.She needs a fake husband. Too bad for her — I don’t do fake.
Raven thinks I’m just another rich, powerful, and devastatingly handsome billionaire looking for a business deal. Cute. She has no idea who she’s dealing with. I’m Karc. A warrior. A prince. A damn menace when someone dares to defy me.
She walked into my world asking for a pretend marriage to keep her safe. Fine. I’ll play along. But the moment I slide that ring onto her finger?
She’s mine.
She wants boundaries? Broken. She wants no touching? Too late. She wants to escape? Try me, little human.
Because the second I saw her, I knew the truth — she’s not just my fake wife. She’s my fated mate.
And I’ll burn the whole galaxy before I ever let her go.
Read on A laugh out loud science fiction alien romance that will have you chuckling along as you fall in love all over again. While this romance may be out of this world, the feelings will bring out something from deep inside you. HEA guaranteed!!
Athena Storm is the pen name for two authors who fell in love with writing science fiction romance as they fell in love with each other.
She's the Athena. And he's the Storm. Athena hopes that one day it won't be a boyfriend/girlfriend writing duo, but a husband/wife team. But she's not pressuring at all. Not one bit.
Science fiction is the biggest love for the writing duo, and they've been doing the writing for quite some time now, building a universe that readers can get lost and explore in. Filled with big bad alien warriors, sassy human women who give as well as they get, hilarious situations, and enough steam to melt stars!
The duo have created the Athenaverse, where all books in all series are tied together. You can start anywhere but once you do, you'll want to explore them all!
When they get married, they plan to continue writing science fiction romance forever. But again, no pressure on the marrying part. Not at all. (Not like writing Happily Ever After ALL Day won't give you any ideas on its own, right?)

After Karc or Kirk rescues her her and her roommate deep dive into him. NOw she's thinking maybe he set it up. So it's time for her alter ego to come out and play. She makes it into his office and there she does her paint spraying. Then a voice makes her pause, she turns and sees a golden lizard man. Then she hears sounds and goes to investigate and finds the golden lizard man on the bed watching pictures of her. But he knows she's there and he catches her. Now he has for the whole night. Well this is something, she's not sure what since she's having issues thinking. But she's been burnt before and won't be taken unaware. A Grolgath, a Vakutan and a human meet in a club. Is any of it fit for anything's ears? Will Karc get the Grolgath or will he lose his Raven to their nefarious schemes? Another amazing story of the Vakutan and the Grolgath. Adventure of a high order.

Ok, so I am going to guess that this book is part of the “Mates of Veritas” series, but please don’t quote me on that. Just like the first book I reviewed in this universe, this book centers around an Alien and a MFC, human.
I am in it for the two different alien races and why they are here on earth, plus they have some really cool technology. There is something crazy going on and they have got me hooked on trying to figure it out.
I love that the FMC isn’t a weeping willow. Yeah, she’s been hurt, but she’s not going to fall into some guys arms just because he says the right things and happens to be a billionaire. She also has some other mad skills.
I also love that the main alien character acknowledges that she is a warrior, and has instincts and observations that she should trust, because he does.
This is, of course, a “wedding”, so we get to meet the in-laws and boy are they a lot of fun! As you would expect the father of the Alien is also a warrior and greets him, well, accordingly and as is customary. The FMC’s parents, quirky doesn’t do them justice. You’ll just have to meet them yourself.
This book does have a great plot and answers some of the questions that came up in at least the one other book I read. Also, if you read and like this book, I have come to understand that there are other books in this universe.
Now, it needs to be said that there is more BDSM in this story and a sex party. So again, if that isn’t your thing, either skip over it or maybe this book isn’t for you.
“You’re not like the others here. You’re… real.” 'I swallow hard, my usual defenses faltering. “Real? In this place? That’s a first.” He doesn’t respond, just watches me with those impossible eyes, and for the first time in a long time, I feel seen. Not ogled, not objectified— seen. It’s terrifying and exhilarating all at once.'
I really enjoyed this book. I was so excited for another romance in the Vakutan vs Grolgath series. And the fake relationship trope is one of my favorites. Though Raven will soon learn that Karc plays for keeps when it comes to his mate. Great world building and wonderful characters.
I loved both Karc and Raven. Raven is quick on her feet and fast-thinking, and I loved her from her very first page seeing how she handled herself side-stepping pushy, handsy customers. I liked their first meeting- the connection and the chemistry just sizzled.
“Then let’s call it curiosity. I want to know what makes you tick, Raven. What you want. What you need.” I swallow hard, my defenses rising like walls. “And what makes you think you’re qualified to know?” His smile softens, and for the first time, it feels genuine. “Because I’m asking. And because I think you’re worth knowing.”
After a kiss, she panicked and ran, was attacked by men and he was suddenly there to rescue her. A coincidence? I did not expect her next action- it was not the turn of events I expected, but I was completely hooked. 4 stars.
“For the first time in centuries, I know what I want - really want. And I'll do whatever it takes to win her heart.”
My new favorite alien story by Athena Storm and it’s a hot one! What’s a girl to do when the future of mankind hangs in the balance? I recommend embracing the danger and enjoying the ride😉as this action packed story never lets up!! The evil Grolgaths have an agenda for destroying the world that needs to be stopped. Giscard, a Grolgath nightclub owner who’s as dirty as they come is up to something. As the nightclub’s women employees start disappearing, Karc, a Vakutan warrior, is assigned to the investigation. To do that, he needs to infiltrate the VIP Hellfire Club on the 6th floor that is open only for married couples. Enter Raven, a new waitress who disconcertingly affects Karc like no other female. Throw in danger, bondage, and the man(um alien) of your own - sign me up! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this story.
📖 Summary: Fake marriage and fated mates? Say less. This was funny, fast-paced, very spicy, and totally chaotic in the best way. Raven is a total spitfire who doesn’t back down — and somehow ends up in a fake marriage with Karc.
📚 Bookish Moments: Raven has that spunky, no-nonsense energy I love. She’s real, bold, and not afraid to throw insults. Her calling Karc “Lizard Boy” every five minutes? Iconic. Karc is on a secret mission to save the world — and absolutely wasn’t prepared to find his fated mate.
🌌 Worldbuilding: Short but strong! The save-the-world mission added just the right amount of adventure.
💭 Final Thoughts: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was such a fun, spicy little ride. If you love fated mates, fake marriages, and alien romances, this one’s for you.
There are some BDSM and bondage scenes, so check the TWs and maybe skip if that’s not your thing.

I really like this series. I love the humor, the suspense and the very steamy eventual romance to the story. Raven is unique. I love her secret life. And the fact that she is the one to "save the day". Karc(Kirk) is of course the perfect warrior. Commanding and unbending. He figures out who Raven is to him fairly quickly. She becomes his whole world. His pet name for Raven fits her like a glove. I loved the "meet the parents" It will definitely put a smile to your face. Of course there is the perfect HEA for them. Action throughout. Another wonderful addition to this series.

Athena is really on a roll with these books. They are all individually one of a kind but they follow a story line. I have never had more fun then I have with these different books. This one is non-stop action, an instant attraction to a woman that is meant to be his. I loved the by-play between the two main characters as they fall more and more for one another. Raven is a spunky full of action girl and she totally matches Karc in every way. They are the perfect match as he is dealing with his mission and she rounds things out perfectly and matches him in every step they take as they try to save the world. I highly recommend this book.
Loved this story from the beginning to the end. It had wonderful characters, humor that made me giggle, steamy romantic scenes, well develop plot with lots of action and drama that entertained me as I'd read. This story is about Raven a server at the club Area 51 and Prince Karc a Vakutan warrior who undercover trying to find what happened to the missing women. Karc buys a bottle of champagne and asks her what she wants. She replies, "A man who won't break her heart". But when she leaves for the night Karc senses she's in trouble and rescues her. What occurs afterwards was an enjoyable story I'd volunteer to read and review.
This is a very over the top story. It's funny and intense and something that you would not expect. Raven is in trouble and Karc has saved her one too many times. This is why he believes that being engaged to her will help this along and keeping her safe. There are a couple villains as we know that always appear when it comes to mates. So is she going to have to face some dilemmas and come to grips that she is a faded mate for this alien fake wedding or not! But then again, maybe not. Raven is a character that can be slightly irritating but of course we always root for the underdog.

This is another fun read by this author and it brings together Raven, a feisty human, and Karc, a Vakutan warrior, and sets them on a wild and chaotic path to an HEA. These two are the perfect match and I really liked that he respected Raven's intuition and determination. He's on a mission but she fits into it so well and, yeah, super hot chemistry ;P Expect to be entranced with the non-stop action, drama, great side characters and the hot romance in this fast paced romance. So fun and I hope we keep getting stories set in this world :D
Crisis Averted. What started as an opposites attract insta-steam sci fi story ended up feeling like a creative James Bond plot with Raven and Karc working together to save the world. Loved the fun banter and the tongue in cheek shmoosing. As always, I love a HEA particularly when quirky family play key roles.

Exciting and romantic! A wonderful story of two people who meet under unusual circumstances! Karc, a Vakutan, is posing as a billionaire and trying to gain favor with a Grolgath club owner. Raven works as a server in this club. She is also the renown tagger named Blackbird. They find they're wildly attracted to each other, but Karc is on a mission and Raven is too damaged. They end up on a wild ride that may not end well! Great read!.
This has been a fun series thus far and this next read was just as good as the others. Raven and Karc were a fun couple and this awas an enjoyable read. With a recent family loss this was just the pick me up I needed. :D I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Kirk/Karc and Raven. The out of this world story keeps us turning the pages with secrets, connection, danger, a bit of kink and steam.

My Big Fat Alien Wedding was a bit of a struggle for me. I was hooked at the beginning but then, I just kind of lost interest. It’s not bad, it’s just not my cup of tea. Other reviewers loved it but the vigilante/grafitti artist was a bit much and the BDSM club didn’t do it for me. Maybe the next one.
