Travis Mallory wasn't expecting to meet the young beauty the day he went to the local High School to put a stop to the dealing that was going on there. As the son of the head of the local cartel, not to mention heading his own crew, he had a reputation which did not involve raiding the kiddie pool. But one look at her tight body and those amazing eyes that seemed to suck him in, and he was a goner. Little did he know that the little innocent was going to be more trouble than any he'd ever faced before.

The book is exactly as the title suggests, a rough ride.
I can't say I loved the hero or the heroine but it was a quick dirty read.
I did not love the way he treated her, but he was mostly nice. However, she was just so wishy washy that I couldn't have cared less what was going on with her.
The sex, was mostly hot except that there was one situation which I was hating the way he treated her! It was hard for me to read it felt like a violation. I was uncomfortable reading that part so that's why I gave it 3 stars.
I don't enjoy punishing sex and especially when the excuse for doing this is weak at best.
Just worth a read but not a reread.

Travis Mallory is the head of his crew, his Father is head of the local Cartel. He goes to a High School in the next town over to put a stop to a new drug that is being sold. Kids are dying & Travis is trying to find out who the big dealer is. While at the school he sees Lydia, an 18 year old student who he is totally attracted to.

I was intrigued by Travis in the Lyon's series so it was great to have his story. Loved everything about it, just wished it was longer.

****Re-read for the 2nd time****
Last read on 9/9/2014

12/21/2016:
I initially gave this 3 stars and after this 2nd read I was toying with the idea of giving it 4 stars, but decided against it. I would've preferred that the book was longer, but it is still a good Jordan Silver read. I must have read this after I read all of the Lyon series (with Colt and Kat) because this runs in parallel with #4 of that series Lyon's Heart.

Again, I did really like the story, but I think it could've been a little more detailed - maybe start at the beginning of how they met and go from there. The start of the book was after Travis and Lydia had already met and were in the middle of their relationship. I would love it if she updated this story and added more.

Travis Mallory walked a fine line as it was but when he saw Lydia, he knew she was his soul mate. Travis's life quickly becomes all about protecting Lydia, but he still has to resolve the issue he went to her school for, a drug that is killing innocents.

This was okay but I felt like I was missing some of the story. You are just sort of launched into the middle of their relationship, they do go back and revisit how they met. I did think Lydia was a little young, she acted more so then the other heroines in Jordan Silvers book. Good concept for a story though.

I have to say that I am really surprised with this book, with my own review actually.

It has been a while since I started reading Mrs. Silver's books, so I'm already used to the lack of editing and stuff, but I have to say, this one's got me. I was expecting a lot of errors, but surprisingly they were minimal. A missing letter here and there, a paragraph with weird punctuation but that's it, no "I lost my brain-breath reading" paragraph or anything like that.

Well, at least not that I noticed.

I give it 4.5 stars because, well, you have to celebrate when good things happen. The girl was a bit annoying, but considering her age, I can let that pass.

Breeding in the end always gets me going, so...

So, let's celebrate.

Another good one from Jordan Silver

Another good one from Jordan Silver

The editing was better in this one than in some of the others I've read. Good story, not as much sex as in some of the other stories. I liked the fact that it was only from Travis' POV. I just wish the story could've been told in order from the first time they met.

So I read about Travis during the Lyon series. It took me a few minutes to realize it was the same character.

This book is a very short read so I did feel the story line was very rushed especially at the time hop where they now have a baby. But at least there were some steamy sections.

Loved it

Loved Travis! Travis at 26, is a successful business man. A bad ass biker and son of the head of the area faction. When a new and deadly drug hits his town he and his crew trace it to the neighboring town's high school. Their Travis finds his other half. Lydia, the 18 year old daughter of the police chief.
Lydia was raised by her widowed father. She is smart, sheltered, a little immature and sensitive. Travis just claimed her.
A fun fast paced and steamy story. Ties into Lyon's Heart. Set in the same universe as SEAL Team 7, The Bikers Baby Girl, Man of Steel, Bad Boy, The Billionaire and Mancini's Way.

Disappointed

This adds to the storyline of Lyon and his surrounding friends. I was a little disappointed about the shallowness of the girl. There was so much depth that could have been added that I was disappointed.

Lyon's continuation

This story was more of a continuation of scenes in the middle of the Lyon's series. It was an okay overall. Lydia was a bit of a brat and a handful. I had a hard time taking Travis seriously when he was such a push-over with her.

Usually, I enjoy Jordan Silver's quick steamy reads. For me, this one was missing depth; there needed to be a bit more character even for the style of works.

Travis and Lydia are a hoot and a half. Alpha male meets stubborn young woman and falls hard and fast. Great characters, fun plot (we get to see a tiny bit of Colton Lyon) and good writing. Fun story Jordan Silver!

I loved this story. And how all these characters intertwine with each other makes some of these stories I’ve already read more sense.

Short and sweet

Very short story, but filled in some holes in the bigger story! Intermission story is what I'd call it, but still good!

The thin line between life and death

I like that he is hard-core when necessary and soft, passionate and very protective when it comes to his family.

Rough

Another fun read, this one with a bonus!
I wasn’t expecting it to tie in with a book I’d already read when the puzzle piece fit in with “Lyon”, my first Jordan Silver book. 💖💖💖💖💖

I love Alpha male stories. I found it amazing how the author was able to show the soft side yet able to keep Travis a very alpha male. Seriously a man who will break a guy’s nose and arm without blinking after the jerk assaulted his girl and spend 3 days taking care of his girl because she got really bad menstrual cramps. Yayyyy. This may not be for everyone considering she is still in high school and most of the time immature but that made this story more believable even though she’s legal (18) and he is 26, (not a dirty old man) I felt he always treated her with respect and so did his crew. Sex scenes were raw and hot. A few minor editing errors but HEY have you seen some of my reviews? Yeah so I’m not going to cast any stones here.
