Knot Her Pack #4

Craving Their Omega

Rate this book
I tried to hide my Omega status…

But when three billionaire Alphas ask me to be their fake wife, I can’t say no.

As a secret Omega living as a Beta, I’ve worked hard to build a good life and escape my past. So when I land a job as the assistant to three powerful Alpha billionaires, I focus on keeping my head down—despite the way their intoxicating scents make my head spin.

Everything is going fine… until the day my blockers fail and I start perfuming.

I’m terrified that my three bosses are going to turn me over to the authorities so that I can be presented as an Omega and courted by a pack. But they don’t.

Instead, they make me an one year of marriage.

Having a wife will convince their board that these stubborn Alpha CEOs can function as a pack, and it will allow me to skip my Omega presentation. Once the year is up, we’ll go our separate ways.

But what happens when our fake vows start to feel too real?

How do I keep the lines straight when Xavier looks at me like I’m the only woman in the universe? When Dominic makes me see stars for the first time in my life? When Tristan watches and protects me, even though he tries to pretend he doesn’t care?

No matter what I feel, falling for my bosses would be a big mistake.

After all, I might wear their rings… but I’m knot theirs.

3.5⭐️. This felt for the most part like a regular rh book. While I enjoyed it well enough there really didn’t seem like enough time was spent on making the alphas into a pack. It was just a business decision on their parts more than anything. I didn’t really feel a bond between them.

The entire bakery part and other alpha pack at the end had no real purpose, and wasn’t well mapped out. Bakers start in the very early am hours and she was going to work at the same time as the alphas. She was also only seemingly the only employee at the time the store was destroyed. The alphas were into security but she had no cameras in the store?

Anyway, I still liked this and will read the other books in the series.

2.75 stars rounded up. An ok Omegaverse RH/pack romance, but could have been so much better if treated to decent proofreading and editing. The FMC and her three alphas were interesting, but had potential for more, as did the plot. Yet there were so many missing words, incorrect words, poor grammatical choices, etc. Not to mention the story components that weren’t fully explained or came from left field, eg. what happened at the first meeting between the FMC and one of the MMCs? What was the deal with her mother? How did she fund her first bakery? Why did she have not one friend? When did she move from the dodgy pack to the dodgy ex? Did he know her status? Unfortunately this reads like a late draft.

This had no substance there is no romance. I don’t understand how any of them like each other because they don’t really talk to each other like at all.

She goes into heat and it’s kind of a one dimensional spice. I don’t know. I didn’t enjoy it because I didn’t care about anyone.

It was insanely long for zero reason and all of a sudden there is a third act second pack drama that was dumb

Also, the assistant that came and then was fired. It didn’t feel very satisfying for the way that she acted but also I didn’t care because I didn’t feel like she acted that bad.

I don’t know it’s just not for me

Why write an Omegaverse book if you aren't actually going to write an Omegaverse book?

Inquiring minds - namely, mine - would like to know. Because this reads as a standard contemporary romance with maybe a half-hearted, ill-defined pinch of OA.

Frankly, I got bored halfway through and decided to quit following its slow plodding through mundane daily life. I kept taking breaks to do work. Yep - I took breaks from reading to WORK because I was that bored, because not only is it not really OA, it feels basically plotless.

I don't think the author really mentally committed themselves to the OA world (and all that has come to entail), so they kept deviating back to something they were more familiar with. For instance, in the very beginning of the book, Xavier mentions that he can smell that Penelope is nervous, that anyone with a good nose could tell. This was said while Penelope, an omega pretending to be a beta, is still "on blockers" - whatever the author intended that to mean in this particular world.

Now, I've read enough OA to be able to say that there are vast variations of what "blockers" are intended to block, but in Chapter 7 Penelope proclaims that her blockers have failed and now scents are more intense - hers, and how she perceives everyone else's - and that's how the three alphas find out she's an omega. Ignoring the fact that we never do get an explanation as to why she randomly passed out (I guess people just black out all willy nilly in this world), one would assume that there would be more repercussions from finally being off of these supposed blockers.

But apparently, it's no different than stopping Flintstone chewables, for all the attention that is paid to this sudden, drastic hormone/pheromone shift that signals an entirely different biology. I've seen more attention paid in contemporary books to a gal going off her birth control, than this book paid to Ms Penelope's beta to omega shift.

Back to the scenting emotions thing - that's the first and last time it seemed to appear, despite the fact that Penelope is no longer on blockers (one would assume) and should be virtually broadcasting her every emotion via her stronger scent, along with the alphas. But no, no more emotionally tinged scents, as if the author just forgot they added that.

And the romance? These people have all the chemistry of gummy bears that subsequently get stuck together from being in your pocket too long. Pocket lint included. This isn't a pack, there's no communication, there's no romance really... it just feels detached and accidental. It's a business deal and it feels like a business deal.

But really, the whole thing so far has been kind of a cluster, including editing and stupid little things like a professional baker who doesn't seem to know how to whisk large quantities of eggs without spilling them everywhere?? Or Penelope claiming she's never had an O, but during an intimate act when asked if she's "close" she says, "Yes".... but how tf would she know if she's never had one??

I don't know. The whole thing was just poorly thought out - not enough detail where it matters, too much detail where it doesn't, and a complete and utter failure on the OA front.

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Sadie Moss!

Craving Their Omega is the fourth standalone book in the Knot Her Pack series and tells the story of Penelope and her men, Dominic, Tristan and Xavier.

It's been a while since I read a Paranormal Romance, so it was nice to finally read one again. I'm a big fan of Sadie Moss's books, she has a talent for writing interesting Reverse Harem books! The Knot Her Pack series is a standalone book series, each book is about a different pack but it's all set in the same Alpha/Beta/Omega world.

Craving Their Omega tells the story of Penelope. She's been presenting as a Beta even though she's an Omega. She applies for a new job at a company run by three Alphas, Dominic, Tristan and Xavier. Her life changes after she gets the job, but is it for the better? There are some secrets and feelings are also getting into the mix... I really liked the storyline and the characters, and I really wanted to know how the story was going to end.

Craving Their Omega was such an enjoyable read, and it was nice to read a Paranormal Romance in between all the Hockey Romance I've been reading. The story was good paced, the characters were interesting and there was lots of spice. I really liked reading about Penelope and her men, and it was fun to get back into this world. If you like reading Paranormal Romance and you like reading about multiple partners, then the Knot Her Pack series is definitely something for you!

I wanted to love this. In theory it had all the tropes I love. Omegaverse. Marriage of convenience. Billionaire romance. In typical marriage of convenience style Xavier, Tristan, and Dominic have to get married to appease their board. They make the offer to their new assistant Penelope, who accidentally outted herself as an Omega at the office (she was hiding it, for reasons).

The part that drove me CRAZY and really made me not like the story was that in a whirlwind 2 weeks from the initial proposition to the wedding, they learn absolutely nothing about each other. Excuse me, what? How are they supposed to "sell" this as a real marriage to people if they don't even know the family history of the bride and grooms. Like does she have family? Do the guys? Siblings? Things like favorite color or favorite food could be forgiven, but not knowing if the other person has a family or what their family dynamics are is kind of unbelievable. She meets Xavier's siblings at the wedding reception but didn't even know their NAMES or who they were until they told her. Dominic gets mad at her for mentioning his family and asking if they were there. Like sir, seriously? You didn't prepare her at all for this role.

I did love how supportive the guys were of Penelope. They built up her confidence, listened to her talk about her dream of reopening her bakery, and did everything they could to help her achieve her goals. Overall it was a good read, but I really had a hard time getting over the not being prepared by knowing anything about each other, lol.

I love a fake marriage but there were a few things that made me stop reading this:

This book was good but I don't think it's one I'll re-read. I do recommend it if you like marriage of convenience plots. I would also recommend it if you like MMCs who have trauma with relationships and family, MMCs who like to spoil their girl with gifts and spice. I would also recommend if you want a FMC who is not skinny, has a broken past, imposter syndrome (it's a marriage of convenience), and a big secret.

The good: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ The FMC has a good bit of fun during their heat but they keep being spicy even when it's over. the HEA is good even if it's short. the characters are decently well rounded and we get to see things from the men's perspective. The secrets the FMC is holding onto created a nice plot twist too and, although I was worried for a bit, there is NOT a 3rd act breakup.

The not great: Miscommunication troupe. Denial is not a river in Egypt here and while I understand that secrets and the fake marriage is important to the plot, its just not a favorite troupe of mine. It was also a bit tricky to see who the main big bad villain(s) would be here as there were a few candidates who showed up throughout the story. I also feel like the way that most of them were resolved was a bit too swift to the point of almost being anticlimatic. Almost.I also wish we saw more of the process that happened between the men as they go from headstrong individuals to a cohesive pack unit.

Omegaverse/ workplace romance/ marriage of convenience/ forced proximity/ OW/OM drama/ found family/ MFM/ MFMM/ HEA

Trigger warning: verbal abuse/ violence/ vandalism/ exhibitionalism/ trauma/ death of a loved one/ neglectful parenting/ abuse/ abandonment/ bullying(not MCs)

I liked the characters in this story but I wish we had gotten more of a background on them. They were all interesting but I think with a more in depth dive into who they were before their marriage, it would have made understanding their motivations easier.

There was OW drama as well as OM drama from multiple sources and, while, I was happy when the OW/ OM drama was resolved, the additional OM drama at the end felt like a bit much.

The spice in this book was also extremely spicy. Once they broke past that barrier, nothing was holding them back from claiming the FMC as theirs. Sometimes the spicy scenes aren’t well written and it takes you out of the story but this book didn’t have that issue.

In the end, I’m glad it all their issues got sorted out and that there was no third act breakup. All of the MMCs were absolutely devoted to the FMC and it made reading their love story so much more enjoyable.

This book was pretty good for the most part. There were some editing issues and some things going on with the story that didn't work for me, though.

Editing-wise, I noticed multiple misspelled words. The problem is that the misspellings were actual words, too, so spell check wouldn't have caught them. Just seems like nobody proofread this beforehand.

Story-wise, most of the book was stretched out for them to get to know each other. There was good buildup to her ex, as well, so he wasn't totally unexpected. But! Where the heck did this other pack come from? It was unexpected and unnecessary. Either have an ex or another pack, but having both just felt like too much. One of them should have been dropped (my vote is the other pack that came out of nowhere).
With minor restructuring, the author could have built up the ex more and kept the whole gist of what was going on with the other pack. It ended up being too much that was just tacked on to the end.

I doubt I will read this again. I'm not sure if I would recommend it to others.

It's not terrible but the writing didn't really flow well. There was A LOT of telling instead of showing.

Also the omega just wasn't that relatable. She had no real sense of privacy and was far too willing to let the alphas spoil her, especially considering her past. She spent a million dollars on pillows and blankets. Girl what? Were they dusted with gold? Selfish behavior. Oh. I almost forgot when the guys surprised her with a sign for the bakery they purchased for her and.. she didn't like the color. Yikes.

The alphas are confusing as hell. Dominic starts off as a complete dick and then seems to have
a personality transplant. While Tristan seems indifferent in the beginning just to become a dick?

Also the scene where she is teasing the guys in the meeting is so cringe. Wouldn't the other people smell them all? Who acts like that in front of people, especially when she is flirting with billionaires in their business meeting? Come on. It's juvenile, not hot.

The ending seemed rush and honestly hardly made sense. The old pack's access to their life for example. And people believing them.

too slow

H: Xavier Sterling, Dominic Harrington, Tristan Blackwell Owners of Vantage Digital Systems
h: Penelope Dalton
I think the story had a lot of potential but felt flat. I stopped at 31% and seriously nothing has happened at all.
Penelope applied to be an assistant to the 3 owners of Vantage Digital Systems while posing as a beta. Immediately Xavier could tell that she was an omega. They all came into an agreement for her to marry them and stay married for 1yr to help out their company issues w/investors and prevent her from going to ORD and being presented to any interested alpha packs. Great story is  not so far. Here it comes where they keep dragging it. The day to day  scenarios of all of them living together with no actual issues. I wish they would get into why Tristan

good but a lot packed into one

This was a good OV. I enjoyed the characters and the overall premise.
However, this book felt like it was one thing at the beginning, a different thing in the middle, and the ending was a little all over the place. It almost felt like this OV couldn’t decide what kind of OV it wanted to be so it was a mishmash of a lot of types. Honestly between the first half and the second half this book could have been two completely different standalones and probably would’ve made sense.
Now, saying all that, the characters were well developed and the story was interesting enough to capture my attention and keep it despite the hodge podge make up. I would recommend it for someone who is familiar and enjoys OV.

This one’s good, but I still think Claiming Their Omega was the best in Knot Her Pack. I enjoyed the MMCs and the MFC was alright (it was harder to connect with her because she didn’t really do anything that made her shine imo). This wasn’t a book that blew my mind and the ending kind of fell flat for me. There were some spelling mistakes that the editor didn’t catch but it wasn’t too bad to the point it was distracting. What I loved most about this one is that the MFC is curvy and has heterochromia with a birthmark on her face. It’s nice when authors step out of the mold and make characters have their own unique characteristics. Looking forward to more of Sadie’s work!

Loved the story

Usually, I love Sadie Moss's books. She tells great stories and makes her OV's Sweet but with a little angst and drama which is exactly the kind of thing I love. I was initially, pleasantly surprised to see that there was a new installment to the not her pack series but as I began reading I noticed there were a lot of mistakes. And I know that things aren't always perfect, but I don't know, it just felt like to me there were more mistakes in this one then there were in her previous works from this series. Aside from that, the story was great, I love Xavier and Dominic. Penelope kind of drove me crazy a little bit but nothing terrible

2.5⭐ Definitely not one of her best...so mamy spelling errors and words missing. Lots of page filler. Very little happens, very smut based and a plot that definitely needed padded out. This book feels like we got the movie trailer with an extra the end added on. Definitely had a lot of potential. The FMC was annoying and showed little growth after 60% of the book. The MMC weren't actually too bad tho Tristan and Dominic were basically interchangeable. I've read claiming their pack and it was much better.
This is still an okay book. Low angst and hea. Good palate cleanser I guess after some darker reads.

Bit melodramatic, very long compared to the antagonist arc

This baseline story and the main characters are pretty much fine overall. The FMCs background and general personality is just exceeding melodramatic without much reason though. The Wesley plot threads are throw away fluff with absolutely no impact on the storyline beyond making me dislike the FMC for her doormat behavior. The actual antagonist plot line takes approximately 3 pages (I exaggerate but come on, they show up on page 371 of 444 and are resolved by page 415) and leave me with a thousand questions due to the lack of universe building the author gave us. It's an ok read but just falls a bit flat.

I actually quite liked this one. It was an easy read with a little drama that was both something I expected but also not what I expected either, but at the same time it wasn't too heavy. The alphas were absolutely devoted to Penelope, basically worshipped the ground she walked on, and that was my absolute favourite part and the main reason this gets a 4 star over a 3 star rating.

My one issue is that the book definitely needs to be edited. It has quite a few spelling and grammatical errors that I wasn't expecting from this author since I've read several of her works before without that sort of problem.

Didn’t really like this book, I felt like there was really no lead up to the romance, it was all just sexual attraction and then they labeled it love. Which is okay i guess, but I would have wished the FMC to be a little more confident, she struggled a lot with her self image. Towards the end, like maybe 10% left in the book we find out why that is, but I felt like that was to late because I already had formed my opinion on her based on the first 90% of the book. 🙄

The only thing I will say I enjoyed was that at least one of the 3 MMC was a sub and had me giggling when the FMC would show her dominant side with him 😈.
I wish she had that kind of confidence throughout the whole book.

Penelope gets hired at a large tech company, owned by three alphas who aren't actually in a pack. They each had separate businesses until a recent merger. While merging the businesses has been successful, the three have very large personalities so it's been a bit tense.

Penelope has been hiding her omega designation and she accidentally presents in front of the guys. Because the guys had been given a bit of an ultimatum by the board they decide to offer her a solution: fake marry them for a year!

It's a cute story. Pretty easy read. My only complaint was that Penelope got a little bit too whiny for my tastes and the old, awful pack that was after her seemed like a bit of an afterthought as far as drama goes.

maybe 2.5 stars, but still not my favorite. the tension and chemistry between the characters felt thin, and the "villain" story that came in at the eleventh hour felt a little too convenient and a little too easily resolved. it also didn't seem like the FMC spent enough time worrying about her secret past for me, as a reader, to be concerned about it.

in some ways, it felt like the omegaverse parts of the story were thrown in after a normal, contemporary RH story had been finished rather than intentionally included from the story's inception. the details of an omegaverse story weren't really woven into the story as much as they were sat atop it, if that makes sense.

Great story!

I haven't read a reverse Harem story in a long time. Penelope has a traumatic back story you don't really hear about till almost the end. The 3 Alphas, have an amazing tech business, but they can't work as a pack, because they don't have a mate. Penelope comes along at the perfect time, and they get her to agree to be their wife for a year, to make the shareholders happy. Of course as time goes by they grow close, and when she goes into heat, she pleads for all 3 to service her needs. This breaks down the barriers and they get closer . The HEA ending was great.

Penelope and the alphas

Different kind of omegaverse. They are all workers none are a pack and they need to make a pack for work. They spend lots of time apart and work and meetings. Until a sudden heat. Not really dates but tons of spoiling. All have pasts, they learn to love and they get their HEA. I skimmed a lot and that’s not usually my thing but there was a lot of spice scenes and I just didn’t feel the chemistry. I finished it and they did get more in love and it got better it just took a long time.

3rd act drama

Her "secret" was way toodrawm out and how it was portrayed yo happened not in align with business men of this magnitude. They do cyber security among other things and they did have cameras on her place of business? These two bit thugs were able to get the Alphas phone number. I'd like their plan so I can call up any billionaire I want on whim. Anyways... red it sure you'll skip ahead and find things oddly irrelevant. I basically the last 3 chapters and I don't feel like I missed out.

There's no actual plot; it's just a bunch of scenes featuring a very insecure FMC with three alphas.

The nicknames were awful as well. On the FIRST day of the job, one of the MMC's gives the FMC a nickname of "little bird" because she was flapping around in his office making a mess. And of course, she thinks its cute. I mean, who doesn't get all happy when one of the CEO's mocks you to your face?

Knot going to lie, this has quickly moved up to one of my favorite omegaverse reads. I was in a slump when this showed up and it was the perfect remedy! Pen is not your typically shy omega. She has this spark about her and I really like that. Sienna is pure evil and I love what happened to her. I love that it’s not all insta love and the story progresses so perfectly. I definitely recommend this book!

it’s good but not my fave in the series

Doesn’t mean I didn’t buy it though. It’s a nice omega verse novel. The plot is pretty good but it skimmed over or wrapped up parts a bit too quickly on some points and considering it’s not a short book it was slightly disappointing.
I liked the characters though and would happily reread this. I will say the library / party scene is one of the hottest chapters I have ever read and worth reading just for that :)

Sweet

I honestly don’t know why this book isn’t getting more love. Billionaire pack omegaverse isn’t my normal go-to, but I enjoy Sadie Moss. This story was unconventional in a lot of ways that made it fresh, to me. I love how this pack wasn’t a pack to begin with. Too often these stories has everyone just sort of fall together so easily. These guys had to work a little at it and when they finally do, it’s really quite magical. It was a sweet story.

I mean my maybe this is a spoiler, but also, it's romance, and it happens a lot. The talk about how big Tristan was was absolutely not what I wanted. I also didn't super connect with Penelope, like most of the other Knot Her Pack FMCs she just can't get her crap together. Miscommunication is my least favorite trope.

Agree with the other reviews the spice was good. The grammar and pacing of the story need a few more edits. Pick a villan and flesh it out. Don't have two half assed villains.

Knot her pack

Ok, this is a decent easy read omegaverse. There is a decent plot to go along with the many spicy scenes. It is fiction, but really unbelievable in places. The entire undercurrent mystery is a real let down. Also, how on earth does she bake for her shop and still wake up with her alphas every day? Bakers get up at o dark thirty to get ready for their day! Finally in the epilogue she has employees. Grammatically correct for the most part.
