Troy Ezekiel Salazar has mastered the Art of Seduction. It's so easy for him to get any girl he wants that it has become boring. Wala siyang sineryoso sa lahat ng babaeng naaakit niya. Naniniwala siyang there's no such thing as romantic love. For him, there's only seduction.
Nagulo ang perpektong buhay niya nang makilala niya si Trisha Roncesvalles, an average girl na hindi kapansin-pansin. With her signature sneakers, t-shirt, and bleached shorts, she can easily blend in with the crowd.
Out of boredom, sinubukan ni Troy na turuan si Trisha na akitin ang gusto nitong lalaki. Troy thought it would be easy to teach her his ways, but the master somehow finds himself becoming the student and ends up being trained for love himself.
Jonahmae Pacala (publishing as Jonaxx) was never fond of reading longnovels during her elementary years but found a deep connection with sshort sad stories. She discovered her flair for writing at the early age of ten. What was once a hobby has now grown into a passion for writing online.
First and foremost, I want all of you to know that Yes. Yes, I am a Wattpad freak. I am a sucker for KathNiel (a Filipino love team) fan fiction and I read other stories sometimes.
Like this one.
Aaaaaah! TROY EZEKIEL SALAZAR.
Woah. This guy. The playboy turned into a softie. And it will squish your heart so hard when you get to read this guy's line. I mean, woot.
One thing to summarize this story:
This story moves around Trisha Rocesvalles and Troy Ezekiel Salazar. It started with a desperate blackmail move (popular in Wattpad) by Trisha to get into an internship to Le Mercelle hotel. Then, Troy wanted to teach Trisha "Art of Seduction" techniques for her crush, Hotel Manager Jayden Corpuz to notice her. Troy the Playboy's techniques are tried and tested and boy, did they work! But along the way, Troy and Trisha did something unexpected - fall for each other.
I tell you this love triangle is messed up!
I don't know who to side with because you will feel the pain from Jayden, the love from Troy and the confusion from Trisha. There are so many raw and heartbreaking moments from this book. There are so many funny lines and painfully sweet scenes between these two.
I am a hopeless romantic and I am a sucker for wounded heroes like Troy. So, I can not explain how awesome this is for me.
This book was actually the first book I read from Jonaxx. I can clearly see the difference and how she improved when it comes to her writing. Well it was explained that Training To Love was one of her first stories. The plot was good, it was not predictable and very true to life. The story tackles cheating. Cheating was always been a choice, and it shouldn’t be tolerated. I don’t feel like this story romanticized cheating, as it also served as a lesson to the readers on what are the possible repercussions and consequences of your actions. Another one is that, Love was indeed powerful to the point that I can actually change a person’s point of view and how they see things. Overall, I enjoy the book and looking forward to read other books from Jonaxx! Thank you Troy and Trisha.
i forgot how easy it is to read a wattpad book kasi isang upuan ko lamang talaga ito and nakaka enjoy basahin dialogue sa isip ko 🤣 i already read this when i was in junior highs chool but re-read it again for a specific prompt (read a story that has a love story element) sa sinalihan kong challenge.
I love this book despite of its questionable contents. But I think the author wants us to see how your decisions can affect everyone around you and I think she incorporated that in this book.
Here are some contents of the book that people may misunderstood.
1. Cheating— When Trisha cheated on her boyfriend Jayden, the author showed how much it could ruin someone. From the boyfriend who got cheated on, Trisha who cheated, Troy whom she cheated with and to their families and friends.
2. Blackmailing— Blackmailing someone is never okay and it was clearly shown in the book.
3. Pressure— Jayden unconsciously pressured Trisha into getting in a relationship with him by asking her to be his girlfriend infront of his parents. She said yes and it resulted to a very big problem.
4. Deciding with unsure feelings
Abt Characters
Trisha— Very immature and indecisive, she also victimize herself countless of times.
Jayden— Too hard. Never changes opinion and always thinks he's right.
Troy— Poor him he just fell in love but like Trisha he is also the one in the wrong.
Tbh reading this book needs critical thinking to actually grasp the real idea that the author wants to send. There's no in between always wrong and right, you can take it the wrong way or the right way depending on how you comprehend it. So be careful in taking ideas!
I also get why people doesn't like this book but for me personally I really like it!

Remember the old days feeling kilig to this kind of characters. But as time gone by, I was able to distinguised the red and green flags and this story has major red flags. Still, I enjoyed it and really learned a lot.
One of my first stories that I read. It revolves around the hotel, the hotel manager, the heir of the hotel and a intern. The ending is both good and bad. Hero got in accident and treated heroine cold. The heroine goes outside the country and she was thinking why the hero treats her like that. And then suddenly he proposed. Troy proposed with a ring engraved "semper fidelis" and for me it's almost romantic. I named my hamster after the Troy because the hero's name is so handsome.

This is her only work that I didn't like. The female lead is kind of annoying. I really hate it when people uses love as an excuse to make mistakes.
Cheating is a choice, it can never be justified no matter what. I can never understand people who choose to cheat and hurt their current partners just because they found someone better. If you don't want the relationship anymore, then leave. Finish it. Go out. No, love cannot justify cheating. Not now. Not ever.
Surprisingly, I thought I had already moved on to this kind of wattpad stories but nah, still giving me the kilig vibes.
There are very visible red flags on this ( well most of the wattpad books I've grown up to) , as human being with a little bit of substance, it is kinda disturbing, but as a reader? I don't know what red flags are, and they did not stop me for buying the other recommendations like the story of Jaden and Sunny.
I am in love with this book!!! I wanna read more of Jonaxx books, matagal tagal din bago makapagbasa ulit ng storya nya.
Zero, actually. Okay yes, it’s realistic and it portrays how cheating can affect everything in your goddamned life but please, need I say that THEY. SHOULDN’T. HAVE. ENDED. UP. TOGETHER. If she so badly wanted to promote that, then she shouldn’t have them end up together. 🤷🏻♀️
Trisha is a bitch. Troy is a fucking pussy. Trisha even slapped Cha in WDYHM. The audacity.

I'm a certified JSL and I could drop 5 stars to all of her in a snap. But this story's sus for me. Lol. The main characters need serious character development. Also, the idea of cheating lies here bothered me. Nah.

This made me realize that lads’ love & affection could be deep as the ocean as well. It is not only us, women, who love our partners so much. Love makes us do things we thought we wouldn’t do.
This is absolutely one of my favorite stories in Wattpad. Yeah, you read it right. Wattpad again. Hahaha, did I ever told you that I’m a wattpad freak? Back with the book, I first read this story in Wattpad and was happy to know that it was finally published. It was actually recommended from a friend of mine. We both have the same taste when it comes to Tagalog Romance novel, so I gave it a shot. And I’m glad I did. I first read “Why do you hate me?” by the same author and just found out that it was connected with this story. Well, it is actually recommended to read this book first before trying the latter. But no worries, for the latter is still understandable even if you haven’t read this book yet.
I can’t really recall how many times I smiled and fell in love with Troy (main male character) over and over again. It was a well written story. I don’t even think there’s something I can complain of. This is absolutely not your typical cliché story. The story line was great and the plot is beautifully executed. No dull moments, only “kilig” moments. There are of course a lot of extra sweet lines in the story but I salute the author for not letting it sounds too cheesy or too corny.
Any complains or reactions about the main characters? Well, I don’t have any negative comments. All I can say is that, Trisha (main female character), habang hair mo te! (hehehe). And to the ever gorgeous and hot Troy, OMG! Will you be mine instead? Hehehe.
I found this story really different. Why different? For most Tagalog Romance novel that I’ve read have this tendency on making simple things complicated. I mean, the author didn’t make some petty issues to be more complicated so that the main characters would fight or the other one would get jealous. Sometimes those things always make me feel stupid for reading those stupid stories. In this book, all scenes were perfectly executed. The words and explanation and introduction of characters were very brief yet precise.
Two thumbs up for this wonderful story. I think I’m up for adding Jonaxx to my lists of favorite authors!
Final Thoughts
What else can I say? Well, read this book and be ready to be swept away.
