This book is an excellent book for early education. When I was little I remember my parents reading me similar books to this one, and I loved it. It describes what sea creatures look like and what they do in the ocean. Furthermore, it explains how adaptations make the ocean an ideal place for these creatures to live. Some animals they describe are whales, lobsters, sea horses, fish, sharks, and many more. I enjoyed how the story started out by explaining the ocean then went into describing the animals. The author also added questions that can enhance comprehension. For example, the book states “Shark have lots of sharp teeth for eating fish. What other adaptations help animals live in the ocean?” This is a great way to get children thinking and participating in learning. Additionally, the illustrations had a realistic aspect to them and it almost seemed like you were in the ocean with the sea creatures. They were bright, colorful pictures that represented the ocean and its creatures perfectly. Lastly, at the end of the book it had an glossary with definitions that might be harder to understand or unfamiliar. Furthermore, there is an index, along with a small description explaining more about adaptation. Overall, I think this book would be great for development. Teachers or parents can create activities such as drawing animals or describing a different animal that wasn’t mentioned. It can also great for read-aloud because students can participate in the questions being asked or shout out what they know about the animal represented. I would recommend this book to Pre-K and Kindergarten.

This is a fascinating and very informative book about the wide variety of sea creatures that live in the ocean. This book has bright and colorful illustrations and engaging language for students. This story takes readers through the journey of the amazing diversity of life that exists under the sea. I love how this book introduces children to different kinds of marine animals. It teaches kids from tiny plankton to giant whales, and everything in between. The author also highlights the unique characteristics of each species making this book entertaining and educational. This book is a great resource for teachers and parents who want to teach their children about the incredible world that exists beneath the waves!

This book is awesome for young readers to learn about animals living in the ocean. The book explores various marine environments like coral reefs and deep waters, and talks about creatures like fish, whales, and jellyfish. It also explains how these animals survive in their habitats and how they adapt to live underwater. I liked this book because it's easy to understand and has colorful pictures that help bring the story together. It's fun and educational for kids, giving them a good look at ocean life. In my classroom, I would use this as a read aloud with a writing activity and class discussions

A children's book that explores the range of sea creatures that call the ocean their home. It covers various ocean habitats, from shallow tide pools to deep-sea trenches. The book introduces young readers to the concept of ocean ecosystems and the interdependence of different species within them. The book also has a focus on ocean conservation that helps to instill a sense of environmental responsibility into the young readers.

What can live in the ocean is written by Sheila Anderson and was published in 2010. This is a nonfiction book and I would say for ages 5-8.
Ever wonder what lives in the ocean? Then this book is for you.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. It is very informative, it tells about how an ocean is a habitat, and what animals live in the ocean. It has pictures that go with every thing that is said like fished use fins to swim and shows a picture of a fish. It talks about lobsters, and octopuses, and whales, love the whales. It shows a whole picture of what kind of things a penguin has the flippers and fins. My only disappointment I have with this book is that it does not include dolphins. I would use this as a reference book in my home and my classroom. It even has an index at the end to show the vocabulary and the definitions which I think is nice since I know I am personally the kind of person to go look up words.
