On 15th June 1940, the British Government demilitarise the Channel Islands to leave them to fend for themselves. On 30th June 1940 – the Germans invade.
Eileen Pratt and her children are evacuated to England, where her familiarity with the French language is seized upon and she is sent to train with the SOE - The Special Operations Executive unit.
Tempest Point is turned into a Prisoner of War camp where Russian, Jewish and other displaced dissidents are imprisoned and punished brutally under the guidance of Kamp Kommandant Heinrich Werner and the evil SS-Schutzhaftlagerführer Helmut Koch.
Anatoly Morazova, a Russian prisoner of war is charged with the removal and interment of the growing numbers of the dead on the island. But, as the Undertaker - he now holds a secret the Germans would kill to know.
Time ebbs by and, as the tide of war ultimately begins to turn, it is time for everyone to make new plans...
