A Kitten for Alpha Kenny

Rate this book
It all started with a challenge…

Wolf shifter Kenny works in an office. He has PTO, a 401K, and an excellent benefit package. At least he does before he accidentally challenges his pack alpha and wins. Now every waking moment is spent trying to get his birth pack back on track after years of destructive leadership. When the alpha of the Wolfe Enterprises pack invites him to an event at Animals, he accepts. Maybe he can get some clues on how to do this alpha thing.

It all started with a favor…

Omega cat shifter Mulder hates parties. They are crowded, loud, and stressful. But when his boss begs him to be his plus one to a charity fundraiser at Animals, he doesn’t feel like he can decline. After all, his boss saved him and his young kitten when they had nothing.

The night of the party he scents his fated mate and panics. He can’t be the alpha mate of a wolf pack…and what about his daughter? Maybe fate was wrong.

Spoiler Fate is never wrong.

A Kitten for Alpha Kenny is a sweet with knotty heat MM shifter mpreg romance featuring a widowed single father cat shifter omega, an alpha wolf shifter who is in over his head, the night at Animals that changes everything, Karma doing what Karma does best, true love, fated mates, an adorable three-year-old, a sweet baby, some familiar faces from the Omegas of Animals universe, and a guaranteed HEA. A Kitten for Alpha Kenny (Omegas of Animals, Book 13) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A reluctant alpha. A wary omega. One adorable kitten—and a bond that can’t be denied.

Wolf shifter Kenny never planned to be alpha. One accidental challenge later, and he’s knee-deep in pack politics, spreadsheets, and power struggles. When he’s invited to a swanky charity event by Wolfe Enterprises, he’s hoping for leadership tips—not life-changing love.

Mulder, a skittish but strong omega cat shifter, shows up just to do a favor for his boss. The last thing he expects is to scent his fated mate—let alone discover that mate is the powerful wolf alpha.

Packed with heart, humor, and heat, this MM shifter mpreg romance is purr-fectly sweet with just the right bite. A single dad, a surprise bond, and the journey from doubt to devotion—you’ll want to cuddle this one close.

Mulder & Kenny

This series is always good for an entertaining fated mates story. Mulder and Kenny's story was definitely another good one. I enjoyed reading it.

Kenny is a wolf shifter he is also an alpha. Kenny works and lives in the city, he goes back to the visit his Dad's on Pack lands every couple of months, with each visit, his Dad's get quieter and are unwilling to talk about the pack. Kenny notices that their cupboards look bare so he takes groceries when he goes. On his last visit the gates were locked and Kenny was denied entry because he was now considered a rouge wolf because he did not live on pack lands according to the new Alpha. Kenny takes off across the lands towards his Dad's house when he sees the Alpha intimidating someone else, Kenny yells at the Alpha then challenges him. Kenny becomes the new Alpha of the pack, not a job he wanted, but one he will do to try and get the pack back on track. Mulder is on his way to a new place with his daughter Madeline when he gets a flat tire, the spare is flat also. Mulder has no cell service so he walks back to the Diner hoping to find someone to help tow his car and a place to stay the night. A Wolf Alpha walked in the Diner and when he walked past me I tilted my head to him, he squatted and talked to me. His name was Aspen, he is the Alpha of the Wolfe Enterprises company pack. Aspen takes charge of everything after Mulder tells him everything. Aspen calls Beta to get Mulder set up in a room, and he has a job with Wolfe Enterprise. Kenny is trying to straighten everything out and now the Storehouse is refilling like it should have been before. Kenny has been trying to rebuild the connections that were severed. Aspen invites Kenny to the event at Animals because it will be good for him. Kenny is late getting to Animals because his car died and he had to wait for his pack to bring him another one. When Kenny got to Animals and went in he smelled fate, he went looking and herd an Alpha introduce his fated mate and child, Kenny turned around and left. Mulder found Kenny crawling out from under his car and explained the misunderstanding. Will Kenny step down or will he keep being the Alpha of the pack???? Will Mulder go with Kenny to his pack or will they join Aspens pack???.

Prepare yourself for some shifters who don't act in the way we might have come to expect!

Kenny is a wolf shifter living and working in the human world. He has a nice office, a great job, nice home and continues to visit his fathers on the compound, he just knows it is not where he wants to make his own home. Sadly though, since their Alpha was challenged, lost the fight and a new one has settled in things seem to be going from bad to worse until the day Kenny arrives for a visit to be told he is now considered rogue and not welcome. After that events take a turn for the worse and Kenny, against his own plans, finds himself as Alpha, having to reunite the pack, having to rebuild bridges with neighbouring packs and undo all the damage. So much for the life he built in the human world.

Mulder lives in the human world too. In fact he was married to one and has a baby girl as a result. Jason was his husband, a man whom he was very happily married to, who was taken too soon in a car accident leaving Mulder and baby Madeline with nothing but the prospect of a job interview. A broken down car en-route leaves Mulder desperate and lost which is when he meets Aspen. Mulder is uncertain, after all Aspen is a wolf shifter, he is a cat shifter (and the story of his meeting with Jason is charming). But Aspen is not like other Alpha's, he puts Mulder and Madeline under his care and the rest comes naturally, a few years later...

There are misunderstandings when Kenny and Mulder meet but there are some bonds that cannot be denied and the mate bond is one such. The way Madeline and Kenny bond is beautiful, the acceptance of both packs is charming, there are some bumps along the way, a few moments where doubt tries to work its way in. Yet it seems nothing will come in the way of true, fated love, of a very determined little girl and a pack or two who are willing to do whatever is needed when their newest additions look as though they are going to be expanding the pack ever further!

Another sweet, funny m/m shifter, mpreg romance that can be enjoyed entirely alone or as part of this ever-expanding series (almost rivalling Mulder's litters in number!)

4.25 stars!

This is book thirteen in the author’s series, Omegas for Animals, and features Kenny, a completely accidental (and somewhat unwilling) pack alpha to his birth pack.

When Kenny, a wolf shifter, left for college and then got a fancy job, townhouse and fancy car, he never planned on returning to the pack…that life was great for some but not for him, the city was where he belonged. They say no good deed goes unpunished though and it must be true because while home for a visit, he was forced to defend a pack mate from abuse by the new alpha and accidentally challenged him for control of the pack. Although he preferred not to fight, he was forced to and won. His cushy life in the city—the job, the car, the townhouse? Gone. Now, four years later, he’s tired and still fighting to help his pack recover and rebuild from the damage caused by the old alpha. Of course he’s probably lost his chance of ever finding his fated mate too, his only hope was the city… Except an unexpected visit to the club, Animals, for a fundraiser has him scenting what he’d given up hope of ever finding.

Four years ago, cat shifter, Mulder was broke, broke down and brokenhearted after losing his human husband when he and his daughter met an alpha wolf from another pack who took them in and gave him a job and a place to live. As that alpha’s assistant, he attended the Animals fundraiser but hadn’t gotten far when he scented what he’d always hoped to find, his fated mate.

This was a sweet fated mates novella with an alpha who never wanted the pack life, an omega house cat who had to start over alone, without a husband and the cutest little tutu obsessed girl you could imagine. So if you prefer your alphas sweet and your romances with more than a little heat, give this one a try and, while you’re at it, check out the rest of the Omegas for Animals series. 4.25 stars!!.

'We never let go of one another, holding hands, brushing shoulders. An inch away from me was too far, and any alpha within arm’s length was too close... I was happier than I’d ever been, but already I could see that having a mate would have its challenges. Ones I’d be happy to deal with.'

I really enjoyed this book. While I loved both Kenny and Mulder, out of the two of them, it was Kenny's story that captivated me the most. Rather than living his life to move up ranks in pack politics, he went to human university and did well for himself. While his pack deteriorated under a bad leader, one act of honor and defense earned him the position of pack alpha- something he never would have wanted. While he had a big heart and was doing his best for his people and working to undo the damage, he needed some help and guidance on being the alpha of a pack. I probably could have read an entire story on just his journey and actions alone.

He and Mulder were really cute together. I liked that Mulder made it clear he needed to take things slowly and get imput from his young daughter not suddenly overwhelm her with big changes like when her father died. Mated or not, for Mulder, his daughter had to come first. Kenny's response was perfect and understanding:

“I understand why. She’s your daughter.” He leaned his forehead against mine. “She has to come first. But I want you to know that she comes first for me too. You both do. And if that means we go slowly, then we go slowly. If it means we stop, we stop.”

Yup- perfect pairing right there. Also loved the supporting characters. A sweet read. 4 stars.

This is another enjoyable addition to the Omegas of Animals series where fated mates meet through various means at the desert based shifter club Animals. Mulder is a cat shifter attending a fundraiser for the local animal shelter and wolf shifter Kenny is there to network with the alphas of other packs, when the two scent each other, and the search is on to find their mate. Being from different packs, some decisions need to be made, along with input from Mulder’s daughter Madeline, on which pack will be their home. Kenny decides to give up his pack alpha position to keep Madeline in her home. The family grows quickly, with a litter rather than a single birth, as the family settles into its HEA.
One of my favorite parts is the books Mulder has created for Madeline with stories about her human father so he will never be forgotten, and the most often mentioned one is about breaking Daddy out of jail — cute story. The books continue to be a theme throughout, with new ones being added as needed, including how Kenny and Mulder met, Madeline and her tutu collection, and the arrival of the new babies, among others.
These are short, low angst, feel good, relatable character, problem solving tales with fated mates, mating marks, babies on the way, and a HEA for each new couple, often with Animals still playing parts in the background. Each can be read as a standalone and are interesting in their own right.

This is book 13 in the Omegas of Animals series. Each book is a standalone read. This is the story of Kenny and Mulder. Kenny is an alpha wolf shifter. He has moved to the city and gotten a job that he loves. A nice apartment and car. Everything is good. Until he goes home to see his parents and accidentally ends up becoming the new pack alpha. Now he is working 24/7 to try and heal his pack from their previous evil alpha. He wouldn't mind finding his mate but he is so busy that he usually falls asleep in his clothes most days. He just doesn't have the time. Mulder is an omega cat shifter. He is also a widower who has an adorable daughter. With the unexpected death of his husband, he packs up and sets out to start again with a new job and a new place. Unfortunately his car isn't up to the job and it breaks down. Luckily another alpha finds him and rescues Mulder and his daughter. She becomes a member of his pack. Then one night at a charity function at Animals, the two scent each other. Finally they have found their mate. But first, Mulder's daughter has to approve of the mating before anything else happens. This is their story. The book is written well and is easy to read. I found it fun and enjoyable.

Another amazing story in the Animals' Saga, A Kitten for Alpha Kenny is full of doubt, loss, grief, second chances, and fresh starts. Kenny never pictured himself as the Alpha of his Pack. Mulder never imagined he would be left to raise Madeline as a single parent. These guys are wonderful, humble and giving, caring and supportive, gracious and loving. Oh, and Madeline is the cutest little 4 year old, with everyone wrapped around her finger. When Kenny & Mulder's worlds collide at Animals one night everything goes haywire. Misunderstanding leads to missed opportunities, but is there still a chance? Find out of Kenny and Mulder find eachother in all the mix-up, or if this is the time Animals 'magic' isn't enough.

"Remember, tonight is story night. I want the one about Father breaking you out of jail.”

This is book 13 in the Omegas of Animals by the writing duo of Lorelei M Hart. What a great heartwarming story. When I saw this one pop up on booksprout it was an instant grab. I love this series. There are still five I haven't gotten around to reading yet but I will.

So much happened to these two main characters and I was amazed at how much detail was packed into such a short story of 102 pages. I'm always impressed by these two authors.

Do you need to read these in order, no you do not. Would I start the series with this book, no I would not. Start at the beginning there's really no reason not to.

We have tutus, a special Grandpa, an amazing Alpha, and babies galore

Kenny was an alpha wolf shifter whose life was great, good job, good benefits, visited his dads, and gave back to his wolf pack. Then he noticed the pack changing and ended up the new pack leader, an unwanted job. Mulder was a domestic cat shifter down on his luck. His human partner died and his car gets a flat while he's trying to move with his baby Madeline to a new location for a job interview. A few years later at an event they scent each other as mates. Read this book to see what happens when they first meet, how they pick which pack to stay with, does Mulder get pregnant with a singleton or a litter, and could it happen more than once.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story and found it is a really sweet story about Kenny, who is an alpha, and when he finds the Pac lands locked to him, he challenges the alpha and wins and becomes the pack alpha, which is the job that he really hates, but knows he has no other options. He is lonely and wanting to find his mate, and when he is invited to go to a fundraiser at animals, this is where he meets his mate Mulder and discovers, he has a daughter, Madeline. They mate and make their lives together and have a litter of children and go onto to have a happily ever after.

Delightful! Kenny, Alpha wolf shifter is content with his circumstances, then he accidentally becomes Alpha. He is a bit over his head and thinks he can learn a bit while at an event at Animal's. Widowed cat shifter, Mulder is invited to an event at Animals as his bosses plus one. He doesn't like crowds, but that all changes after he scents his mate. But, a wolf? His daughter, Maddy is an absolute delight! Maddy, brings a new tone to the mate series and adds a lot of fun and sweetness. Great story, Kenny and Mulder and sweet men and we see a few old friends. Nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I love any of the stories were mates me at animals nightclub. Kenny became the alpha of his first pack by accident. He didn't intend to challenge the current Alpha but after seeing the abuse and neglect he had no choice. Mulder had lost his husband and a tragic car accident and was left as a single father. Trying to start over and make a life for him and his daughter his car gets a flat tire and he gets rescued by an unlikely wolf. Throwing a charity auction at animals and you get mates discovering each other.

This is such an amazing story! Mulder is moving with his daughter to start a new life and a new job after the loss of his husband. A fundraiser at Animals will lead him to his mate, Kenny. Kenny is the Alpha of his pack by circumstance not by choice and it isn’t a job he really expected to have. The two will meet and get to have the perfect family together that will involve a few changes to both of their lives. It’s a lovely happily ever after!.

Kenny’s comfortable life as a widowed single‑father cat‑shifter omega is upended the moment he “accidentally challenges his pack alpha,” a formidable wolf shifter whose fur‑lined glare means business. When pack politics drag Kenny back into the wild hierarchy he left behind, he must face not only the alpha’s commanding presence but also the surprising pull of an omega‑alpha bond that refuses to be ignored.

So cute!

Another great addition to a great series. I loved this story. It’s was everything I was hoping for a quick, low angst, cute story in a world that I love. Mulder is a single dad of an adorable daughter and Kenny is the accidental leader a pack. Their meeting is the chance at a future they didn’t know possible. I loved their relationship and how they handle each of their challenges. Grandpa Swale was the best. Plus it’s fun seeing Karma do her thing. This story is a great fun read. I can’t wait for the next story.

Kenny had a good job with benefits but challenged his alpha and won so now is trying to get the pack back on track. Went to meet some alphas at Animals to get some advice on doing his duties. Mulder went to Animals as a plus one for his boss because his boss had saved him and his kitten when things were bad after his mate died. He smelled his mate but didn’t think that he could be a mate to an alpha of a pack. Kenny asked his beta to be the alpha which was a better idea than him, so things worked out.

Adorable

I love this series! This one is extra because you have a wonderful little girl who loves tutus and an adopted grandpa that loves buying them for her. Kenny and Mulder are a sweet couple that is kind of head scratching with a wolf alpha and house cat omega, but it works. It also hints that little Madeline may have a similar gift to the incomparable, Karma. That would be awesome for her generation to have a version of the magical lady of Animals.

It was a sweet addition to the series. I liked that despite Kenny's circumstances, he put the well-being of his pack first. It isn't his dream to be alpha. Finding Mulder at Animal's gives him the one thing he has been hoping for: Mulder has found a home for him and his daughter. He and Kenny have a bit of navigating to be together. I adored Grandpa Swale. There are plenty of 'surprises' that make the ending extra lovely.

Kenny loves his job in city but when he visits his pack he ends up challenging the alpha because he mistreated the pack, Now he's the alpha a job he never wanted. Mulder lost his husband and now it just him and his daughter. He has no job but meets the alpha of a pack and gets a job and much more. When Kenny and Mulder meet at Animals they know they're fated mates and must decide which pack they'll lived . I really enjoyed this book.

Another hit with Animals. Kenny is a great alpha because he stepped up when hope was lost. Saving his pack and taking over led him to his mate. Mulder and his daughter find a pack with a kind hearted alpha that leads to his fated mate. The two join together to start a big family and get their HEA!.

As the blurb says, Alpha Kenny becomes the pack Alpha kind of accidentally. He's done a lot to fix his pack and now he meets his fated mate, Mulder. To have a family and support is the thing he wants. It's a sweet story and I really enjoyed reading it. It was nice to visit Animals again also. Loved it!

The narrative flowed seamlessly, drawing the reader into its depths. Vivid descriptions painted a vibrant picture in the mind's eye. The clever use of metaphors added layers of meaning to the text. Each sentence was crafted with precision and care. It was a true pleasure to experience such a well-written piece.
