This is the perfect gift for Swifties this holiday season! The illustrations were amazing and the facts were fun for veteran and new fans alike. Would definitely recommend purchasing as it’s better than any other activity type books I have found on Amazon!
Thank you to NetGalley and Cider Mill Press for the advanced copy. ARC was given in exchange for an honest review.
Where's Wally but make it Taylor Swift. I loved how each era had a paragraph or two sort of like a biography.
The art is absolutely beautiful. The illustrator should be very proud. The colours, the attention to detail, all of the easter eggs. You can tell this was made by a swiftie or someone who did a lot of research.
My only critique is I would have loved a visual of each item that we were looking for.
This will be a great Christmas present for the swifties in your life.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a review copy!
Where’s T-swift?! It’s Where’s Waldo for the Swifties. Every era has its own Taylor and several other hidden items such as Taylor’s cats, grammy awards, friendship bracelets and more. Adorable and colorful drawings with hidden Easter eggs. Great for all ages. Would be a fun book to have on your coffee table or gift to your favorite Swiftie!
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I received an electronic ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book was cute! This would be the perfect gift for the Swiftie in your life. The illustrations were well done, and I also liked that there was an answer key in the back in case you got really stumped on any of the search and finds.
Swifties will love this beautiful search and find book by Gus Morais. Every illustration matches the vibe of the album(s) it represents and leaves you wanting to scour each one for all the easter eggs you may be missing. I received an electronic copy of this book via NetGalley, but I can't wait to get my hands on the larger print book so I can have the experience I had as a kid with a good Where's Waldo or I Spy book. Only downside is that it doesn't include Showgirl, as I'm sure this book was finished before the new album became available. Maybe they will have to create a second edition for any new albums in a few years.
Thank you to the publisher, the author and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is an in-depth graphic summary of Taylor Swift's eras and albums plus the Eras Tour, which I didn't expect it to be included as an era of its own but I loved it. Such an amazing show, such an incredible era we had. I miss it and it felt so nostalgic and so lovely to see and catch certain details, like the specific dresses for each era, the whole stadium,...
What surprised me most was some intricate details throughout the eras, which is clearly a product of a good investigation of the artist and her musical trademark. (Which I loved.)
I loved the details that referenced some scenes from the music videos (Rep music videos, Lover, Folklore cabin, Evermore performing a "ritual" with the magic, sparkly bright lights,...), and the artist herself and her work.
Last but least, this graphic biography of her musical eras spanning from her childhood to the Eras Tour creates an imaginary and interactive visual world for each album to get lost in. I loved it, although I would have loved if TTPD was included as the era and the album that it was. I understand that it was too late for The Life Of A Showgirl.
If you love Taylor Swift, I recommend you to read this book! You'll have a good time while revisiting some old, nostalgic stuff and details from her past eras.
Candles, guitars, scarves, a cabin lost in the woods, witches performing a ritual, two lovers getting into Cornelia Street,...
P.S.: If you don't know a thing about Taylor Swift, I highly recommend you to start with this and paired with another one while listening to her beautiful, intricately woven verses mixed with musical sounds.
This visual exploration showcases the groundbreaking music career of Taylor Swift, celebrating each album era and her iconic outfits. Through striking photos, timelines, and interesting facts, the book captures the evolution of Swift's career, from her country beginnings to her pop reinventions, indie experiments, and her reign as a record-breaking performer.
Each section highlights key songs, performances, and moments that have shaped her identity as an artist and a cultural icon. The visuals make this book a joy to flip through—colorful, dynamic, and filled with little details that remind fans why Swift's story continues to inspire millions. There are hidden items throughout that cleverly reference moments in her videos, lyrics from her songs, and background knowledge, such as the number 13 and her colored guitars.
This is not a gossip-driven tell-all; rather, it is a curated visual love letter that celebrates creativity, resilience, and connection. It serves both as a keepsake and as a reminder of why Swift's artistry—and her ability to reinvent herself repeatedly—has become a defining part of pop culture.
As a big Swiftie, this was such a fun little read! Taylor Swift: Unofficial Search and Find Biographies is full of cute, playful illustrations that take you through the different eras — from Fearless to Midnights — and I loved spotting all the hidden references and Easter eggs along the way (a dream for detail-loving fans like me!).
It definitely feels like a visual love letter to Taylor’s journey, and I can imagine younger Swifties especially having an absolute blast flipping through the pages and trying to spot Taylor in each scene. It gave me a mix of Where’s Wally energy with a big splash of sparkle and fandom joy. I couldn’t stop smiling at the little nods to iconic moments — it’s clear this was made by someone who really gets the fan experience.
That said, it’s more of a fun tribute than a deep dive, so go into it expecting charm and playfulness rather than biography in the traditional sense.
All in all, this would make a gorgeous gift for a younger fan, a great coffee table book for Swifties, or just a cute way to celebrate the eras we love so much 💫💖✨
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC — opinions are, of course, my own!
Creating Search and Find Biographies for the famous people of our society is such an incredibly fun idea! Taylor Swift’s is the first that I’ve actually come across thus far, but was honestly such an exciting and enjoyable experience to peruse through the pages in search of a specific illustration of Taylor a la ‘Where’s Waldo?’ What was even more exciting was the fact that there were other things to look for on the pages as well, such as a specific guitar or cowboy boots or even thirteen blue birds.
Any Taylor Swift fan is going to have an absolute blast with this book and even those who aren’t die hard fans of hers will enjoy the gamifying aspect of the biography. These would be phenomenal books to have in a school lobby or a doctor’s office or the library. I can just see so many people having a great time with it. This book would also be a great gift for all the Swifities in your life.
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
With this interactive search-and-find book, Morais brings a playful, cartoonish but highly detailed style. You’re not just passively reading and exploring history but instead are hunting for specific hidden items which kind of resembles the Where’s Waldo comics. The spreads are busy, layered, full of color, humor, and subtle references. Each of Taylor’s eras are represented and have their own visual theme that reflects the atmosphere of that album / period. The more detailed references will mean that unless you have some knowledge of Taylor Swift’s albums, lyrics, visuals — some of the easter eggs might go unnoticed or unappreciated. The book digs a bit into prior knowledge, which can be a plus or minus depending on the reader or it can be a challenge to see if you’re an actual fan or not.
Overall, I would give this a 3.5*, because it definitely delivers on the fun, cartoonish, search-and-find interactive experience, but it does lack on any deep analytical substance and depth that explain stories of how these albums came about or excerpts of long interviews, etc.
This is an adorable book for Taylor Swift fans of all ages who enjoy Where's Waldo search and find books. There are lots of opportunities to look for hidden Taylor's and all of the well known things she loves. Each scene is based on one of her albums, and there is a different Taylor for each era to reflect her style at the time of the album. There is an additional search page for "Hidden Taylors," featuring different outfits. For frustrated searchers, there is a deeply appreciated key at the back of the volume to guide in locating particularly hard to find items. I think this could be a fun gift for fans, however, it is not an in-depth biography. This is a search and find book using hand drawn picture of Taylor and items of importance to her. I was given a electronic copy of this book for an honest review
This is a fun "Where's Wally" style search and find book that covers Taylor Swift's career from her Debut album all the way to TTPD. Each double page spread is devoted to an album, featuring Swift dressed in the iconic outfit of the era and filled with little easter eggs from that time. Some of the items are pretty niche (eg "Clara Bow lookalike" "Vintage Shelby Cobra" "1970 Chevy C10" ), which, if one wasn't a die-hard Swiftie, would need to be googled to find out what they are.
As an ebook, this was a bit challenging to really search through; this would be much better in a print copy where the images are larger and you can see the whole scene at a glance.
This would be a great gift for Taylor Swift fans, both the casual ones and the Swifties.
~This is a NetGalley ARC. All opinions are my own~
I loved the drawings!!! I think the illustrator did a great job with the album/era representations and the games were really fun. I wasn’t able to find every single item (I think the Grammy Awards were the hardest) but I still enjoyed it a lot. I love how there were little details that pictured different lyrics only fans would understand.
The only things I would change are better text descriptions of the item we’re supposed to be looking for (there were a few items that were not very specific and it made it hard to find) and better research on the eras (the summaries were good but sometimes there were irrelevant things mentioned or some important things were missing).
What a wonderful book! I remember spending hours looking through types of books like this as a kid (Where's Waldo, being the main one), and all the hidden Taylor Swift easter eggs was such a treat to look for.
I liked that there was information on each spread about the specific era, with the corresponding easter eggs, and that it was themed. The little things like that are truly appreciated in a book like this.
I definitely think that a physical book of this would be better. You could move the page around or use your finger to help look, but having it digitally you could zoom, so that was also a perk.
Also having the guide at the back is useful for when you just can't find the last item, and want to finish it!
At this point I’m sure it’s an open secret that I’m a huge Swiftie. I’m not an OG one, I really started listening to her music with 1989 and Lover was the first I listened as soon as it dropped. So I’m sure you can imagine my excitement when I opened the package and this beautiful book welcomed me! And let me tell you, it is fantastic. I started going through the eras with mom and it was so much fun finding (or trying to find) all the Taylors and the additional items! In the middle there’s a huge Eras Tour picture where you have to find 11(!!!) Taylors.
The book is out on 9th October and this is the perfect present for a Swiftie!
This book is straight up 𝙛𝙪𝙣. The artwork is absolutely stunning with 𝙨𝙤 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙮 little details tucked into each page that you could easily spend hours soaking it all in. What I love most is how each scene is tied to one of Taylor’s albums, making it a playful walk through her discography. You’re not just searching for Taylor herself but also a whole collection of clever extras, inside jokes, easter eggs, and hidden gems that make the hunt even more magical. Swifties are going to eat this up, and honestly, I already know exactly who I’m gifting this fun gem to. It’s 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙟𝙤𝙮 from cover to cover!
Special thanks to NetGalley and Cider Mill Press for the gifted copy 💗
This is the cutest book! I loved search and find books as a kid and as a 30-something Taylor Swift loving millennial, I can't wait to get this book! The graphics look great and there was so much to see! I definitely had to look a few areas over several times to find what I was searching for. I love that we get all the eras of Taylor and some of the most iconic outfits. I would absolutely recommend this to any Swiftie!
Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I have a friend whose daughter LOVES all things Taylor Swift. This is the book for her.
Through quick biographical snippets we learn of Swift's rise to mega stardom and her albums. Events are plastered on facing pages and a list of items to "find" are listed. It's really hard to find most of them as the pages are so very busy. Fortunately, there is a key at the end of the book and I was able to find the rest of the items with the key.
Thank you to the publisher for sending me a copy of this book to review!
Thank you to NetGalley and Cider Mill Press for the ARC of this book.
This book was a wonderful gem of a find for this middle-aged Swiftie! This book is so unique. Each era is represented in beautiful illustrations containing lots of hidden Taylor-related items to find (you also have to find Taylor herself, of course). Make sure you read it while listening to the related Taylor album. So relaxing and fun! This is the perfect gift for Swifties of all ages. I absolutely loved it!
What a fun search and find biography book. I was able to pull up this Netgalley ARC on my ipad and do some searching for what's essentially a Taylor Swift themed Where's Waldo book. I think finding thirteen of something for each of the eras might have been a bit much but it was all still really fun. The graphics were great and easy to see, though not always easy to find which made it challenging.
I received a complementary ARC of this book from NetGalley on behalf of the author and the publisher. A super search and find book for anyone who likes Taylor Swift. Fun themes that go along with her history and albums. I love the different looks she's wearing in the different Eras in each picture. The pictures on the pages are colorful and fun and I enjoyed searching for all of the hidden treasures.
While the artwork is nice and this was a quick fun activity I don't see it being a needed collectible for Swifties.
On the other hand I do think this activity book was made for younger fans. Somewhere around the preteen age. The book gives a quick snippet of each of Taylor Swift Era and then has beautiful artwork for you to search and find key mementos from her career.
The biography part is brief, just a couple sentences for each era (up to TTPD and with additional section about Eras Tour), but the illustrations are beautiful and it's super fun to search for Taylor and Taylor-related details on each page.
There are different Taylors to look for and each section has a list of images to look for on each graphic.
Should be super fun for both the kids and adult Swifties!
This book is absolutely adorable! It is clearly made by a Swiftie and is very thoughtfully designed and illustrated, with lots of easter eggs and charming illustrations that are such a joy to be immersed in. There is also an answer key in the back, in case you need help! This is "Where's Waldo?" for Taylor Swift fans, and it would make a perfect gift for both children and adults.
Thank you to Cider Mill Press and NetGalley for providing an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you NetGally for this Arc! I'm a huge Taylor Swift fan, and this book was just amazing. It’s like "Where’s Waldo?" Taylor’s Version. The different eras were illustrated perfectly, and a few of them really made me laugh. Especially the zombies in Reputation. Hilarious. Definitely something for every Swiftie or for the kids of Swifties. Love it!
I'm not really a Swifty, but I do love a good Where's Waldo experience. This book was very well done. It told Taylor's life story through her albums, along with lots of things to find besides her and her epic outfits. It was kind of a pain having to flip back and forth to see what look she had for which album, but all in all a fun book I'm sure Swifty's will love.
For fans of Where’s Waldo and the Scavenger hunt portions of Two Dots, this book is chock full of call backs to each Era. The art is fun and bubbly and the scavenger hunt is a good challenge. I wish the biography went into a little more detail, but overall felt like this was a very fun book and am excited to buy copies for all of the Swifties in my life.
This was such a fun read. As a huge Taylor Swift fun. I loved looking at the illustrations. It brought me so much joy reading this. Everyone needs to pick up their copy when this comes out. I will for sure be buying this to put on my selves.
What a cute book! The lovingly done illustrations are full of interesting details and are an excellently curated journey through Taylor Swift's eras. I highly recommend to anyone who likes Where's Waldo type games!
