As they say you cannot judge a book by its cover. But, in this case you can judge this book by its beautiful cover. Someone complained I guess that they did not know it was a devotional. Well, it is a devotional book, especially for women but not exclusively, and one that I would highly recommend especially if looking for a quality gift with meaning to give to someone. The photos throughout are exquisite. But the substance for each day is what brought me in and was meaningful. Candace gives the reader 30 days of thematic topics all centered around the idea of renewal that included plenty of Bible verses from a variety of versions, a page of personal thoughts from Candace, a section of questions and comments to think about and react to and finally an action page to fill out with a variety of activities. Those action pages were some of the best ideas including the one on faithfulness where you circle 3 words that describe God to you and 3 words that you want to be on display for others. There is an abundance of space to journal and react which I think is the best part about the devotional. Plus, you have daily readings that can supplement each in the back. She is one of our favorite celebrities and this is a winner on many accounts.

I'm really looking forward to reading this (thinking of maybe starting it January 1st?). Now that I have the book in hand I can say it is STUNNING! The details really make it stand out and I love the larger size. There's plenty of room to write, the ribbon bookmark is a game changer, and the fact it's written by one of my favorite actresses is such a bonus.

I think this would make a stunning Christmas gift (or any-time gift) and will be so beautiful to add to someone's self! I know it's going to look great on mine.

This devotional is so inspirational! It’s really well written and organized, and the reflection questions make me slow down, think deeper, and really work through things while on my spiritual journey. I definitely recommend this book!

Loved this devotion. I believe that devotions are all what you make of them. You can skim along or you can dig deep. This book was particularly helpful to me right now in light of the hard things I have been through the last 6 months and was a beautiful tool for digging deeper into God's word.

This devotional is beautifully organized and thoughtfully written. I love the “Think on it” questions because they really make me stop and reflect in a meaningful way- like in the dig deep kind of way. The photos are gorgeous, and the language is simple, honest, and easy to take in. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for in a devotional. It feels personal, relatable, and full of quiet encouragement. Highly recommend.
