Killing West has everything! A female James Bond type who happens to be a CIA operative travels to China, Russia and over Europe uncovering a plot to take over the world's internet. Conspiracies and assassination attempts abound. Rachel West is my new kick-ass heroine. This fast-paced thriller grabs the reader in the begining and doesn't let go until the heart-thumping end. This book's a must read!

Rachel West is my favorite heroine! She's brilliant, athletic, resourceful, resilient, & has terrific gumption! She gets 'the job done', no matter what! Lee's wonderfully engaging, rollicking writing style is a pleasure to dive into. ALL his amazing books are diverting... I've got his "Sigma Consipracy" on deck! Can't go wrong with any of his J. T. Ryan Series!

A Realistic Spy Story

This is a well written story that brings the reader into the action with no fanciful gadgets or other tech in use. The heros are people that can be hurt and die with the exception of luck, the heroine would be dead. Looking forward to reading more in this series!

Killing West by Lee Gimenez,a fast-moving thriller, has a distinct cinematic quality, with nonstop action and a high body count. The protagonist, Rachel West, is a CIA special ops agent whose no-holds-barred treatment of evildoers and ability to escape from what seems destined to be certain death seem a bit over the top but are undeniably exciting. West flits from one part of the globe to another in her pursuit of criminals involved in a scheme to control electric grids and hack all communication media. At times the dizzying pace at which the reader is shifted from place to place has an “if this is Tuesday this must be Belgium” feel, with just enough spotting of important landmarks to create photo opportunities for the hurried tourist. Yet the scheme that West is determined to trace to its source and foil is a threat that is very real in today’s interconnected world, and the book rightly points out the tragedies that can result from hackers invading and shutting down the communications grid on a large scale. That one agent, working alone, could locate and eliminate the perpetrators may strain credibility, but the book does offer readers a glimpse of how serious the results of hackers exploiting the vulnerabilities of our systems could be.

GENRE: MYSTERY THRILLER—Killing West by Lee Gimenez
This my first Gimenez novel, and I found it to be a fast paced, suspense filled, edge of your seat novel that takes the reader beyond the comfort zone. The heroine, CIA operative Rachel West brings to mind such powerhouse characters as Sydney Bristow (Alias) and Annie Walker (Covert Affairs). Fierce and independent, not sure who she can trust in the world of espionage, she finds herself up against some pretty long odds. The question is, can she beat those odds? I recommend that you read the book and find out. Just don’t be surprised when you are swept up in the adrenaline producing twist and turns of the plot. Long before the resolution, you will be a devoted fan of this author.

Great thriller

Lots of action, blood and gore but ,somehow, not upsetting. A fascinating concept of taking over the US with money and power. The heroine is an incredible role model and lots of fun. Well worth reading.
