This catechism introduces some of the most important, fundamental doctrines of the Scriptures. Adapted and simplified from The Westminster Larger Catechism, General Assembly of the Church of Scotland (1648), Catechism for Young Children, An Introduction to the Shorter Catechism by Joseph Engels (1840), and the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. Terminology is broken down into plain terms for easy understanding.
The format of the catechism is twelve topics consisting of seven questions, one for each day of the week, allowing a three-month personal study on basic evangelical doctrines. Catechism can be used by churches, small group Bible studies, youth programs, or family devotions. Simple Catechism for Believers is purposefully written to allow a thoughtful self examination. The questions and answers are personalized, so that it becomes true to the reader's heart.
