This book i read it all yesterday and it was amazing! There was some mystery, some suspense, some action and spice! I just couldn't get enough. I did figure out the mystery early on 🤭 Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Okay, I need to start by mentioning that I am not a huge fan of motorcycle/mafia romance. (If you are mentally picturing that scene from Game of Thrones, where they're yelling "Shame! Shame!", I know I'm picturing it too as I type this out.)

I have tried so many times, and I just can't finish them. Now, I love a mafia book, but when bike clubs are thrown in, I always struggle. I have nothing against bikes. It's just all my previous reads fall short of what I want in a juicy mafia romance.

So when I tell you that I enjoyed this book, that means a lot. So, out of all my motorcycle/mafia tropes, this is my five-star one.

The plot and writing style kept me engaged. The story moved quickly, and there were no dull moments.

The characters' behavior felt like honest responses to their upbringing, which I loved. I mean, our main MC female is not going to be having tea parties and dressing in Dolce and Gabanna. She was raised in a motorcycle club and went through so many OMG moments that if she didn't have thick skin, she would not have survived. I love when authors have characters act the way they were shaped. It just feels so much more genuine.

Cora, our MC female, was like a cactus to me—hard and prickly yet beautiful and unique. If you poked her too deep, she'd prove to you that no matter how hard she looked, she was emotional on the inside. I felt gutted when her failed attempts to escape failed, and then I was rooting for her to accomplish all her dreams.

Zeke, our MC male, is a knight in shining armor! I'm a little scared to say too much because I know I won't be able to stop, and then I'd spoil something, so all I'll say is that he's mysterious, possessive, and smart. He's the type of chili pepper you need in your spicy romance.

I'm very thankful I was able to be a part of this ARC team.

This book was a great find! I grabbed it straight from the author at an indie convention and devoured it in two nights.

We follow a motorcycle club and its members as the daughter of the prez gets put through hell. Getting a random text one day saying someone wants her help taking the club down, and she’s more than ready to "literally" burn it all to the ground.

After losing everyone she truly cares about in her life except for one childhood friend who won’t even look her way, she goes into survival mode to help get information to destroy the club.

With a swoony "omg yes' moment to tears falling from my face, I stayed up way too late because I had to know what was going to happen.

As this is an MC story, yes, there’s a full‑on gun war that had be giddy with anxiety induced excitement.

Holy cow

This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time! If you like motorcycle clubs and retribution and plot twists galore then this is the book for you. A 2nd chance love/friends turned enemies turned lovers action romance - the plot was phenomenal. I wish there would have been a little more elaboration on certain connections and a kind of better ending/glimpse into the HEA afterwards to tie up a few loose ends - but overall if was a good read.

There are triggers in the book, so be aware - spice content wise I would put this at a 4 out 5 - there is a heavy dose of sex/sex work themes throughout the novel - definitely an 18+ book .... but boy is it ever delicious 😋

4.25⭐️ OKAY so once you get past the stomach-turning beginning of this book and all the awful crap going on in the club, things get intense!! I was on the edge of my seat every second after Cora and Stallion started working together. Loved the two main characters, their love story and allllll the action that kept this book moving. Jenn has done it again 🤌🏽

Holy cow there was a lot to unpack in this one! That being said, I really enjoyed the book. The main characters had so much chemistry and so many twists and turns. It was a page turner and I was on the edge of my seat towards the end of the book. Cora is a strong female character who is finally able to stand up for herself after years of abuse. Recommend this one!

I haven’t read many books with bike gangs (mafia) but this book definitely was one I enjoyed. A well written book that kept me interested and was hard to put down. Cora is one spicy character. Her childhood and upbringing was not easy at all. She has spunk and courage.

I never knew what twist was coming next, and each one left my jaw hitting the floor. The character development is stunning, and I loved watching Cora grow stronger with every chapter. The love story woven through this fierce tale is incredible—their connection is electrifying, palpable, and you can feel how deeply they care for each other every step of the way. And the spice? It’s absolutely scorching. I wholeheartedly recommend this book if you’re craving a motorcycle club story that breaks the mold—dark, intense, and unforgettable.
