Before the power. Before the obsession. Before she became Lysette’s greatest rival—Siobhan Cooke was just a girl trying to survive.
Growing up in the streets of Cork, Ireland, Siobhan learned early that the world is cruel and survival comes at a cost. When fate leads her to Eíren Connolly, an enigmatic man with power beyond imagination, she sees a chance for more than just survival—she sees a new life. But every gift comes with a price, and every choice shapes the future.
A tale of dark ambition, dangerous attraction, and the pursuit of power, Siobhan is a gripping novella set in the Legacy of the Gods universe.
📖 Perfect for fans of dark fantasy, morally complex characters, and stories where love and power collide.
This novella did exactly what I didn’t want it to do… How dare you make me feel anything other than complete hatred towards Siobhan!
But in all seriousness, this short story was beautifully done. It gave us just enough insight into why Siobhan is the way she is. We got some insight into her trauma and tragic backstory, and it left me heartbroken.
I don’t outright hate her anymore, and I’m glad to understand a bit more about the complexities of her character - including the “why” behind her desperation to join the Black Roses just days after turning 18.
This was the perfect length for a quick villain origin story!
💕A fantastic look at how Siobhan Cooke, the most hated villain of Dominion of Magic came to be at Eiren’s side. The broken girl who discovers not only her blossoming magical powers, but a powerful man who could give her everything she ever desired… almost.
The big question is, will you still hate her after you read her backstory?
My personal suggestion would be to read this as it was published - after Dominion of Magic, but before Legacy of the Gods.
