The NET Bible, Large Print Thinline Reference Edition is such a pretty Bible, with a soft, pliable brown Leathersoft cover, gold-foiled page edges, two-attached ribbon markers, and a thumb index that makes it simple to find each book of the Old and New Testaments.
I like the large print (Comfort Print 10-Pt typeface) but would like it even a bit larger so I don’t have to use my readers. There is an abundance of translator notes, stating literal, alternative, and traditional translations, as well as language, textual, and explanatory notes. If you’re not familiar with the NET translation, there is a section in the beginning of the Bible that details when, how, and why this translation was created.
I appreciate the traditional two-column design and that the notes are at the bottom of the pages rather than in a center column that can crowd a page. The introduction notes for each book are brief but clarifying. There are a few full-page maps in the back that are helpful.
With a thin profile, double stitched soft cover, and a thumb-index, this Bible is a favorite of mine. I keep it on my nightstand for my nightly reading, and love that it is compact enough to take on the go.
Genre: Bible
Publisher: Thomas Nelson
Page Count: 1504
