Seven deadly—and ultrarich—sins rule NYC, and though she came here to escape her past, one woman’s true path to freedom might be the devil’s bonds in this scorching hot romantasy from Kait Ballenger.
The seven deadly sins keep high profiles in the Big Lust runs brothels, Sloth’s a media streamer…you get the picture. Pride, though, he’s more mysterious. You might know him as Lucifer—temptation irresistibly embodied. The paparazzi are dying for some burning-hot gossip. So when someone publishes my scathing but private rant about him, they eat it up. And now my job is on the line. After all, he is my boss.
With his vicious siblings vying for his power, Lucifer needs to distract the press, so he reframes my tirade as a lovers’ spat, demanding I play the devil’s fiancée. I need to be a good girl, smile for the cameras, nothing more.
But cocky and cruel as he is, his darkness awakens something wicked in me. Sexy and in control, he might just be the cure—an extra dose of sin to heal me from a lifetime of shame and subservience.

What to expect: - Seven deadly signs - Spice 🥵🥵🥵 - Playroom 😏😏 - Crazy/Stalker ex - Innocent fmc (religious background) - Interesting ending - ⚠️CHECK TW⚠️
First off shoutout to the author for that amazing dedication! It had me rolling. It definitely did not mislead either because wow this book was spicyyyyyy. Was it hot in there or was it just me. 😏
Anyway, the book was pretty good. I enjoyed the mmc, Lucifer, he was definitely morally gray. I wouldn’t consider him a good guy because he makes some rather questionable choices but hey he’s loyal to Charlotte soooo
And that being me to the fmc, Charlotte. I’m not going to lie and say that I loved her because it didn’t. I didn’t like how innocent and naïve she seemed, while I do understand why she acted as such it was still annoying for me. I swear, she must have blushed AT LEAST 10 times in the beginning of the book.
Moving on from the characters… the plot was actually really interesting. There was a bit of mystery and lots of drama especially between each of the siblings which was fun to unpack. The mystery aspect felt repetitive after a while. Every time the author would try and advance it felt like we were taking a step backward. Definitely giving One Step Forward and Three Steps Back by Olivia Rodrigo.
All in all not bad, recommended. (especially if you like spice 😏😏😏😏)
Thanks to NetGalley and Montlake for access to this title. All opinions are my own.
A new series is hitting our bookshelves this March and it is a dark romantasy featuring that fallen angel, Lucifer. I was seduced by that delicious cover and I stuck around for the story.
If you're looking for a spicy romance with a devilish MMC, then this is the book to keep you up at night or early in the morning. Our setting is New York City, where the Seven Deadly Sins have their footprint on the Big Apple. It somehow falls to their brother, Lucifer, a successful billionaire to keep them all in line. Of course, Lucifer has problems of his own, he is enigmatic and successful and the media finds his rare appearances to leave them craving more. When his company hires the young Charlotte, herself fleeing her traumatic religious upbringing, the two find themselves caught up in a mystery and a fake romance.
Blame it on Tom Ellis but I kept picturing him as Lucifer all throughout this story even if that isn't who the author had in mind. 🤣 I liked the close proximity and fake dating element of the story. The jury is still out in how I feel about Charlotte, our main female protagonist. However, the fact that she had a crazy stalker ex did make the story more interesting.
Not that I need another series added to the TBR but I feel like I am going to stick around and see where we go after that ending.
Big thanks to NetGalley and Brilliance Publishing for an advanced audio listening copy of Original Sinner in return for an honest review.
I liked many things about this story, although I wasn't completely blown away by it. This was a fun, easy read. Not to mention, the narration was fantastic! [ ] Touch her and die. [ ] Enemies to lovers. [ ] Dom/sub dynamic. [ ] Paranormal—Angels and demons. I liked how we got right into the story. No in-depth background or world-building. The characters were pretty interesting. Lucifer was just as you'd expect him to be while also being incredibly loving and caring in his own unhinged way. Charlotte surprised me at every turn, constantly egging on the devil himself with no worries at all. After her extensive religious trauma, she overcomes it with the help of Lucifer. ❤️
Original Sinner by Kait Ballenger Dark romantasy. Present tense, alternating POV. Erotica elements including BDSM. New York City is run by Lucifer and the seven deadly sins. Brothels, elite bars where sex and temptation are the only part of the menu, and sin is the name of the game. The media and paparazzi follow the power players for the salacious news stories. It is not a playground for the innocent. Yet, NY is exactly where Charlotte goes to escape her religious and restrictive past. She gets an assistant PR job where she ends up working directly for Lucifer, who cannot resist her. He can’t see her sins and it’s driving him mad. If he can’t see any of her sins, he’s going to make sure he gives her a few she will never forget. The PR job turned fake relationship turned play room kink drives both Charlotte and Lucifer to the unknown.
2nd read 🎧 Narrators Isabelle Turner and Ethan Reid will keep you captive and captivated throughout the story. It’s unforgettable. Bonus - amazing whispersync price!
Enrapture, domination, anger, pleasure and lust. Just the tip of the emotional entanglements.

This book was NOT what I was expecting. When I downloaded it to my kindle, I was thinking it would just be, you know, like a little short, spicy read with a spin on the 7 deadly sins. I was NOT expecting it to do that AND attack everything wrong with what goes on behind the scenes of large, far-right evangelical Christian congregations. For anyone struggling to get over their religious trauma, but also wants spice, this is THE book.
I will also say this: the book DID feel pretty…how do I put this…fifty shades of grey esque at times, although it was definitely MUCH better than fifty shades of grey. Lucifer’s ‘playroom’ felt VERY Christian Grey, and so did is ‘I don’t do hearts and flowers’ attitude. But that’s ok, because it was done SO MUCH better than fifty shades was.

So, here’s the deal. I truly have no problem with the writing style for this book, but it felt repetitive and some things came out of the blue without warning. “His devilish grin” and “his fangs” were in there more than a few times, so there goes the .25 stars.
I’ll give Kait Ballenger this, though: she knows how to write smut, and write it well.

There was so much going on in this one it was hard to keep up at times. I’d lowk forget about the thing with Jax or at points because I was so focused on Gabriel returning or Lucifer and Charlotte’s agreements. So that’s definitely a few points off, at least ½ a star, if not the whole thing.

Sorry but the DIRTY TALK??? This maybe should go in writing style but idrc, the way he talks to her in the bedroom is GOLD. on the other hand, the way he talks to her outside the bedroom is SO sweet and I love it SO much.
There was one point where I thought I was going ot have to hate bro with my entire being (i thought he was going to rape her - and yes rape is rape even if 2 ppl are technically ‘together’ - but he didn’t) so i think its ok. I still have mixed feelings about that scene tho.

WOWZA OMG!!!!!! I am blown away by Original Sinner by Kait Ballenger. Think Lucifer, the TV series, meets Fifty Shades Of Gray. I love everything about Original Sinner, from the fabulous cover to the last word read. Once I began reading, I couldn’t stop. The seven deadly sins are running wild in New York City and Lucifer reigns supreme. They’re waiting for God to make an appearance, for Lucifer to receive redemption. Charlotte had run from her abusive religious father and the man she was given to. Through a series of stumbles she becomes Lucifer’s fake fiancee. BUT, once Lucifer has her, he will face heaven and earth and everything in between to keep her. They don’t hide who they are. In the days of social media, it wouldn’t work anyway. The paparazzi have them in their sights. Sexual tension runs throughout and when they do have sex it’s sizzling hot with plenty of dominating and submissive kink.
There are all kinds of triggers for some people, so check it out good before reading. It doesn’t bother me at all. In fact, I revel in their delicious wickedness and debauchery. I want more. Lots more. I love, love, love it!!!!! So, I’m moving on to the sequel in the Original Sinners series, Wicked Believer.
I bought my copy of Original Sinner and it was worth every penny of it!!!!!!!!
Thanks go to NetGalley and Montlake for an ARC Kindle version of "Original Sinner" by Kait Ballenger, in exchange for a sincere opinion.
If you think you’ve seen every Seven Deadly Sins trope, Original Sinner rolls in, serving up enough wit and originality to steal the show.
Charlotte, fresh from an abusive, hyper-religious upbringing, bolts to New York with dreams of crafting her own life - no rules, no guilt trips, and definitely no one telling her how to live her life.
Naturally, she lands a PR gig working for Lucifer, Himself. Yes, that Lucifer, His Infernal Majesty. Filthy rich, witty, gorgeous, and frustratingly narcissist to his core, he's unapologetically all the things she's been warned away from daily, since birth. Vexed and charmed by him, in turn, before she knows it, Charlotte finds herself fake-engaged to the Prince of Darkness, in order to straighten out a PR nightmare right out of Hell.
I was hooked and read it in one shot. There's a little mystery, plenty of laughs, and a lot of delicious steam! Even the supporting cast shines, making me preemptively obsessed with the stories of the other Sins (hurry up and publish those already!).
I’m absolutely diving into the rest of the series, the wait is going to kill me!
Who ever thought sin would feel so good with the prince of darkness!? This book spicy level is off the charts! Let’s just say don’t drink anything with ice while reading this book, it’ll be melted. This book is about a woman named Charlotte who finds herself in the city that never sleeps. She finds herself sticking out like a sore thumb until her boss, Lucifer is enchanted by her. This is where the story picks up. It’s a quick read and the scenes were spicy 🌶️. I love the anticipation and the build up with the book. The characters in the book were all relatable and realistic which is always a positive in any book. The chemistry between the two characters is very electric so much I felt the chemistry while reading. You should definitely read this book! Spicy level 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Explicit scenes 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Thank you to Kait Ballenger, Montlake and NetGalley for providing me with an Arc! I am leaving this review voluntarily.
First of all, thank you so much Kait for sending me a copy 🥹🫶🏼 I appreciate it SO MUCH !!
What to expect in Original Sinner
Spice 😮💨 Playroom 😏 Touch her & get unalived 💀 Innocent/naïve Fmc with a religious background Enemies to lovers Insta lust
Okay so It took me a while to really get into the story. I personally didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it either. The world building was easy to understand which I loved but the plot had me a little bit confused.
The spice was Amazing 🤭 I loved the dynamic between Charlotte & Lucifer. You could feel the tension in the room 🤭
1,5⭐️ Original Sinner had such a promising concept, a dark romantasy with Lucifer as a love interest, a city ruled by the seven deadly sins, fake dating, spice, chaos? I was ready for a wild ride… but unfortunately, this one just didn’t work for me.
Let’s start with the good: - The pacing was great. The story moved quickly, and even when I wasn’t loving the characters, I still wanted to see what would happen next. It had that kind of chaotic, over-the-top energy that keeps you saying “okay, one more chapter,” even if you’re side-eyeing most of it.
Now the not-so-great: - The characters really threw me off. The FMC felt inconsistent, one moment she was an innocent good girl, the next a bratty, materialistic "celebrity girlfriend." Lucifer had potential (and yes, I was picturing Tom Ellis like everyone else 😂), but aside from his filthy mouth and broody vibe, he didn’t leave much of an impression. - The romance? Super lust-heavy from the beginning, which made it hard for me to buy into the emotional arc later on. It’s marketed as enemies-to-lovers, but there wasn’t any real “enemy” tension, just immediate attraction and a lot of spice. I didn’t feel the connection between them.
Also, I have to say… the writing was not my style. There were way too many “growling” moments (like seriously, so many growls 😅), and a few scenes left me confused about what was happening, like we were missing parts of the character’s inner dialogue or transitions.
That said, if you’re into steamy, fast-paced romance with a darker twist and don’t mind when things lean more spicy than emotional, Original Sinner might be your kind of fun. It wasn’t mine, but hey, not every book has to be.🤷🏽♀️
Big thanks to NetGalley and Montlake for the ARC! 💜
What to expect: ✨ Spice…with kink ✨ Religious undertones ✨ Witty banter ✨ Touch her and you 💀 ✨ Billionaire talk, dark and handsome vibes ✨ Innocent FMC
Full Review: This book is a modern-day take on Lucifer, blending elements of intrigue, romance, and just the right amount of spice. The story is centered around Charlotte, a sheltered and somewhat immature FMC whose background in a strict, religious (and abusive) household shapes her perspective in interesting ways. While her immaturity could have been frustrating, it felt authentic given her age and upbringing.
The plot is engaging and moves at a quick pace, which I appreciated—it didn't drag on unnecessarily. The romance has its spicy moments (🥵🥵), but it's not overdone.
One thing I wish was explored more was the other Originals. They’re such intriguing characters, and I hope future installments dive deeper into their stories and relationships.
TLDR: Overall, Original Sinner kept me hooked and was an enjoyable read, especially if you like stories that balance darkness, redemption, and a bit of steam! Looking forward to seeing where the series goes
***thank you NetGalley and Kait Ballenger for the ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily and all opinions are my own.
4,5/5 stars for Original Sinner by Kait Ballenger.
Wow. This was AMAZING. This was a dark, sexy book, I fell in love with the writing style and Originals! I did not expect to like it THIS much but I feel OBSESSED and I can't wait to get the physical copy when this book comes out. The concept of this book is super intriguing; all the sinners being alive and roaming on our world? That was such a fun read. I also really appreciate to see some Non-Binary and Plus-Size representation, as I think this is unfortunately way too rare still nowadays. The entire diversity in this book was satisfying in general! Although the FMC sometimes appears a bit slow, other times she can be quick-witted and trying out new sides of herself. I definitely enjoyed that part of her more. The smut was sexy and not basic! I feel like smut can be very boring/unoriginal nowadays, I did not have that feeling in this book. At times, the romance seemed a bit rushed; the transition from enemies to lovers seemed sudden and the character development was too quick. I really liked the writing style. It was dark, sexy and full of wit and charm, without feeling forced or boring. At times, towards the end especially, the plot got a bit too chaotic to really see through it all. However, I could not put this book down! It was addictive and intense all the way through and I'm looking forward to reading the sequel (preferably right NOW).
"I will raze this city to the fucking ground if that's what she asks of me."
Thank you to Kait Ballenger and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
Wow! I really wasn't sure what all I was getting myself into here, but I was not disappointed. This is obviously a "darker" romance, but I really enjoyed how the MMC didn't feel as controlling as others in this genre typically are. You felt like the FMC had some modicum of control over the things she did in the book, after she'd finally escaped her old life back in the Midwest. And I really felt for her as a character because all she wanted for herself was safety. She wanted to feel as if she could choose her own path in life, and not have to live as an abused daughter in an abusive, arranged marriage. Things that literally shouldn't be too much to ask for.
I've never read another novel where Lucifer himself is the MMC, so it was interesting to get inside his head from his POV for once. He's written in such a way that you really feel like he's not the evil entity that society has made him out to be. I wish we would have seen more of his siblings, The Originals, who were the embodiments of the Seven Deadly Sins, but perhaps they will be explored a bit more in book 2, which I cannot wait for!!!
I loved everything about this book. The plot drew me in from the start. The Seven Original Sins return from Hell and take their place in New York, a girl recovering from her own religious trauma thrust into Lucifer’s (Pride) path and everything that ensues had me hooked.
I read this in one sitting and I couldn’t get enough of it. Charlotte wasn’t a wilting flower and despite her trauma she was build to handle the Prince of Darkness.
Plot, spice, character development, writing, everything about this was spot on!
I actually really loved this book. The growth of the main character into loving and trusting herself was so great IMO! I wish that there weren’t so many characters and questions left unanswered but this is just #1 and I am hoping for more later on!
This book held me captivated from the beginning. It is like a combination of True Blood, the show Lucifer, and Fifty Shades with its own perfect story line. I listed to it on audio and the narrator of Lucifer reminds me of Claus from the Originals, so sexy. The story is well written, the plot intense, and the intimate scenes so HOT! I can't wait to read the second book.
The way I devoured this book is insane. The MMC is literally Lucifer and Kait had me falling in love. I loved this take on the 7 deadly sins and was eating up the fact that the FMC gets Lucifer to become a softy for her. 4.5 stars!! So grateful to be given an ARC for this.
Charlotte didn’t realize taking a new PR job in NYC would end with her fake-dating the devil. Years ago, the Seven Sins emerged from Hell and took over New York City in a deal with God to see who could corrupt humanity enough to win His forgiveness. Lucifer, Prince of Pride and the King of Hell, now runs the largest luxury conglomerate in the world, and Charlotte wins a prestigious position at his company. The only problem? After a night of close encounters, Lucifer and Charlotte agree to stage a romance until Lucifer wins his father’s redemption. As their fake relationship heats up in a very real way, Charlotte is forced to confront the religious trauma of her past and come into personal power she never knew she possessed.
Original Sinner combined everything I love about high society and paranormal romance. You’ve got the love interest who isn’t quite human, and the high stakes setting that justifies the action that would otherwise be irrelevant. The magic fit in naturally with the glamorous world the author created. There also had to be something addicting in this book because during an insanely busy week, I somehow managed to read it in less than 48 hours. The pacing was incredible—each and every scene moved the story forward. I never felt bored and the chapters flew by almost like the devil himself drove them.
The romance was incredible. If you’ve read a lot of paranormal romance before, the devil is usually broody and distant. Lucifer was brooding, to be sure (he’s the literal poster-child for daddy issues—what do you expect?), but he didn’t feel emotionally stunted either. The love chemistry Charlotte and Lucifer developed naturally. It certainly wasn’t your traditional romance, but it also didn’t swerve into abuse like some other novels in this genre.
Read if you like… 𓆙 Fake dating (but with actual stakes) 𓆙 A man who is literally a devil in bed 𓆙 A woman learning to come into her own power 𓆙 Suto-enemies-to-lovers because they’re not good at admitting feelings 𓆙 “I hate that I have feelings for you.” 𓆙Women supporting and uplifting other women 𓆙 Serious “touch her and die” vibes 𓆙 Clear consent in… interesting situations 𓆙 Characters who make each other both better and worse at the same time 𓆙 Fast-paced plot with strong action 𓆙 Steaming chemistry with an incredible pay-off
An e-ARC was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions remain my own.
I could not put this down! I don’t know how this isn’t solely 5 stars because it was well written and fun to read. The story was different than the normal church girl and bad boy, for obvious reasons. I’m really hoping it becomes a series!

A big shout out and thank you to the author for providing me with a complimentary copy of Original Sinner in exchange for an honest review!
This might be one of the most challenging books to review, because all the aspects of it that were enjoyable are inextricably entwined with all the aspects of it I struggled with.
Let me start with the things that worked really well for me, because… why not?
The writing has a certain tenor to it that you see—and are often drawn to—in shows with dark themes and intense tones. With murder mystery and emotional turmoil within characters as they find what’s true to them, paired with paranormal aspects and handling PR nightmares, the book certainly reads a little like the show Lucifer.
There are a lot of religious and moral values that are questioned in this book. At the beginning of the book, the author writes a small note speaking about being fearless and reclaiming her joy and when you read the book you would agree that it’s the perfect way to describe this book: as a reclamation of oneself against what we’re taught to think/believe/feel. There are many things you can appreciate about this book and all the moments in this book that handle thoughts about, and understanding, one’s own faith and doubts are some of my favourite that I will always hold dear.
The world building was honestly really simple to follow. Outside of the fact that most of the characters are well known—and even if some of the names might be a little different from what is familiar—the world created by Ballenger exists in the real world with magical elements added in. Truly, it hardly felt too much like a book with fantasy elements it. It felt too real for that. I would call that a well done book in the magical realism genre, for sure.
The pace in this book is fairly even, the events flow into one another for the most part and it’s not a hard to book to read as such.
Here begins the parts of the book that were difficult for me.
The primary characters. As compelling as many parts of their personalities, situations and life stories were, there was a lot of gaps in the progress of their relationship to me. I do feel it had amazing potential of being a very deep connection/relationship, but it was never explored. It went from hate to… love in a few pages and I was left reeling from the swift pace of it.
The secondary characters were few and promptly disappear after a few scenes. Imani was honestly my favourite. She’s a black woman, works in the hero’s company, reports directly to him and has a fantastic introduction scene. She’s intelligent, fantastic at her job, shrewd paired with the awareness of how to deal with power and empower those around her at the same time. Also she’s fantastic at looking the Devil in his eyes and telling him he’s wrong. I loved her, however… she just … disappears after the first maybe 50%. There was only one—as far as I can remember—Indian character who was … well he was one of the hero’s staff members in the house. It wasn’t even an official role, but I’m pretty sure he’s a butler. Personally I would’ve loved to not see the only Indian character in the book being a butler…
The plot was honestly a lot of things all together at once. What the book initially seems to be about disappears, then the book seems to be about something else in the middle and that sort of takes a step back too … and then a whole new plot thread appears and acts as the catalyst to a swift paced last 10%. However, the ending makes it feel like this might not be a standalone in a series… which I for some reason presumed it would be.
Please check trigger warnings, there are themes in this book that can be difficult for some. Happy reading.
Mixed their stories together? Well! That's the vibe this story gave me. (yes, these GIF's were chosen with deliberate care 🙂↔️)
So let me paint you a picture.
The man’s name is Lucifer. He’s rich. He’s dangerous. He’s got a voice that sounds like Tom Ellis at 2x speed. My brain immediately screamed Lucifer Morningstar, and it refused to let go.
There’s a playroom. There’s a fake marriage. There’s daddy talk that made me pause, breathe, and clutch my pearls. “If we fucked, would you call me daddy?” SIR?! Don’t tempt me unless you’re going to ruin me.
This is not your typical spicy read, it simmers rather than scorches, but it’s so deliciously dirty in the brain, you won’t care. The story throws in just enough sin, sass, and dark temptation to leave your toes curled and your brain begging for more. I cackled. I blushed. I nearly screamed at the ending.
Fake marriage to the devil himself? Yes, girly. Yes.
am so beyond impressed with this book. It was not what I expected and it went in directions that made the book fun and really enjoyable.
First of all. Thank you to Netgallery for the ALC I loved the narration!
I have always wanted a darker, more sinful and kinky version of Lucifer the tv show and this book delivers that and so much more.
🖤 BDSM with the devil 🖤 Praise 🖤 Religious trauma 🖤 Good Girl 🫠 🖤 Boss x Employee 🖤 Dark Romance 🖤 Spicy spice 🖤 He is incredibly morally grey 🖤 A mature fmc
This one had me really intrigued from the start. From the trauma of the main character, to her character and of course Lucifer the love interest. I love that this wasn’t the usual take on the story, lucifer didn’t immediately fall in love with her. But when the fallen angel loves, he is vengeance. He is so morally grey, complicated and different that i can’t imagine him in any other way now.
I loved this book and binged listened in 2 days. Really highly recommend.
Please also be aware of this books triggers and check them out before reading if you have any religious trauma especially.
Really enjoyed this book! FMC is Charlotte: she's young and inexperienced, coming from a strict and abusive religious upbringing. MMC is Lucifer. Yes, THAT Lucifer. The devil straight from hell. The book takes place in NYC with Lucifer and his siblings "The Originals" running the town. I loved that his siblings represented the 7 deadly sins. Famous angels and various other biblical references are dropped, which I think added a little extra intrigue to the story.
While the story at times feels like something you've read before, there are plenty of new and interesting elements to make this a worth-while read. I love the debauchery, the spice, the mystery, and the ending was unexpected!
Recommend, especially if you're recovering from a religious upbringing ;-)
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC! I appreciate the oppurtunity to read and review!
Thank you Goodreads Giveaways for introducing me to the author and giving me the chance to read her new series!
Dark and sexy, I was pulled right in reading Original Sinners. The main characters, Charlotte, the good girl who escaped her abusive religious past and Lucifer, the bad boy who just wants to be loved by his father are opposites, yet share the same desires. They come together, sins and all as a fake couple at first. To end up needing and loving each other. They fill the missing pieces in each others lives, the good, bad, beautiful and ugly. The characters were believable, the storyline well written, the kink and spice was pretty decent. I can't wait to see what happens next now that Charlotte and Lucifer are officially together
"Original Sinner" by Kait Ballenger is book one in the new series "Original Sinners." I listened to the audiobook and absolutely loved it. The narrators did an awesome job, and it was a very well written story by Kait. I liked how the story jumped back and forth between Charlotte and Lucifer, and I was able to hear both sides of the story. My favorite scene was the piano scene, and I also enjoyed the authors note at the beginning. This book kept my attention the whole time, and I just couldn't quit listening. I enjoyed Charlotte and Lucifer's characters, and the storyline was amazing. I look forward to when the next book comes out.
“In a society that thrives on self-doubt, liking yourself is a rebellious act.”
Tropes. M/F, BDSM, Lucifer, religious, redemption. Past Trauma
🖤 Pure Sinful Perfection! 🖤
Listen, I am a total sucker for a Lucifer love story, but this one? Chef’s kiss! It is absolute perfection! 👨🍳💋
We follow our fierce FMC, Charlotte, on this harrowing, emotional journey as she breaks free from religious torment. Seeing her find not just safety, but a literal sanctuary in the arms of the Devil himself gave me all the feels! The chemistry is electric, and the sanctuary they build together is everything. Why you’ll be hooked: Top-Tier Growth: The character development is so robust; you really feel Charlotte finding her power. Queen Energy: The moment she realizes she isn’t just a survivor, but the Queen of the Damned... literal chills! 👑🔥
If you want a story about finding light in the darkest of places (and a swoon-worthy King of Hell), you need to read this!
Audiobook Review 🌟🌟🌟🌟 The seven deadly sins keep high profiles in the Big Apple. If you liked the Lucifer TV series, this book will be right up your lane. You will get demons versus angels, fake dating, spicy scenes, and romance. For some reason, this book gave me Hades and Persephone vibes, not Lucifer vibes. That's why I gave it 4 stars.
The audiobook was great. It's dual narration. They were easy to listen to and understand. Also, easy to follow along! I listened at 2x speed. Isabella Turner's male voice is amazing ❤️😍. I fell in love with her male voice. Lol
Thank you, Netgalley, and Brilliance Publishing, for the audiobook in exchange for my honest review.
This is HOTT!! 🥵 I truly enjoyed the dual narration as well as the fake dating trope. We explore desire, temptation, and most of all the challenge of resisting the devil himself.
Original Sinner by Kait Ballenger is a delicious Lucifer story where Charlotte, Lucifer’s newest employee, withstands his alluring charms. They are fake dating as a PR stunt.
🖤 Devil 🖤 Sinful Lust 🔥 🖤 Employee- Boss 🖤 Fake dating
Thank you NetGalley, Kait Ballenger, and Montlake for this Advance Reader Copy.
