Eight cozy murder mysteries set in the beautiful county of Somerset.
Running a hotel is hard enough — but when murder checks in, Honey Driver finds herself juggling crime scenes, larger than life suspects, and a distractingly handsome detective who doesn’t appreciate her meddling.
MEET YOUR SLEUTH Honey Driver isn’t sure about becoming the new police liaison for the Bath Hotels Association — especially when DS Steve Doherty is her opposite number. She’s already got enough on her hotel owner, businesswoman and single mum. She’s always had a tendency to follow her instincts, even when they lead her into trouble. Not above giving a rude motorcyclist the finger, calling out condescending detectives, or standing her ground in the face of danger. So, this just might be her calling. Because in her world, murder might be bad for business, but solving it? That’s just another day in the life of Honey Driver.
THE SETTING Nestled in the rolling hills of Somerset, the beautiful city of Bath brims with lovely Georgian architecture, a buzzing cultural scene and the well-preserved Roman baths that give it its name. As the owner of the Green River Hotel, Honey is immersed in the city’s bustling hospitality scene — where gossip flows as freely as the afternoon tea, and scandal is never far from the surface. It’s a honey-coloured haven for tourists — and the occasional criminal element.

I really like most of the characters in these books, especially Mary Jane, Clint and Smudger, not a fan of Gloria, nor the motives behind most of the stories and the books seem to wrap up very quickly without much meat on the bones or explanation but an easy read
What did I like, the first 4 books. What I disliked, the decided decline of material in books 5-8. The author should have stopped at 4. Why I chose a 3 star rating? If I could have rated 1-4 alone, it would have been 4 stars. 5-8 would have been 1 star. Compromise. And nope would not recommend. Moving on.
I thoroughly enjoyed this series, such fascinating true to life characters that made these books humorous as well as wonderfully worked out mysteries. The character of the books lies in the background details about the hotel trade but also the antics of the staff
8 fantastic books. Totally gripping with so much laughter popping up at odd times. Really believable characters. We all know some odd people who probably think we are odd. Can’t wait for the next one
