Thrown to the Fire
All of humanity was created under the four Stars. These Stars created the world and used their powers to create life, including civilians (those without elemental powers) and Senanes (those with elemental powers). Senanes were gifted the powers by the Star they were born Air, Earth, Fire, or Water.
Ella was born into the Senane world but whisked out of it at age six for her safety, as she was blessed by the Stars in more ways than one. She required protection from those who wished her harm and that meant hiding her where no one would look.
Fast forward fifteen years, and Ella is a civilian with no knowledge of the Stars or Senanes. On the first day of summer, Ella meets a cute girl, Lena, and her parents adopt a cat, Char. She doesn't know it at the time, but those two events are connected and not by fate's design. Everything seems to be going well, until Canada Day comes around, and Ella learns that Lena is not who she says, or what she says.
