I love Cinderella stories and I found this one. Not read this author before.

This is Brennen and Gina's story. The couple is really sweet. Brennen wants to protect Gina but he does not push her to do things before she is ready to.

The step-mother is abusive and cruel and I was sorry that someone did not give her a beat down in the book.

Sensitive story and I did enjoy it but I felt something was missing from it. I feel the pace of the story could have faster!

I would recommend it.

Review for all the books in the Midsummer Suspense tales

I've liked all the books in this series so far. I like how they are a modernized version of the fairy tale. And it's done quite well. A short read but it doesn't feel rushed.
I also like how she connects all the books together, but not in a way that you have to read them all to understand the story.
