Ryan
I don’t think I’ll fall in love with anyone—no one’s that interesting. But Aria bets that if I start dating, I’ll definitely catch feelings for someone. I have better things to focus on, but life’s been pretty boring lately, so I accepted her challenge.
What I didn’t consider is that, in the process, I’d be seeing her constantly—and now I’m a hundred percent sure I won’t fall for any of the dates she sets me up with.
Because I’m already falling for her.

Aria
I’ve been careful with my heart—keeping it locked away, guarded, untouchable. But Ryan? He’s making that impossible.
With every teasing smirk, every late-night conversation, and the way he looks at me like he already knows I’m his, he’s slipping past my defenses, piece by piece. This was supposed to be a game, a bet to prove a point. But now, every touch, every stolen glance feels like a dangerous temptation.
I don’t know when I stopped pretending. I just know that falling for Ryan Carson might be the one risk I’m not ready to take.

About the author

A.M. .

A.M. is a Costa Rican author who turns the stories constantly popping up in her head into something others can enjoy. She brings a little comedy into her books whenever she can, because humor has always been her best friend.

Each of her characters has a personality, a history, and a life of their own, but she still likes to weave little pieces of herself into them. As a Latina, queer writer, representation matters to her, too, and you’ll find that reflected throughout her different series.

And while she may not consider herself a professional author, she pours her heart into every book, constantly learning, growing, and improving along the way.

When she’s not lost in fictional worlds, she’s at home with her son, probably reading, plotting, or pretending she doesn’t have a mile-long TBR.

I'm OBSESSED

The chemistry, the yearning, and the delicious banter of these two are absolutely top-tier goals.
New book boyfriend added to the list. ✅️

Novela entetenida

Bookish Baddie Lands Lawyer

A delicious take on high stakes lawyer and rough around the edges girl next door romance.

The "find each other dates" bit it such a cute dynamic, and the doubts that each of them share about their own worth and capabilities are incredibly closely observed. Relatable (apart from the vast inheritance) and so so vivid!

A.M. you are an inspiration, and Ryan and Aria were such a delight to meet and get to know! 💜💜💜

I like Aria. She's got moxi and can handle herself. And Ryan, for all his bravado, he's a goner. This read fun to read.

The start got me intrigued and who doesn’t love a good cliche storyline. Then it did get draggy midway and took a bit more effort for me to finish this book, but there was an attempt for plot developments besides the romance aspect.

Not bad!

This book was such a drag to read. The author went back and forth on the same issues too many time and sometimes the main characters thinking was illogical. e.g the male lead wondering if he had feelings for the lady but he literally said he did a chapter earlier. It would have been a cute read as a novella but there wasn't enough content to be a full novel so things got draggy. Plus the constant repetition, "he rolled up his sleeves to show his tattoos; he opened up two buttons to show his tattoos." We got it in the first 2 chapters, he has tatoos and shows them off. Oh also, the overuse of the word "smirk." Plus some scenes were completely unnecessary, like some with the friends hanging out, just so the female lead realizes she loves her friends? Yeah, a frustrating read that could have been so much better.
