30 Days of Prayer: A Bible Study in Psalms
The simplest definition of prayer is "communication with God."
The book of Psalms in the Old Testament is filled with prayers God has graciously given us to show it is possible to pray without ceasing—but only if we let go of our impossible ideas about how we're "supposed to" feel, what we're "supposed to" say, and where we're "supposed to" be when we come to Him. The psalmists talked to God about the past, and they talked to Him about the future, and they asked Him for strength and forgiveness and rescue and justice in the present. We can too.
This study is all about uncomplicating prayer. The psalms not only give us a massive amount of words to pray when we can't find words on our own, but they also give us the faith to pray according to God's will. We will explore thirty psalms and learn how each gives language for our prayers of need, hope, joy, gratitude, sorrow, and question.

30 Days of Prayer is a study of Psalms, teaching the reader how to use the Scriptures in prayer. It is a straightforward read with examples, devotionals and a time of putting your thoughts on paper. For me it is helpful in building my prayer time. By Proverbs 31 Ministries, this is an interactive book with the daily teachings and then a time of reflection. I found it helpful while using this study to have a notebook handy for my reflection time, though the book does suggestion to us that notetaking that is available in many digital copies.
This is an encouragement to deepen my time of prayer as well as an attitude of prayer. From the beginning of the first week the focus on adoration and praise helps the reader to understand the difference between praise and thanksgiving. I had never actually distinguished between the two before. There were also some day’s reading that I spent two days on, so I do not think this is a book to hurry through or to say, “one and done.” It is a book to contemplate and mediate on the Scriptures given as you use them in prayer. I found 30 Days of Prayer to be a wonderful source that I plan to reread again.

From Proverbs 31 Ministries, with a foreword by my favorite prayer warrior Lysa TerKeurst, this #book was so valuable to me during a very difficult season in my life. Psalm 23 has always been my favorite too!

30 Days of Prayer: A Bible Study in Psalms by various Proverbs 31 Ministries writers and Dr. Joel Muddamalle provides a 6 week, 5 day study focused on a Psalm a day, along with commentary, daily Bible application prompts, questions, applying the Scripture, and a prayer.
I have the eBook version, which I usually wouldn’t recommend in a book like this since I like to take notes. However, the book provides an easy explanation of how to use the book in an eBook version to take notes, answer the questions, and use the notes on your device. If found, it very helpful!
I have found this study to be encouraging, loved the Biblical application, and found it to be theologically deep enough for a short daily study.
If you are looking for something to help you deepen your prayer life and why praying the Psalms may help with that, and what does the Psalms teach us. This is an excellent resource to read.

I also see the book making a great gift to give to someone or want to do a group study with.

I honestly thought this was going to be a short dive into a few prayers through Psalms, and while technically right, I was waaay off. This isn't a short and shallow book. It's a deeper dive that would benefit from time, reflection, and prayer. Not only is it set up as six weeks of five devotions related to a topic, but each day has a devotional that takes you deeper, the Psalm of note, and great questions that will make you ponder. Not what I expected, but fantastically surprised at the depth of it all. Will have to go back through and take my time working on the questions. Highly recommend!

I just finished 30 Days of Prayer: A Bible Study of Psalms by Proverbs 31 Ministries. I was blessed, challenged and led to a deeper understanding of how important our prayer time with the Lord truly is. This study made me want to be even more engaged in adoration and praise as much as asking for God’s blessings. It was truly an inspirational devotion.

This great new resource from Proverbs 31 Ministries combines two of my loves: psalms and prayer.
Useful for personal or group study, it groups several psalms into different categories, including praise and lament, and guides you through prayers based on the psalms. It's a creative book that changes things up for people who are familiar with the psalms and want a fresh look at them.

Powerful prayers
So many ways to speak to our heavenly Father. I liked how the prayers was highlighted i.e. adoration, confession, thanksgiving, laments, supplication and intercession.
