The Secret in book three in The Promise series. It is not a standalone, you must read The Promise and The Choice first. Each one of the books ends with a cliffhanger and the next one picks up where the one before left off.
I debated how to write this review. I try never to write spoilers in my reviews. There is a big jaw dropping cliffhanger at the end of book 2 (The Choice), which plays a big part in The Secret. My review is going to be a little vague because if you haven't read the first books, I don't want my review to spoiler them for you.
The Secret picks up where The Choice left off, with that bomb of a revaluation. After reading The Choice was definitely wondering how Kate Benson was going to pull off a believable explanation of what had happened. Oh yes she did a great job pulling you into the story and making it flow perfectly.
Sophie has a lot thrown at her in this story. She proves again how much a strong character she is. I loved Chase even more in this story. He is so strong and supported through everything they are going through. Some stuff from Sophie's past comes up, which I was surprised at.
I loved reading more from Chase, Sophia, Drake and Ana and can't wait to read to next one. Of course, there's a great cliffhanger at the end.

This is the third in the Promises Series, and I foolishly thought it was the last, so when it just ended on a cliffhanger, I may have screamed quietly inside! You definitely need to read the first two to fully appreciate the story - and what a great story it is. If you haven't, stop reading and go and get them, because inevitably I will mention stuff you do not yet want to know...
I read the first two a number of months ago, but slotted right back into the storyline, as it was strong enough to have remained on my mind all that time. I have to say that not many books can do that, I would normally have to reread them to remind myself of the main characters etc. The suspense that is maintained throughout the book, had me stopping for breathers. And the ending ... Well clearly there is a lot more to come. Chase remains my total hero, and Sophie finally seems to get that too. The interactions between Drake and Ana continue to entertain, as well as grow as a couple. All in all a good book, but now I need Ms Benson to hurry along with the next instalment - please!

What a journey Kate takes you on with these five great characters.
Sophie's life really sucks at the start of this book. She has a lot of feelings to deal with and her past comes back to haunt her.
Chase and Sophie happily engaged and Drake and Ana all gets blown to pieces when Jack returns, what a shock for Sophie and Ana.
Sophie still loves Jack and Chase but finally the truth comes out and why he went back to the army when she asked him not to.
Meeting Sophie's mum, boy was she an evil woman belittling Sophie at every opportunity. Thank goodness Chase and Jack stood up to her and sent her packing.
Loved the ending and can't wait to find out who it is!!!!!

Received as an ARC in exchange for an honest review from addicted to books and authors! This book was incredible I loved the relationship between Chase and Sophia and then wham ex fiancé Jack comes back from the dead. Sophia was devastated when she thought Jack had died it took her years to be able to open herself up for love and when she meets Chase she knows he is her one and only. When Jack returns she finds herself torn and confused she still loves Jack and the secret they share is one she never wants anyone else to know.
This book was amazing and full of emotion I found myself feeling it all. Kate Benson did not disappoint.

This was an awesome incredible story that I could not put down no matter what. It is an incredible story that will keep you interested and entertained from beginning to end. It has amazing characters that you cannot help but fall in love with and will need more of. It moves along at a great pace from beginning to end, never leaving you hanging. This has to be read, there is no doubt about it. Loved it.

OMG! I don't even know what to say! This was such an AMAZING story. It catches you on the first page, and you just have to know what happens! I was not expecting the wide variety of feelings throughout the book, and was definitely not expecting to throw my Nook! However, it was simply wonderful, and I can't wait to see what Kate comes up with next!

The Secret is another rip-roaring, emotional ride of a story from the amazing Kate Benson. Like all the other books in the series, it takes you on so many twists and turns that you are an emotional mess by the time you finish the last page. I don’t know about other readers, but this is my favorite kind of book!
The third book in the series opens up right where the last one left off. I am writing this review a bit differently in that I will not be writing a lengthy synopsis. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone else who hasn’t had the opportunity to read this fantastic series. The only thing I will mention is Sophie and Chase will have to fight like they have never had to fight before if their relationship is going to survive.
One of the aspects of this story that struck me and affected me were the characters. With the emotional upheaval that occurs at the end of the last book and the beginning of this one, all the main characters are forever altered by it. Therefore, they all go through difficulty and ultimately are change. Some characters, like Ana, I got annoyed with at times. Yet, I could also understand exactly where she was coming from. Benson has always done a fantastic job of exploring each character on deeper levels with each book she writes in the series. However, with this one, she goes into overdrive. There are secrets about Sophie that are revealed that make the other characters, and myself, see her in a different light. It makes me love her even more. While I love Chase, who wouldn’t after reading these books, Sophie is the driving force behind them. She is a young girl that has been knocked down by life it seems at every turn, yet she pulls herself back up and becomes even stronger. She appears fragile at first glance, but she is the ultimate survivor and heroine. She is a character that will ALWAYS remain with me.
After every book I read by Kate Benson, I have to wait sometimes days, sometimes weeks before I can write a review that will do her any kind of justice. She writes such emotional books that have left me crying my eyes out, but she keeps bringing me back for more. Not only that, I think she has no more surprises to bring out, then BANG, she has done it again. Then, I am waiting on pins and needles for the next journey she is going to take me on. The emotions she brings out in her readers along with the yearning to see what she is going to do next make her an incredibly talented author and one to watch and add to your reading list. By the way, Kate, I loved the reference to your other series, The Escort, as the book Chase reads to Sophie. Nice, little hidden gem!

Seriously if you haven't read the Promise Series you need to start. They are addictive, suspenseful, emotional and certainly secretive!
We have followed the story of Sophie and her healing journey to love again after loosing her once fiancé, Jack. But what happens when you find love, healed your heart, and moved on only to have your past come back to haunt you?
You freaking have a mental breakdown is what you do! I can not believe the struggles this girl has gone through and the turmoil she has endured is heart breaking. I was literally crying 5% into the book!
Not only do you go through Sophie's struggles you will also feel for Chase and Jack. Their inner demons come out and their insecurities are exposed! You can't help but want to take a shot yourself to deal with the drama that comes about!
AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON SOPHIE'S MOM!! One word...BITCH!
Having been through some recent heart ache similar to Sohpie and Jack's I was a mess reading this and just love Kate's style of incorporating all these points of views and keeping them straight. It's amazing! But be warned...There is an ending that will leave you hanging and wanting more!

The Secret is another great read in The Promise Series. I wasn't sure what to expect after being left with another cliffhanger in The Choice. But can I just say Wow! We know that there has to be more to Sophie's past than she reveals because it is like pulling teeth from her when trying to get her to open up about herself. We know she is afraid that if people know about her past that they will leave her too like has happened to her before.
Chase has been nothing but supportive of Sophie from the beginning. He lets her take things slow and divulge information at her own pace. Even he knows there is more to Sophie's past history than she is coming clean with. What will happen when those closest to her and love her find out what she has been hiding. Will they turn and leave like she is afraid of or do they stay and help her through what she struggles with?
This series has been leading us on an emotional roller coaster ride. There is great chemistry amongst the characters. They make us laugh and cry with what they go through because in real life we experience similar circumstances and can empathize with them.
I recommend you read The Secret after reading the first two books. Find out what happens to Sophie and Chase when her past collides with her present and future. Awesome series!

Amazing!!! How the hell Kate keeps writing thease books that make my world stop, i do not know. I never ever want her to stop. She has a talent and half thats for sure.
Ok so my last review of book two the choice made me wanna go to the local airport, jump on a plane and pay Miss Benson a visit. Well again this is how i feel. I just didnt want this book to stop.
In the secret there are so many emotions it made me happy, sad, angry the list could go on... i really didnt know which way it was going to go and i can see and understand the way it went.
Kate has a talent for grabbing you from the very start of each book. I have grown attached to all the characters from the promise series. It was hard reading sophie in that situation noone should ever have to go through with the shock she had go through from an unexpected person but kate wrote it beautifully and the emotion was raw and heartbreaking and made a big lump in my throat and grab the tissues.
I dont want to spoil with spoilers and ruin for people. Its hard to write this review as some people havent read The Promise and The Choice.
I will say im major happy we get another book. If u havent read the promise series please do its a beautiful set and your missing out..

So Jack is back in my much anticipated book The Secret! Am I happy? No! Did I end up liking Jack? Yes!
Chase, Sophia, Drake and Ana are back! Thank god! The queen of cliffhangers has the gang back in The Secret and Jack is back from the dead!
The Secret is really a FANTASTIC read! Kate has grown so much in her writing and I have to say this is her best book yet! At least I think so!
You get sucked in from the first page and you don't want to put this book down. Chase, Sophia, and Jack have so much going on and to work thru. Chase is still amazingly hot! Yep I'm total #TeamChase!
Jack grew on me! He really is a sweetie. I did find myself feeling bad for him!
Drake and Ana never disappoint! They are as hot as ever! And they sure have a relationship like no other!
I have to say one of my favorite parts in the book is when Chase and Sophia hop in his truck and asks what song Sophia wants to listen too! She doesn't care and he plays a song that totally made her blush and left me giggling!
Overall this is a great book! I highly recommend this book! Can't wait for more!!!

I had not read the first two books before I began this one. I was scared I might be missing information I needed, but I wasn't. With that being said, I still bought the first two since this one captivated me from the beginning.
Sophie Ryan's life seems to be on the road to happiness until someone from her past expectantly shows up. She is now torn between two different paths. As I read, I wasn't sure which path I wanted to Sophie to take. Usually I know and have my mind made up, but not this time. I was torn!
I won't give much away since the synopsis doesn't. All I can say, this needs to be added to your TBR list! I could not put this book down and cannot wait to see what is in store for Sophie and Ana next.

Omg!!! I really don't know what to say except FABULOUS Kate has done it again with this book. The Secret picks up where The Choice finishes and simply had me hooked from page one, the love Sophie and Chase share is definitely put to the test in this book and we also see what Sophie has had to go through with her mother all these years. I love all the nick names Sophie and Chase use to each other their so sweet. I was so surprised when the secret was revealed but if you wanna find out for yourselves you definitely need to be one - clicking this series it definitely deserves more than 5 stars.

It was an emotional read... I held my breath, cried, laughed and blushed so hard.
Jack came back from the dead. Two years passed so a lot of things changed. Indeed, Sophie has moved on and is engaged to Chase now.
How do you cope from losing the love of your life because she thought you were dead? Life is unfair sometimes and Kate decided to write a story about it and show us that is it still possible to move on even if it's hard.
I seriously can't wait for book number 4! Yes people, there's going to be another book !

Is your heart pounding after you finished The Choice? I know mine was and I couldn't wait to know... What's The Secret? And, obviously, Chase or Jack? I'm am solidly a team Chase girl, but every moment of The Secret, whether Jack or Chase, is gut wrenching AND heart warming. Who gets to love and be loved like that twice? My heart hurt, I cried for every decision Sophie had to make.
Of course, if you are getting to The Secret, then you know Kate is the QUEEN of cliff hangers, and she doesn't disappoint!

Thanks Wicked Reads for a free book to read and review. Is it me or is that cover creepy.....lol. The saga continues in the secret, and I enjoyed reading it. The last book left us with a HUGE cliffhanger, I couldn't imagine having to go through someone's death only to find them alive. So it was pretty exciting to start reading this and I was heart broken. Jack and Sophia's relationship vs Chase and Sophia. I was torn but towards the end it all made sense. Then the secret.....well I didn't see that one coming until we were almost told it. I still say anything can happen between these couples and I had a good time reading it. Overall entertainment is four stars.

Kate smashed it with the with third book in the promise series. It was beautifully written and i adored this book. My favourite so far out of the set. She made me fall in love with her characters even more in this one. Chase is the true gentlemen and Jack is also. My heart broke in this book for three people not just one..
Left me wondering how the hell ud cope in that situation and Kate tackled the writing perfectly the emotions were pouring out of my kindle screen.
If you havent read this series do so as its a must read set.

Kate Benson continues to hone her craft and result is a great novel. As a stand alone or being lost in the series, The Secret delivers page after page after page. Benson takes the readers on an emotional journey that does not let up until the end of the book. The main characters are beautifully intertwined to create the third installment that is as captivating as the first book. Not knowing where what direction Benson will take each of the main characters makes putting down The Secret next to impossible.

The Secret is an interesting read.
The story of Sophie continues.
This book rocked my world.
The book is where The Choice left off.
The story, gah!!
I was shocked!
Dang! The surprised on who showed up and I was curious on what and how will Sophie handle things.
As the story goes by, another heart stopping
surprise will happen.
I was torn for Sophie in a sense that the two people she loved will be in her life.
And who will she choose? Gah!!
The way the story ended is great.
Dang! I ca't wait what will happen next!

Holy shit! I wanted to throw my iPad so many times tonight reading this book! I laughed, I cried, I gasped with surprise and I LOVED EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF IT!! I will never get tired of saying to friends who need book recommendations, "You have to read this series! It's amazing!" You better get writing Ms. Benson or you may have a herd of fans after you! I absolutely cannot wait for the next one. Well done!!!!

I just love this series to pieces. This author really knows how to leave you wanting more. The Secret didn't disappoint in that regard. The love between all of the characters just continues to pour from the pages with each and every turn. This book has it all, romance, hot sex, and suspense. You won't be disappointed with this read. You will laugh, cry and scream once you get to the end. Great job Kate!!!!

I received this for an honest review and I have to say this whole series just blew me away!!! Especially this book. I fell in love in The Promise and pulled more in by The Choice and this one OMG fanfreakingtastic!!!!
This is not a standalone and is very important that you read The Promise and The Choice first. All I am going to say is I am 100% #TeamChase LOVE LOVE!!! I can not wait for the next one!!!

Wow Kate Benson you did it again! I'm not sure where to begin but I definitely know why this was one on my list of next most important download! This book covered everything and was absolutely a grand slam! I do not want to give any spoilers so everyone you NEED TO READ THIS! just perfect a perfect book 5 beautiful stars!

Wow so Kate left us in ultimate limbo in book 2....... I spent the first part of this book worrying who sophie was going to choose....I don't want to ruin it for you.... But in my opinion she made the right choice, I read this book so fast and was very anxious when Kate informed me there would in fact be another book (despair) ..... Coild this story last another book???? Oh yes it can

Omg the stuff that goes down in this book! DEFINITELY a page turner that will have you screaming NO at the top of your lungs! I'll admit that as I was reading it I got really mad at Kate a few times lol. But as she has said, these characters have a mind of their own! On to book 4 now! Let's see if my guess about that ending is correct!

Kate has once again blown me away with the third book in The Promise series, The Secret. Heart in the mouth is away to explain how this story will make you feel, I couldn't put this book down till the end. Kate has totally excelled her self with The Secret. It's a must read series.
