I knew from the first book that Nino was funny but baybeeee he is HILARIOUS in this book. I loved how the author wrote herself into the book. That Prologue and the ending of the Epilogue were nice scenes.
I said I couldn’t wait to hear Nino’s story, and it did not disappoint.
This is book ✌🏾from this author and she’s off to a great start. Nino is a fool in the best way! I really enjoyed him in Book 1, and I definitely loved getting his full story here. There were moments I was literally hollering at the things that came out of this man’s mouth. Just stupid!I’m happy he found love and brought it into her life, too. Now I’m heading straight into Book 3.
I do have to say, the female narrator didn’t do it for me. But thank God for Myles Washington he made it work! The storyline was solid and funny enough to carry it through.
SIDENOTE (aka “Don’t come for my stars!”): Just a quick heads-up—my ratings are based on whether I’d reread the book or add it to my personal collection, not the quality of the story itself. So here’s how I roll:
5 🤩 = I’m obsessed with everything—the storyline, the author, and the narrators! I read it yearly and own ALL the copies: physical, digital, and Audible. I can basically recite this book. It lives in my private library. 4 🌟 = Loved the story, the author, and the narrator (if it’s audio). I’d happily reread it when I need a solid comfort read. 3 ✨ = Enjoyed the story, the author, and definitely the narrators. A great addition to my yearly reading challenge—likely to revisit if it’s part of a series I need to refresh.
Will be adding Riley to my authors to keep an eye out for!! I blew through this audible version during my move & it was so hard to not listen—even when I was wanting to go to sleep. lol
