This was interesting to read a little over a week after Slot was sacked by the Liverpool hierarchy. Slot is a good manager - his record at Cambuur, Alkamaar, Feyenoord, and Liverpool prove that. He deserves plaudits for the way he improves teams and players every 👏 single 👏 place 👏 he 👏 goes 👏
However, Slot has never faced a campaign like 25/26 (taking place after the conclusion of this book). His success has ironically been the thing that held him back - how can you know how to overcome adversity if all you ever know is victory?
