heart rate go up. I absolutely can't wait for him to get his book and hopefully a worthy HEA.

This is one of the most creative stories making use of the fake engagement trope that I have ever read. Rue Bristow, elite expedition leader, hires on to lead a group to Antarctica. When she realizes something is just not right about this crew, she convinces Elliot Wilde to join the expedition, posing as her fiancé while he secretly protects her and brings his special expertise to the team. Ms. Burrows is an expert at writing a story that allows for both amazing suspense and wonderful emotion, and it's all present in this exciting plot. Reading this book was very much like watching an action/adventure movie with a big helping of physical attraction between Rue and Elliot to muddy the waters. The dangerous Antarctic setting is like adding another harrowing character to this already heady mix. I definitely stayed up way too late reading because I was so engrossed and couldn't wait to find out how it all worked out. All the stars = would certainly recommend!
I was given an ARC of this novel and volunteered to write a review.

Still reeling from the twisted mind of Tonya Burrows. Suspense, intrigue, mystery, romance, bad guys, family, betrayal all taking place in Antarctica. That in itself is enough, but the reason they are there, what they find? Made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. This was a fast paced page turner with all the detailed sizzle (which I skim over) but more importantly - to me had a plot and characters you were invested in. This one is still with me. Thank you for the arc. I freely share my honest thoughts and opinions. #WildeandDangerous #WildeSecurityWorldwide #TonyaBurrows #Bookfunnel

Elliot & Rue bring chaos & control crashing together in this icy, high-stakes adventure. Their attraction thrums like a drumbeat, ready to combust at any moment. Danger & suspense keep you teetering on edge, anticipation & anxiety building with every twist. Shocking turns hit sharp & deep, leaving you breathless. Through it all, family bonds, razor-edged banter, snark, camaraderie, & love push forward, proving unbreakable.

Tonya has taken us on quite the ride with this one. Rue is getting ready to lead a group to Antarctica and has Elliot to go along because things just don't feel right. This book is full of danger, suspense, drama, family betrayal and romance. I felt like I was right there with them in the cold. Can't wait for book 3.

I don’t care about spelling errors or grammar errors or repetitive phrases. I do not care. Bc Tonya Burrows just comes in with some outrageous story that flows and sucks me in so hard I don’t even notice if she’s messed up something. I absolutely love everything about the Hornet and Wilde Sec crossover and I canNOT WAIT for doms story. It’s already set up to be AHMAZINGGGGG.

Wild and Untamed is the second book in the Wilde Security Worldwide series. It was a very exciting and sexy story, and I couldn’t put it down. Rue and Elliott have been driving each other crazy. He can’t resist her when she asks him to help her on a trip to Antarctica. Can they figure out how to make the mission work when everything goes wrong?
