Paddington is my favourite bear, and this is a lovely addition to his tales. Originally created by Michael Bond, this tale has been penned by Karen Jankel. Illustrations are provided by R. W. Alley.

As you can possibly guess from the title, this tale sees Paddington discover the song on the twelve days of Christmas. His initial confusion in relation to the song is very cute, as he tries to hunt for the items mentioned in the tune. The illustrations by Alley also add to the charm; some of them I would happily take from the book (if this was not a crime) and frame them.

For younger readers, and adults like me who just can't turn their back on him, this book offers a lovely little festive tale.

This was so cute!!!
The drawings in the book are so darling and just invite you to follow along on Paddington‘s journey. This really took me back to my childhood.
Only critique would be that the plot was a bit lacking but I guess that is not the primary reason why you would choose to read a book like this.
